Missing internet icon in system tray/notification area

I have a HP G70 111em portable and for the last few days the internet icon with the globe, which lets me know... connected im is missing... the odd time it seems once again but not usually. Ive already gone in the settings but it won't let me check that it displays. Ive looked on the internet and to be honest, some of the answers have confused the hell out of me, but also be totally false. I was wondering if anyone can help, please!

    2. for the Volume icon.

    (B) to activate the Volume - icon Enable_Volume.reg< click="" to="">

Then follow the instructions from #5 to #9.

Don't forget to restart the computer to perform the procedures.

  • On the system tray notifications do not appear.

I have no idea why, but in my system tray notifications is more "pop up."  I still hear the sound and see the incontinence system tray, but the pop-up with the notification is no longer there.  For example, when a new version of windows is available, I see just the Update icon but not the box pop up.

Someone know why it happened or how do I restore the pop up notifications?  I have a Dell Lattitude D630 and am running Windows 7 Professional.  Thank you!

    Hello Nemo959,

First of all, although you have gone through the notification tray properties, you may have turned off individual items in the center of the action?

    -Click on the Start button

-Center of action type in the search box of the start menu

-Click Action Center in the results

-The click Change Action Center settings

In addition, make sure that you have no notifications of ball off the power.

    -Click on the Start button

-Type gpedit.msc in the search box on the start menu

    -Click Gpedit in results

In the Local Group Policy Editor:

-Left pane navigate to User Configuration > administrative templates > Start Menu and taskbar

-Locate Turn off all balloon notifications > right click > click on change

This value Disable > click OK > close the local Group Policy Editor

Restart and test to determine if this solves your problem.

    Hope this helps

  • In Windows 7, icons in the system tray / notification look area low resolution

Here's a screenshot of my notification area / system tray (whatever it's called now) flying:

As you can see, for some programs look systray icons very low resolution and just plain bad.
I have reviewed the icon for the executable file of these programs and has determined that all of the resolutions of the icon is available (256 x 256, 48 x 48, 32 x 32, 24 x 24, 16 x 16).
I tried to correct the problem by placing a custom in the program directory file app.ico.
    Nothing seems to work.
The resolution of my monitor is correctly defined in the display settings.
I talked to other users of W7 using the same programs and they report that the icons look very well for them.

I'm running a fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate on a Lenovo T60 with a 'landscape' theme Windows applied (IE no programs custom theme or something like that).
As a result of this issue, maybe someone could tell me what use the resolution of the Windows icon in the system tray?
    Thank you

in fact you don't have to restore your system, because maybe you have already lived a few weeks with the problem.

    It worked smoothly for me.

    -load a default theme
    -check the advanced appearance settings
-compare the number of dimensions of each element with the decimal version of the 'size' on

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Appearance\New Schemes\Current SaveAll\Sizes\0 settings

-There should be two numbers that do not match (for me were 21 on dialog appearance and 23 in the registry, twice).
-Double-click on the registry value and write what you have on the dialog edit the data type decimal.
    -Repeat for the other incompatibilities
    -close the registry
    -Start the Task Manager
-complete the process explorer.exe (Don't panic)
-menu file, new task run explorer.exe
    -Close Task Manager
    -smile
    God bless you

  • Tray (Notification area) system acting weird icons.

For the last few days I've noticed a problem with my system tray icons, when I run my mouse over them (by chance or to check the status of the battery etc) I noticed that the highlight icon remains highlighted, even if I move the mouse away. This happens for each icon in the system tray, becomes the more times I move the mouse on the icon the darker background.  I also observed the changing context of solid color to a random icon like google chrome.
I've included two screenshots as reference.

  • Icons disappearing system tray

I have a number of work stations in my business running a standard image of the company (Win 7 SP1 Enterprise), and I have icons randomly which disappears from the system tray. It seems to affect the SCEP Protocol the most. CEP app still works if you go into task manager and other applications are running when they disappear. The "Always show all icons and notifications on the taskbar" is selected, that I can see what I'm supposed to - but sometimes apps just disappear.

Any suggestions on where to look or what to try next?

  • My desktop icons and system tray icons are missing!

It seemed as if an adobe program trying to install an update, and I cancelled it. All of a sudden all my files/desktop icons were missing. If I go to my folder on the desktop, they do not always, show however, if I search for a specific file name I remember from my old desktop files, it will search, still saying its in the desktop folder... What is the problem?  My option for show desktop icons is checked and tried to re - sort icons by grid, etc. Changed the size too. There is an icon that doesn't disappear and it's Internet Explorer.  Help!

    Hi LuvlyLisaLou,

    1. what adobe update was trying to install?

    2. you receive messages or error codes?

    Step 1:

You can try to run a SFC scan and check.

This problem may occur if a system file is missing or damaged.

You can refer to the method-the System File Checker tool in the following article:

How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

    Step 2:

If you're still having problems, then you can try a system restore to a restore point that you knew the question...

Note: When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

To run the system restore, you can consult the following link:

  • Windows 7 missing icons in system tray

My icons of toolbar State system disappeared about a week or two after I have my laptop. When I go to restore them or turn them on my computer tells me my administrator has them turned off and I cannot turn on their return.  I AM THE ADMINISTRATOR. I'm the only user on my computer. Can someone help me? How can I make my computer understand that I am the administrator? I've never disabled icons. I just got my computer on one day and they were gone!

Try to rebuild your icon cache:

    (1) close all programs
    2) click Start, then type 'CMD' (without the quoatation marks) in the search programs and files engine
    (3) then right click on the CMD program that appears in the list, and then select: run as administrator
    4) access: C:\Users\\AppData\Local
(at the prompt enter: CD /d %userprofile%\AppData\Local now, press the "Enter" key)
    (5) now delete the IconCache.db file as follows: DEL IconCache.db /ah and press the enter"" key.
    (6) close the command window.
    7-restart the computer.

  • Missing Internet icon slate Pro 8

    Hello

I hope someone can give me some light on this.

I don't when, but I realized that the Internet (Blue Earth) icon is gone from my slate 8 Pro.
I think that might occur after an upgrade to Android prayed, resembled a upgrede Mayor.
I still have Chrome, but if there is a way to get back the original Internet app, that would be great as it is the one that I usually use to navigate.
In addition there are also 2 cameras, the standard camera and a device nine photo! It is not familiar to me.

Thank you for any comments on this. Thank you in advance.

Hello and welcome to the HP support community!

Slate Pro 8 ready article I just check and see the same thing: after update KitKat, the (Stock) AOSPS browser is gone!

Googling the subject confirms the fact that this is the result of the upgrade.

There are sites that offer instructions on how to install the old browser supposedly, but you use them at your own risk!

There are many free browsers available for download in the game store if you do not like Chrome...

I don't see the two apps Camera too!  Curious...

    Hello

    Hello

All the icons that appear in the status bar are applications running in the background and start.
All programs of that are needed to use different functions on the laptop. For example:
    Energy saving, touch pad, etc.
Well, it is possible to hide unused applications:
Make a right-click on the Green Start button - tab taskbar - enable option Hide inactive icons
