  In addition to Ajay has suggested, try to repair the database (www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/) and use its suggestions to determine which program is responsible for run Winmail on its own.  Also check 3rd party, such as antivirus, program interferences.  See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3

• ScanJet 4890 light bar trips at the end of the scanning glass and not coming back in the beginning

  My ScanJet 4890 sometimes does not work properly.  In preview mode, the light bar will sometimes travel to the end of the scanner with light on and not go back.  The engine receives a sharp wail.  I have to turn the scanner and then turn the GET the light bar to return to the starting position.  Sometimes, it works correctly.    How can I fix my scanner?

  I found an unusual solution to my own problem.  I drilled a hole of the housing of the scanner.  Then when the light bar gets stuck, I push a pencil into the hold and kick the light bar.  The bar is moving on its own and returns to its storage position. So, I can continue without turning the scanner on/off.  I suspect that the engine needs to be replaced, I can do later if I can find one that suits.

  Until a few days back all sent files has been noticed but suddenly two of the sent files are missing and I am unable to find the same.  I use vista and windows mail.  Please let me know how recover/find missing files.

  Try searching *.eml and make sure you include hidden files and folders in the search parameters.  See also here for the Organization of store message (www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm).  You should be able to use the browser to go to the directory of sent items under the directory of local records and the actual messages will be located there.  It may be useful to compact and repair the database (see www.oehelp.com/WMUTil/) and make sure that everything in the folder, you saw the value. Current view | Show all messages.

• Language bar is gone and not coming back

  I seem to have lost my language bar. I don't know if I still never had it but I need it now and I'm not. I used to pass to the Chinese for some reason any, although I never (thought), I installed, when I hit the shortcut key. I want the Korean keyboard in particular. I went in the regional and language and installed options the Korean IME keyboard. In the language bar tab, I made sure the bar is not hidden, so this isn't the issue. When I right click on the taskbar, the language bar isn't even in the list of toolbars. When I type the shortcut keys to change the input language, nothing has changed and I still type in English. Am I missing something?

  The same thing happened to me tonight. Here's how I've sorted.

  In the case of windows 7, go to the Panel of control-> clock, language and region-> region and language-> keyboards and languages, tab-> change keyboards-> tab button language bar

  Then simply change the language bar hidden in the "embedded in the taskbar" and're you good to go.

  Microsoft should really do something about the entry in help for this issue. The whole "If you don't see it in the list on the toolbar, then you do not have many languages ' riff is just annoying when you're stuck with no language bar.

  I already googled the problem and have tried all the suggested fixes. When I click on the "Show Favorites" top right icon, I can click on 'Personal bar' and I can see the bookmarks in a list, but they are no longer on a bar to the top of my screen and the 'view Bookmarks Toolbar' is already checked. Also, I already opened the menu, hit personalize and then show/hide toolbars and the 'personal bar' is checked.

  When you enable the toolbar of bookmarks on, and besides, anything happens at all - for example, you get an empty bar? Other ways to access the list of the toolbar include:

  • Right click on an empty area of the tab bar
  • Click the "+" button on the tab bar
  • Press the Alt key to display the menu bar temporarily, and then view > toolbars
  • button '3-bar' menu > customize > show/hide toolbars

  Sometimes, the file that stores the State of the toolbar is corrupted. You can rename the file and customize it from scratch.

  Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

  I rebooted, I did a restore yesterday evening.  Several days even once, I stopped being able to receive and send emails, so I followed the instructions of Ajay K.  It seemed like it might be the virus scanner, but instructions didn't work, so I did the next steps recommended and is when enamel has completely disappeared.

  This symptom may be caused by the interference of an antivirus program. What antivirus do you use? Some of them are causing problems with Windows Mail, including Norton and McAfee antivirus programs. At a minimum, email, scanning in the antivirus must be turned off, although maybe it's not enough to eliminate all the bad effects. In the worst case scenario, your antivirus program may be uninstalled/reinstalled or replaced. A free antivirus that is 100% compatible is available here:

  So I was testing on some things with windows that I hadn't used before and thought I'd give mail windows to try because it combines emails. I didn't know that it would take all of my emails from my Aol account. Emails are in my windows mail inbox but they are very important and I need it in my Aol pronto account. I plan not using windows mail at all because it did not work with my other email provider. Is there any other way, in addition to passing all the emails to get back them on my Aol Inbox?   I did export and then used the other program you suggested to compact the database, and finally I could work on my mail.  I could even delete nearly 1000 emails in the deleted files folder. Before it would just give me an error message.

  The only other thing I can suggest is to back up and then delete the following registry keys:

  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities

  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Mail

  I start with the first and then see if it works.  If this isn't the case, then delete them both.

  thought I'd post here here as having a few issues with my Windows Mail but my desktop computer suffers the same problems and on a Vista forum where I posted my problem a few very useful told me who to try to solve the problems.

  One of them suddenly realized I had said my laptop is a Toshiba, and apparently the Desktop SMS and Windows Mail are not working together so that the person suggested unless I use it to uninstall apparently amongst the technically trained its known that these two programs do not like each other and explain why my office is not the problem but the laptop don't.

  After you have reset the Touch of Windows Mail (tutorial on a site http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/ vista) wood don't be put off by vistax64 as site 32 and 64 and followed great reset Windows Mail from Brink (do not restore all mail) then uninstalled Desktop SMS and touch of the drink no more mail questions that gave me problems almost every day with marking than reading/sending project messages.

  So had to click forward then remove those bits and complete the email to send and touch wood since doing these two things as soon as send an email to the box shipment or project to obtain the number of emails in parentheses, whereas before it wouldn't happen unless I closed the program and then reopened.

  Hoping that these solutions have solved my problem and wanted to share it with someone else who wants to read this thread and you recommend Vista 64 because they are all very useful there and speak in non-technical terms for those of us not technically trained.
