Miss me the button show desktop, after that I had run Uniblue registry on my computer. How can I get that back, I tried the option to restore to uniblue, but it did not work
Never use cleaners registry/Boosters.
Try a system restore to a Date before the problem began:
Restore point:

Do the restore of the system in Safe Mode, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.
Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.
Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...
Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

Quick Launch toolbar in Windows Vista makes Me crazy!
The Vista Quick Launch toolbar seems to have a mind of your own. First, there is the part of the taskbar where the quick launch icons appear. Secondly and apparently in itself, sometimes I have a second "taskbar" separate from the main. It is a customizable, floating 'to-do bar' which will sometimes disappear, then come back from nowhere share. I'm so frustrated because I often use this second 'taskbar'. I find it very convenient because I can resize and customize it as I want. The problem is I don't know even how it got there, or why he disappears sometimes, and then, also without warning, all the icons will also disappear. Where this secondary "taskbar" is, how it works, and why the quick launch icons, I put here change order and/or disappear, sometimes simply restarting the machine. I spend a lot of time trying to get it back, but can't understand how it works. In addition, on the primary 'taskbar' that contains the Start button, the notification icons are not always available. In particular, the Volume and network icons become grey and unselectable when I go to properties. Anyone can help to explain this strange behavior and whence this second 'to-do bar '? Thank you!
Thanks for the response and feedback. I am happy to know that you have taken by the suggestion to create a folder icon to restore more easily.
Unfortunately, the problem of notification icon is widely known and I have seen no response that even come close to being reasonable (or is downright wrong, misleading or dangerous). I think it's just a random glitch in the system that we must learn to live with.
I'm sorry, that you do not find the toolbar that you liked. If you remember the features on what you have liked to have available, you can create your own toolbar and include these features and all the others that you would like to have. Here's how: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/73583-taskbar-toolbars.html.
I hope this helps.
Good luck!

How can I move the 'show desktop' button on the taskbar?

Hello
The new button show desktop can not be moved.
You can still use the old button display the style Office and place it next to the Start button. The best way to implement this is to restore the old Quick Launch toolbar.
See the thread next where you will find the instructions to achieve this.
Let us know if you need more information.
Thank you for using Windows 7

How to add buttons to the Quick Launch toolbar
I can't find the buttons for the "switch between windows" Flip 3D previews and the 'show desk top' on the Quick Launch toolbar. They used to be there. Where can I find them so I can put them on the quick launch area? I have Vista Home Premium.
Try this:
1. click on start
2. in the search field, type the following (you can copy and paste for accuracy):
%SystemDrive%\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch
3. Windows Explorer should open the phonebook.
4. you should now see the missing shortcuts in the left pane.
5. left click shortcuts and drag them one at a time to the Quick Launch bar. If you want to reposition shortcuts, just left click and drag them to the position. -
Lack the "Switch between Windows" button in my Quick Launch toolbar
From: Daz 150969
I don't have the button tab in the taskbar in order to operate the Aero of the computer part. My card under windows is 5.9. I can run aero if one press tab, ctrl and windows key and it work very well, but I think that there should be a button on the tab in the taskbar?
From: Andrew McLaren
The "Switch between Windows" button in the toolbar quick launch is enabled by a file called "Window Switcher.lnk" in your Quick Launch folder. If this file is missing, the icon does not appear in the Quick Launch toolbar.
You are probably missing this file and need to replace it.
You can get a copy of the original file here:
"C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\Window Switcher.lnk"
This place is normally hidden in Explorer (you won't see it).
To put it on your own toolbar quick launch, go to a command prompt and enter these commands (replace "
" with your real username, of course! :-) - C:\>CD C:\Users\
\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch C:\Users\
launch \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick > copy "C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\Window Switcher.lnk. You should see a "1 file (s) copied" message when the file is copied successfully. Then type "exit" to exit the command prompt.
The "Switch between Windows" icon now needs re - appear in your quick launch menu.
It will be useful,

lost the "switch between windows" button on the Quick Launch toolbar
Hi, I lost the "switch between windows" button of the toolbar quick launch, how can I restore it?
- You have problems with programs
- Error messages
- Recent changes to your computer
- What you have already tried to solve the problem
Dasepo salvation,
Here are the instructions for the program shortcut "switch between windows" returned the fell on the Quick Launch toolbar:
First of all, make sure you that you must show hidden files and folders active. Here's how:
Go to: Start/Control Panel folder Options/configuration and select the 'view' tab select "Show hidden folders and files under the section files and folders hidden from advanced settings".
Then you can get the file from quicklaunch default section. This location of file is here:
C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch
You can paste this link into the search bar (Ctrl-Esc). When you get to this place, you will find the 'switch between client.lnk' which you can then drag directly to the Windows Orb and it going bust in the Quick Launch bar.
Hope this helps,

I have a user limited access to work where the right-click and access more common is forbidden by the administrator of the computer. Can I show the Quick Launch toolbar without using the right click on the bar of tasks and without the help of the control panel.
At the same time, the shortcut for show desktop is also prohibited (windows logo + D)
Hello
After some reflections more and a little research, you can try this...
- Click Start
- Click on run
- Paste it into the Open box: %SystemRoot%\System32\rundll32.exe shell32.dll, Options_RunDLL 1
- Click OK
- This should run the bar spots and the properties of the Start Menu
- Check the box "Show Quick Launch.
- Click OK
However, you may find that you are locked out of the race and taskbar and properties of the Menu start too!
If you can start the task (ctrl-alt-del) Manager, you can try the same thing in the drop-file for the new task. Or even try the same from a command prompt (start - all programs-accessories).

A toolbar disappears from the taskbar. (Quick Launch toolbar)
In windows 7 Home Edition premium, I have a frustrating bug. I tried to use the functionality of the toolbar to add to the taskbar and by doing so the addition of a quick launch Search menu that him. Sticky icons do not have a solution for me, so I need a quick launch as a toolbar to work.
Do work was pretty easy, I just added the folder used for the quick launch shortcuts, I wanted to use. My problem is that every once in a while, when I turn on the computer, or when I restart it or even after disconnection and return newspaper, the toolbar, I added disappeared completely.
Solutions I tried to solve this problem:
(1) setting the registry values for windows save my settings at each reboot of the/log - off /sleep/shut-down etc.
(2) save the theme after I have reset the toolbar and use it as my default.
(3), to try to create a new user profile and move everything that I need to work on this new username and you try to install the Quick Launch toolbar again.
(4) lock the taskbar after the addition of the Quick Launch toolbar.
(5) remove the toolbars that could be clashes with the quick as the language bar launch (although I greatly need it for my work).
None of these attempts at fixing worked , restart every second or almost everytime I sit down to work on my computer the same thing happens. Quick Launch disappears.
W7 dear experts, I'm a fan of windows 7 and I like much more than XP or Vista, but two of them cost me much less expensive and had a simple feature to do me my job efficiently. the Quick Launch bar. I can't have 40 icons spread allover deliver to my office, so it's a very frustrating for me. Help, please.
Oh and a friend of mine half jokingly suggested this could be a feature to discourage people from using a win7 Quick Launch toolbar, if it is the case let me know as soon as POSSIBLE so that I can go back to XP before I lose more time on this issue.
Waiting for good news :) Philip.

Cannot resize the Quick Launch toolbar.
I searched for an answer to my problem all morning and everybody repeat how the new quick launch taskbar is too restrictive and it only lets you see three icons at the same time. Well, I have the opposite problem. Every, single icon than me or my wife adds to the Quick Launch toolbar is always visible and I don't have any of the sizing handles on it to allow me to resize it. I unlocked the taskbar and everything. It is really annoying because I want my important shortcuts in the quick launch, but I also want to be able to actually USE my taskbar. If I continue to put icons on the quick launch, it will extend to all the way to my system tray and those who don't adapt are simply not available. Can someone help me?
Yes, because Windows 7 uses more a Quick Launch toolbar, so no "resize handles' I thought you may be interested in other options of the task bar to help keep the taskbar clear of both directions
(right side now known as Notification area).
May not be the answer you are looking for, but it's one of a number of "it's not broken, but we
will remedy "monopoly issues $ oft unleashed in Win7"
(one other 'Favorites' - taking away the option to disable the auto organize into folders). The only other option is the "always on"the cartel", etc. in the properties of the taskbar, but it combines only
reduced apps / browsers.Hmm - speaking of "resize handles. I just noticed that when the desktop is enabled (unlocked taskbar)
the "sizing handles" reappear, but unfortunately work the wrong way autour if you want a clear
Taskbar to display minimized applications or browsers.
You can pull the handle from right to left and push apps/browsers minimized in the "quick launch" area on a up/down selection arrow. Not very practical is that?
Good for those who want to keep their desktop icons displayed on the task bar, I guess? The window help-
"The Quick Launch bar is not included in this version of Windows. To quickly open programs, you can pin them to the taskbar. For more information, see Pin a program to the bar spots.

Add to the Quick Launch toolbar
I have my Excel in the Quick Launch toolbar. I would add an Excel file to the Quick Launch bar. It is possible and if so how?
Yes you can. Right-click on an empty area of the desktop and create a shortcut to your file. Then, drag the shortcut and drop it to the taskbar. When you are asked if you want to pin to the taskbar, answer Yes. It's the equivalent of Windows 7 which allows us to call for the Quick Launch toolbar.
Good luck.

The problem occurred a few days after that I added an SSD on my PC. I had not changed any software on the XP HDD.
Yes, I ran full antivirus and malware scans with a negative result.
I finally solved the problem by running Uniblue System Tweaker.
