Missing "run as" option of context solely on 'limited' user accounts

Like "admin", my context menu lists "run as". In my (limited) internet accounts, 'run as' does not appear in the context menu. I wouldn't be on the internet while being logged in as "admin" for security reasons. I ran Shell Menu View (NirSoft) and everything looks good for 'run as' (It is on and I have not "extended").
I looked at NirSoft FAQ, and he could not understand.    (I have Win XP pro 32 bit SP3 all updated properly.) "I have a lot of different programs on this PC I could uninstall if necessary, in the case that could cause this.)

Hello

I suggest to take a look at the article mentioned below and follow the steps mentioned in the article.

How do I activate and use the command "run as" when running programs in Windows

If this does not resolve your problem then, I suggest that you do a SFC (System File Checker) analyze and check whether the problem is resolved. See the article mentioned below.

  • Missing HD export options for file MP4 format

    Hello

I was wondering if someone could please give me some advice.

I am missing the format options higher resolution export using MP4 (see screenshot).

How can I export to 1080? Also is there anyway to change the extension to .mp4 instead of .3gp file

    Thanks in advance

    Screen Shot 2013-07-03 at 8.39.29 PM.png

The "MPEG4" Adobe format uses is for old formats video mobile phone, which are pretty useless nowadays.

You want to spend the 'Format' to 'H.264 '.  This will export one. MP4 file encoded in H.264.  There are many presets available, I would recommend starting with one of the YouTube ones specific to the resolution of the video and the pace.

  • Run as pop up appears for the user account to connect to the computer

"When I turn on my computer, a smaller screen appears on the display of windows 'Run as' breast and ask which user account you want to use to run this computer", it then lists current user with a number that is similar to mine as an administrator with a checkbox. "or below cela" the following user ' to add details. I'm afraid that someone is trying to take over my computer. I have run Norton anti virus. How to stop what appears and get rid of it. This is a major threat. Paul

    Hi Paul,

    1. what anti-virus software do you use?

2 you use the password while logging on to the user account?

I suggest you of change the logon window and the shutdown preferences in Windows XP to resolve the problem.

Setup configures Windows XP to use the friendly welcome logon screen and close buttons, if your computer is installed as a computer (a computer where a network domain has not been specified).

This article describes how you can enable the classic logon screen used by Windows XP Server that resembles the following example:

    Log on to Windows

    User name: _______
    Password: __________

To temporarily use the classic logon screen, press Ctrl + Alt + Delete twice on the Welcome logon screen.

To configure Windows XP to use the classic logon and shutdown for each logon screens, follow these steps:

    a. click Startand then click Control Panel.
    b. double-click user accounts.
    c. click on change the way users log on or off the power.
    d. Click to uncheck the use the Welcome screen check box.

Note: If you disable the Welcome logon screen, you also disable the fast user switching option.

If you want users to press CTRL + ALT + DEL before the classic logon appears like a Windows XP-based computer that is joined to a domain, follow these steps:

    a. click Start, click run, type regedit in the Open box and then click OK.
    b. click the Winlogon subkey at the following registry location:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
    c. click change, click newand then click DWORD value.
    d. to change the name of the value, type DisableCADand press ENTER.
    e. keep the data value set to 0. The set of data values appear as 0x00000000 (0).

Warning: Ask users to press CTRL + ALT + DEL before the classic logon screen appears.

If you don't want that, then come back in a classic.

Note: To do: Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. What are the causes of the log of user account on missing cursor in Windows XP? I have two trays of office that they have this same problem. If you restart them the cursor returns?

    Hi DaddyJeff,

    1. don't you make changes before the show?
    2. are you referring to the cursor in the area of user password on the login screen of Windows?
    3. when the cursor goes missing, the mouse pointer works on screen?

It is difficult to say what is causing this problem. If the mouse pointer freezes or stops working, then we recommend you to reinstall the mouse. To do this, try the following steps:
    a. sign in to Windows.
    b. Click Start, click Run, type devmgmt.msc, and then click ok.
    c. in the list of objects, expand mice and other pointing devices.
    d. right click on the sub element and click on uninstall.
    e. unplug the mouse and plug it back.
    f. the Device Manager, select an item in the list, click the Action menu, click scan for hardware changes.
    g. check if the mouse is detected, if so, then install it.

  • Cannot open options feature or power user accounts.

Story : I am running Vista Home Premium on an Acer laptop. Implementation carried out by the seller at retail in 2005. My user account allows me to act as an administrator with a command prompt. All Vista updates are installed.
Question: I can't access the user account feature to set passwords or create multiple accounts. Most of the tools in the administrative file do not open it.
What's happening: When I click on the user account function, a window fades quickly, but is never materialized. If I go to administrative tools and try to access the computer management console, I am prompted for approval from the admin, who I give, then get an error message indicating the MMC files are missing or I have no privileges.
    Help!

    Hello

Click Start and type CMD, then right click on the menu entry that appears, choose "Run as Administrator". Click on continue in the UAC prompt. From the command line, run "sfc/scannow". When you are finished, close the command window and restart the machine. See if that helps. Sign on the user account as an administrator, but cannot change the automatic updates.

Under updates important area is grayed out and cannot select to change

    Hello Bill,

Thank you for visiting Microsoft Community.

As I understood it, you experience the problem, you cannot change the automatic updates even if you are logged on as an administrator user account. The option is grayed out on the system.

    Certainly, I understand your concern.

I would suggest trying the following steps and check if that helps.

    1. Open the editor of the register of the command RUN by typing "regedit" and click OK.
    2. In the tree on the left, open following files-online HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate.
    3. Remove the automatic "Update" folder This will remove all previous settings for automatic update.
    4. Open the automatic update of the control panel and option as usual.
    5. If automatic update is always gray, type the command "gpupdate/force" RUN and click OK or restart the operating system.

Note: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. • Cisco VCS does not show the user account option

    Hi team,

We have 7.2 VCS server control, I'm not able to see the option of user account under maintenance-Login accounts. Please advise.

We don't have find me and TMS provisioing Extension service license, don't you think that's the reason.

I just started my first deployment of VCS, MCU and TMS and I must add customer movie, cisco Jabber video for Ipad and integrtaion with CUCM. CUCM has some end points of polycom and C40 and C60.

You precious advice will give me comfort during this deployment.

    Irfan

    BR

    Hello

It's probably because that VCS runs in TMS PE commissioning mode, in which FindMe is managed by the portal user in TMS, meaning there is no need to set up the maintenance > logins on the VCS.

Edit: You added information that you do not have the keys option Device Provisioning and FindMe. Because user names relate directly to FindMe, the absence of an option key FindMe would explain also unable to see maintenance > login accounts > user accounts.

  • Why aren't one of my user accounts or 'start' option appears there?

On my HP laptop, which is managed by windows 7, does not show my user accounts, or the button 'start '. I can't access anything on my laptop and it still shows the bottom of the laptop for my user account options screen, but it loads up after 2-3 minutes.

Have you tried pressing the Windows key?  This is the one to the left of the SPACEBAR between the CTRL and ALT keys  If this does not work, you should try the safe boot and checking the virus.  Get your updated antivirus program and boot into Safe Mode.  Note that some viruses can hide from your normal antivirus program, so you really need to scan mode without failure.  To enter in Safe Mode when you turn on first, press F8 on every seconds until you get the menu, and then select Safe Mode.  Then run a complete system scan.

    Good luck.

  • Which user account you want to use to run this program?

That fairly recently, when I click to start Firefox, and just before it actually opens, I has the following screen:

"Which user account do you want to use to run this program?

I did some internet research and it seems as if many people have encountered this same problem.

What is the cause, is it dangerous for my computer, and how can I get rid of this message?

Make sure that Firefox is not set to run as administrator.

Right click on the desktop Firefox shortcut and choose "Properties".

Make sure that all items are disabled in the tab "Compatibility" in the Properties window.

    • Privilege level: "Run this program as Administrator" should not be selected
    • "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" must not be selected

Also check the firefox.exe program properties in the program Firefox (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\) folder.
