  I tried all the drivers for my HP for Windows 8. Yes, I am installing Windows 7 on the machine. Windows 8 gave me so many nightmares to lock up. Have already reset the PC 6 times. It is time to put 7 here. But, does anyone have knowledge of where to find the LAN drivers and other? It doesn't have the Atheros. I tried 4 on the HP site with no luck. Windows is not yet pick up.

• Where are the drivers for HP Pavilion dv7-3065dx notebook PC USB?

  I just had a really annoying couple of hours to find out that the next step in my quest to get all four of the USB ports on my HP Pavilion dv7-3065dx Entertainment Notebook PC working again is to reinstall the USB driver.  The problem is this driver seems to be hidden safely in a place where dangerous people like me can't get to work.  Can someone tell where I can get this driver?  Please, humor me - I just fell off the turnip truck and I did what is obvious to search "drivers and support" area of HP one USB for a HP Pavilion dv7-3065dx Entertainment Notebook PC running win7 64 bit driver.  He isn't here.  So where is it?

  You don't need a special usb driver. It is part of the main chipset driver and eventually the operating system itself. If you have problems with the usb ports does not work, it is most likely hardware. However, one thing you can try is going into Device Manager, all that can be uninstalled, the uninstall usb devices, restart and allow drivers to recharge. When I have a laptop with usb problems I boot from a Linux Live CD or a pen and see if the usb ports work with Linux. If yes then your Windows is corrupted somehow. If this isn't the case, then it is material.

  After that the things of upgrade (custom installation from 32 to 64 bits) of Windows 8 as the built in media controls did not work properly. So, I visited the drivers HP page and ran the scan... then chose Windows 7 64-bit (not Windows 8 it).

  More than likely HP won't to material support for W8 on any system purchased before October 1, 2011. Some updates for W8, most drivers W7 will work in W8.
  If you've always had Windows 7 installed, you can run the Upgrade Wizard software, it will scan your PC and report on what is currently installed on your PC is compatible with the W8.

  There are a total of 4 network for windows 8 64-bit drivers and I'm very confused as those which of them I actually need. Usually it's pretty easy but the descriptions seem so cryptic for dell. One of them is actually the bluetooth software when I installed it, where does it say that in the description?
  For example, ' Dell Wireless 1701 802. 11 b/g/n '&' Dell Wireless 1702 802. 11 b/g/n'. Is it for different cards? Is the number of the card model? Should I as well these drivers, or none of them?
  If anyone can help I would appreciate it a lot. Thank you.

  You can use the Vista drivers on your laptop support page.

  You must manually install the graphics driver as follows...

  Download and run this driver.  You will probably get an error not supported operating system.

  This package contains the user interface and video driver for the Intel 965 Express Chipset in the notebook models and operating systems. This pilot and the software allows users to set several properties for portable video display.

  File name: sp38946.exe

  Conclusion of any windows error.  Go to Device Manager and click to expand the display adapters category.

  Click on standard vga card.  Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.  Select her browse my computer for driver software option and find the folder of the driver that was created when you ran the file.

  This file will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp38946.  Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the driver should install.

  Restart the PC.
