Missing under mailbox on a new Mac.

I recently got a new macbook pro (early 2015) with El Capitan.

Once I logged in iCloud on that, I realized all my mailbox folders were there, except a custom I did there on my old mac.

I am connected at all, so I wonder why this subfolder (sub archive) does not appear?

Hello H_Miri,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support and congratulations on your new MacBook Pro! It's very exciting to get a new computer.

I see that you access iCloud, but you are missing a file box custom mailbox that you made on your old Mac. Of course, I don't understand how it is important that you have all your e-mail folders. I want to assure you that you can get that back.

First of all, you can try to restore this folder on your Mac, if you have a Time Machine backup. Please see use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac, more specifically, this section:

Restore from a Time Machine backup

Restore specific files:

  1. Enter in Time Machine, choose the Time Machine menu , or click on the Time Machine in the Dock.
  2. Find files to restore:
    • Use the timeline on the edge of the screen to see your Time Machine backup files, as they were at this date and time. The timeline may also include a snapshots the.
    • Use of the screen and down arrows to reach the last time the content of the window changes. You can also use the search field in a window to find a file and then move through time, well that centered on the changes to this file.
    • Select a file, then press the SPACEBAR to preview the file and make sure it is the one you want.
  3. Click on restore to restore the selected file, or Ctrl-click the file for other options.

Restore everything:

  • To restore everything in your backup Time Machine, use OS X Recovery.
  • To copy the files, settings and user accounts for OS X in your backup on another Mac, use The Migration Wizard.

Have a wonderful day!

Yes on old LR open Mac, go to the file menu and hover over the recent entry opening. The name of the catalog that is currently open will be at the top of the list or the only entry in this list and a check mark next to it.

This is the command key, not the control key for a Mac that you use on the layer.

Here's how to convert the Permanent Trail:

By receiving the expired Trial/test screen

    Make sure you are online

    Click on software under license

The perpetual owners: connect with the adobe ID and enter the serial number of the product

After migrating to a new Mac Pro Dreamweaver CS6 launch. It is said that missing menus.xml file. How to solve this?

    Hi rustyg12,

    Go to/Applications/Adobe Dreamweaver CS6/Configuration/Menus/menus.bak

You will see a menus.xml file here - it is a backup copy of the actual menus.xml file that uses DW.

Copy it from this folder, paste 1 level above (in the file menu).

Launch DW. See if it works.

  • Missing originals after copying photos for a new mac external HARD disk library. How to fix this?

Move the library of photos hosted on an external HARD during a new mac disc.

I can open the app and import new pictures, but I can't change any of my previous photos because he complains that the original is not found. The "Use as system library" button is gray which implies that the current library of photos on the new mac is defined as the system library.

I still have access to the external HARD drive that I imported a couple hundred new photos for the new mac.

    How can I fix?

How did you set up your library.  You use a library "referenced"?

If Yes, then you have lost the links with the original files.

You have the iCloud library enabled in the preferences of the iCloud photo Panel?

  • New Mac GarageBand

    Hello

I recently bought a new Macbook Pro that came with a full version of Garageband. However, I restored a backup of my old Mac to the new and now the new version of Garageband is missing and replaced with my old version. I tried to update on the app store, but it says I have to pay for it. Is there a way to get the new version without paying?

    Thank you!

If you register in the Mac App Store with the same Apple ID, you used to install the new Mac, you should be able to go to the section of the Mac App Store purchases and download GB or it should be listed as an update under the section updated

    Hello

Is it possible to clone my iMac running 10.5 on a new Mac mini. I use the program SuperDuper to clone the iMac and want to clone on a Mac mini, for space-saving reasons. Must be 10.5 on it to use it as a print sever AppleTalk.

Thanks for any thoughts on this topic.

Cannot run the 2014 under the that it has been delivered with which is 10.10. Earlier versions do not have the necessary drivers.

  • Firefox does not open on a new Mac OS - profile cannot be found

I got a new Mac and have not been able to open FF. I just got this message: "unable to load your firefox profile. It may be missing or inaccessible.

I followed all the advice available. I have no profile manager. I have no folder in my library, utilities, Applications or users with a profile.ini I can't find folders or documents anywhere with Firefox or Mozilla other than the app itself... which does not open.

I deleted Firefox to my computer entirely, reinstalled, rebooted the computer - everything. I always get this message.

    Would appreciate some advice.

It is clear that there is a problem with the permissions, then you will need to check and possibly fix corrupted files permissions to the location where the main Firefox profile folder and where are stored the file cache.

    • < User > /users//Library/Application Support / Firefox/Profiles/< profile >.
    • /Users/ < user >/Library/Caches / Firefox/Profiles/< profile > / Cache

No, there is no need to turn it off. The software is associated with your Apple ID, and you can use in all the Macs you personally own and control.

You can directly download the application on the new mac. Go to the App Store, newspaper under the same ID Apple to buy, click on purchases with.

  • Resonance noise coming from new Mac Pro

    Hi all!

I picked up recently a late 2013 6 mac pro core. I once owned a mac Mini 4 core i7 model quiet whisper. I hooked all my cables similarly to the way I had with my mac Mini. Now the question is, when im downloading with download accelerator or transfer files in both feel between my server, I can hear sound coming from my new Mac Pro resonance frequency. This only happens when im connected by ethernet. If I disable ethernet and use wifi, this noise is more audible! Is this a common problem! My new Mac Pro would already have problems!

    Thanks in advance

    -Anthony-

RE: noises reported in Mac Pro end 2013.

There was an initial report of a noise called "Reel whining", launched by the power under certain conditions.

Those who could demonstrate the problem got their power supplies replaced under warranty.

Of course, those who have done nothing and waited for the next version of the software solve the problem have nothing except maybe a headache.

If this is a NEW Mac Pro, back at the origin of the seller ASAP. If you purchased at Apple in the United States, you can get the unit replaced with 14 days of receipt - the Genius Bar or you local Apple authorized service provider.

If others, it becomes a problem to repair.

  • Transfer the Aperture/Photo library to new Mac: how to manage the referenced pictures

Here's the scoop.  I was a long-time user of Aperture with half of my pictures handled as pictures referenced to an external drive.  Photos, as I understand it, also sees the photos as mentioned.

I then acquired a new iMac and want to now all of my photos to reside on his hard drive and I'll give up on opening.

So, if I transfer the Photos library file to the new computer, how can I get these files referenced on the new computer?

Do you want the photos to be referenced or you want to group as managed in the Photos?

If you want to keep the referenced pictures, use Aperture on your old mac to move files referenced in a folder on the new Mac, before opening the Aperture Photo library to convert it to a library of Photos.

If you are satisfied with transforming the library to a library of the crib, you can use pictures after the migration the photo library to build the library.

Pictures has the command "file > consolidate" to move the intone library pictures and make managed, it has few tools to fix the referenced files broken, but it can not move the referenced files. No matter what move you want to do, do it in Aperture, while your library is still an Aperture library.

Opening 3.6.is still work under MacOS X 10.10.3.
