  This problem may occur if one or more of the following conditions are met:

  (a) basic input/output system (BIOS) does not detect the hard drive.

  (b) the hard disk is damaged.

  (c) sector 0 of the physical disk has an incorrect or malformed master boot (MBR) record.

  I have a dv6 7010 WE

  I used to have Windows 7 x 64. I tried to install a dual boot Ubuntu, but if it worked I would not write this.

  I tried to install Ubuntu with a live CD. I've been running Ubuntu, I thought it was over install and I restarted the computer. When he came back he said "Missing Operating System". The live CD was not in when he did this, and then I put it back on and restarted and he returned to Ubuntu and offered to install again. I didn't install it and I restarted just once again (error). Yet once he came with "Missing Operating System". I restarted again, but press the ESC key and went to the start menu. I've sailed around, trying to make a boot recovery and try to do a system restore, but none of them worked.

  Now when I put the Ubuntu CD in I don't you Ubuntu, but the same screen lack of operating system

  I tried to get a download of Windows 7 and reinstall it on another drive, but I didn't do well do things and don't want to take the risk even once.

  I cannot enter in a command window and can do stuff with it, but I have no idea what to do at this point.

  I'm stuck and I really really need help. I really really want to buy a new computer. My computer did not come with a Windows 7 installation disc.

  Please do not answer. I just ordered recovery through Staples discs.

  To anyone else reading this, I suggest you just buy the recovery disc for your computer.

  The recovery discs also got rid of all the stuff of Ubuntu

  2 - what you want to say that you receive this error message during the installation of Windows XP?

  Check to see if the following is useful.

  Method 1: Disconnect all devices non-essential connected to the computer and restart. Check to see if it boots normally.

  Method 2: You may need to check the settings of the BIOS (Basic Input\Output System). Check if the hard drive is detected. If this is not the case, check the physical connections. Refer to the manual to check the same.

  Warning of the BIOS:

  BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

  Will there be repercussions to Program Files on one partition other than the operating system of the installation?  Most if not all the software packages allow to customize the installation.  I had an experience with OFFICE 2013 and this allowed me to install on a separate partition.  After installation, I checked the menu START was 2013 OFFICE & I was able to launch PwrPt without complications.

  My motivation for doing this is that I have several versions of LabView which occupies the huge disk space.  So if I can separate the backup image of my OS program files is greatly reduced in size.  This allows me to record several images of my OS by dates without needlessly chewing my external hard drive.

  Anyone know this & if yes are there complications or questions?

  If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

  Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

  Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

  At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

  When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

  A new installation of windows 7 can be said to delete this partition. do you when you get to the section "where do you want to install windows?" in installing windows 7. There is a player options button that allows you to delete both partitions... then create 1 new partition for windows and it throws a message saying that the operating system can create additional partitions... blah blah... and she... that way the 100 MB partition is clear.   The recovery disc for your model will not work on a different model motherboard.

  They are only designed to run on the original motherboard with the PC came.

  If you were to try using them, they will report and error and the installation will leave.

  I can install the soft cloud creative very well.  But after I installed my first app (Photoshop the first time), it is said then that creative cloud is missing or damaged when I try to install another app.  The computer will then ask me to re-download creative cloud, but when I click the installer for a second time, it "opens", but nothing happens.

  The first time it happened, I uninstalled and reinstalled creative cloud.  It installed correctly and I installed InDesign (the first application for the second round), but he does the same thing - creative cloud is missing or damaged after this first installation and rerun the installation has nothing.  In addition to this message for the creative cloud, if I try to run the setup .exe for the app directly, it will start the configuration, then quit with no error message or anything - just installation box goes.

  Type below command and press the enter"" key.

  Then go to the Local > Adobe.

  Open the Adobe folder and delete files named AAMUpdater and OOBE. [* important]
  

  Step 4:

  Make sure that Adobe Creative Cloud is not listed in the control panel > programs and features. list.
