  Try to identify the first photo that always must download and does not.  Most of your pictures will be perfectly okay, but a bad point could hide the progression. A video or a photo in a format not supported.

Assuming the photo library you meant the images library, like the one on the little box in the file Explorer, users, go to start, computer, drive C, and right-click on my pictures, and then select Properties. If this was not the 'official' picture library, go to the folder view these photos and go to properties it there instead.

  Now on the shortcut menu, click previous versions, wait list to fill out, when it does, click one of the folders that was before the photos have disappeared and select restore.

  Somehow, when the first update, the original files became corrupt after the update. It seems that any place where there is an added effect has been corrupted. This horrible.   I think this isn't the Windows update that caused this problem. It could be something else the cause. Windows Update never removes any of your files and folders stored in the computer.

  You can try a system restore to a previous point when the computer was working properly.

  In Lightroom, select a missing image. Control (or right) click on and select go to folder. Highlight the folder in the sidebar on your screen and select "show in finder". Now with the open folder, enter time machine and restore the image files. If the folder itself got deleted or renamed in the folder on the left panel, select the parent folder and do the same thing. If no parent folder is not displayed, right (or control), click on the folder and make Lightroom show the folder parent in the sidebar.
