Missing the "private browsing" button on the tab page there is no button "incognito" to the left of the button «+» iPhone 5, iOS 8.4, Firefox 1.2 (1206).

Hello
I have this problem since Firefox 1.1 for iOS. I've updated to version 1.2 (1206) but the problem persists.
When I press the button "tabs count" on the upper right corner, the tabs preview screen with '+' button on the top right corner but THERE IS NOT button "incognito" on his left (it is only black box empty, do you need a screenshot?). Is this a bug or private browsing is not available yet for iOS?
If the private browsing feature is implemented, how can I activate it?
Thanks in advance!
I hope that Firefox will become my favorite browser on iOS too! Keep up the good work!

EDIT: misspelling.

Hi spas123, thanks for your kind comments - as far as I know, the private in firefox navigation feature works only on devices with ios9...

  • Help-when I am in private browsing, Firefox automatically jump to navigation non-private, even when I read just news.

I like to read news articles, search on the internet and check my email in private browsing mode. From a few months, about 95% of the time (1 to 5 minutes by running Firefox), it will automatically switch to the window non-private. When I go back to private browsing window, it is generally from there. This does not happen a lot when I'm on AT & TYahoo mail. It happens more often when I'm reading the news or you're looking for something on the internet. I get automatic updates of Firefox. My copy of Firefox is somehow corrupted? How can I fix this very annoying problem? Thank you.

Note that this can be caused by tabs in the private sector window using the plugin-container with the Flash plugin.

You can in history history/bookmarks library entry remove either single, multiple entries or the entire folders. There are also menu options to erase history etc. See

  • Missing a mode for private browsing for web sites focused on the session

    Hello

The 'New private window' function is certainly more practical in many situations, but unfortunately it does not cover the following cases: when you do online banking, the session must be initiated by an external application on a USB stick ("AccessKey UBS"). The connection banking screen opens in the browser by default (Firefox of course!), but unfortunately, it appears in the main (non-private) Firefox window and its impossible to copy or move the link to the private window. Apparently the external application establishes a connection to the main window, which cannot be moved or restarted in the private window.

For this reason, I really enjoyed the old Firefox's private browsing mode that was not available in any other browser. And the fact that no other public navigation window was visible at the same time gave a better sense of security (I don't know if this impression was justified, however).

    Jarle-

Maybe you can use this extension to change the tab of a tab in private browsing.

Future versions of Firefox will support Private Browsing tab, it is already available in the extension.

  • Re-uploaded because there was no access to the web, and it is not yet. Opens in private browsing, no Firefox tab is visible, so I can't do anything.

I don't remember having chosen Private Browsing until I deleted Firefox on my computer. After you download from the Web site, the same screen appears. It does not resemble the Web site displays. I have a screenshot, but don't see a way to fix it here.
The top line is blue background of Windows and said "Start Mozilla Firefox - Mozilla Firefox (private browsing) Page".
Lower than that of the context Tan the usual File, Edit, View etc.
Lower than a tab with: the image of Fox and the "Mozilla Firefox Start Page.
Thaat below: arrow, arrow, box "go to a Web site", and arrears on the right a blue g and a tab drop down to search engines, down for downloads and the symbol of the House.
bottom line usual Google that shows that my most used bookmarks
The large area below that contains the symbol of the Fox in the Center above the search box (which does not). In the upper right corner is "mozilla" gray type.
Crossing the lower part is a clear grey banner with "downloads, Favorites, history, modules, sync and Settings" with their symbols above.
I had to remove PC Matic Supershield to get the download to work at all, and now after hours of tests, I am right where I started.

Make sure that you are not Firefox running in (permanent) private browsing mode.

    • Tools > Options > privacy > Firefox will be: "use the custom settings for history".

One possible cause is security software (firewall, antivirus) that prevents or limits Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

  • How to install a foxit button in my toolbar? I've recently upgraded to the latest version, but my toolbar does not contain a firefox button that is necessary for certain tasks, such as the private browsing.

I had an existing laters 3 point what Firefox and recently upgraded version upgraded to Firefox 10. This new version has still the old toolbar at the top, but there is no button "Firefox" that one has to use to activate certain actions such as "private browsing". Is there anyway I can install the button in the toolbar, or is it possible to change to the new interface of version 10 which includes the Firefox Button. I prefer the old (the old configuration with the toolbar on top, but if that can't do, how to migrate to the new configuration that apparently puts the tools on the side, if I'm not mistaken.
Thanks for any help you can provide. I have Windows XP.

If you have the toolbar to the former, you can always go to private browsing by clicking on tools, then on 'Start private browsing'. All located in the Firefox button options in the old-style toolbar, just maybe a little more hidden.

To activate you button Firefox, go to view, then toolbars, then uncheck "menu bar". You should have the Firefox button.

I think that the warning is there to remind you that this private browsing mode has significant limitations. While Firefox destroyed the history of your private browsing session, you send requests to your computer on a network, and there are devices along the way that can record what you're doing. If you are at home, it's your ISP routers routers and other security devices on the path of the web server, you have access and any monitoring software on your PC itself. It is unlikely that someone seeks precisely to your use, but sometimes telecommunications companies are required to deliver large segments of data for national security or criminal investigations. And, of course, it is piracy...
