• Black screen when you try to play a video rental

  HI all, I rented a movie from iTunes and I got everything updated iTunes and OsX but whenever I'm trying to play the screen is all black and the movie will not play. I can see screen grab when I go to the chapters, but could not get anything to play. I tried for authorizing and reauthorizing my computer - I have a MacBook Air 11 '' end 2013.

  Same question.  I recently bought a new MacBook Pro & today is the first time I tried to watch a movie in iTunes.  Purchased or rented movies will play.  I, too, only have a black screen with only the controls (rewind, pause, reading, etc) visible.  No chapters listed, just the cover of the movie at the top + names of administrators.  Was on the phone with Apple Care for 2 hours and they could not understand.

  When the Senior Adviser, I was speaking with iTunes contacted for credit, told him they were aware of the problem and working on it.  He said that there is a problem with some Macs, but not other Apple devices.

  Strange that iTunes would have not contacted Apple Care technical support to let them know about the issue.  Also, before I spoke with the Chief Adviser, I was talking with someone else to Apple Care, who had also made contact with iTunes to try to resolve the problem by return the video rental for me and it has not been said on the issue.

  It was about 3 hours ago.

  Advise senior said that she would send me a mail with my # case and contact information so I could follow, but she didn't.  She took my phone #, so if all goes well, she will call to let me know when the problem is solved (not holding my breath however).

• Where can I find my missing video controller drivers

  Hi I reinstalled Windows XP Home Edition for a friend on a laptop Samsung NP-R40K008SUK , after someone else messed up the machine. I managed to reinstall all drivers, but the Device Manager indicates that he needs a driver for video controller (VGA Compatible). I was not able to find it. ATI site does not carry the drivers for theRadeon Xpress 200 m graphics Card any more, but I have downloaded & installed a Catalyst Legacy driver. Can anyone help? It makes me crazy. Any advice appreciated, thanks.

  I can see my pictures and videos on the camera, but when I import it onto the computer videos are missing - what can anyone give me advice as its makes me nuts looking for a reason thanks

  Just a guess... maybe the videos are not loading.

  Something to try...

  Connect the device to your PC via a USB cable and turn
  on the camera... If open windows... Close them.

  According to... to... Start / my computer... the camera can be
  listed as a drive letter...

  If_yes_right click on the drive letter and select... Explorer or
  Open... This should display the directory of the memory card.
  You can copy and paste or drag and drop the files from there to a
  folder on your hard drive.

  (The same steps work if you have a media player...
  When you go to... Start / desktop media slots...
  Drive should be listed under... "Removable disk" with a drive
  letter.)

• Win 7 - missing video files to Mpeg, WMV and FLV thumbnails

  The thumbnails are missing from video files (MPEG, WMV and FLV).   It seems that the problems started after
  installation, update the codec K-Lite and Windows 7 packs. There are a few videos that show a thumbnail, but they appear more

  Because no one at Microsoft Answers has seen fit to answer my question, my research has the answer. I have a Win 7 (64-bit) machine. I did the
  bad choice for download 32-bit codecs packs and install them, as well as 64-bit codec packs. They were supposed to be compatible. They obviously
  are not.  I uninstalled all the 32-bit codecs and reinstalled the latest K-lite 64-bit codec pack only. During the installation, you have the choice to choose what movie file
  associations (mpeg, wmv, etc.) should appear with thumbnails. After installation, I opened various movie files and thumbnails began to appear in
  place video logos!  Pay attention to the which codecs to install. Versions of the 32-bit codec not did me not select movie thumbnails with file associations.

  Why is there no response from Microsoft? Is anyone awake?

• Missing video thumbnails

  My video thumbnails disappeared earlier, and I just found out that its more than likely of me accidentally delete the Shmedia.dll another uninstall program. Is there anywhere I can reaquire this file and my thumb nails may work again correctly? Thank you in advance for your help!

  a. are miniature previews of videos missing from Explorer or the Windows Media Player/Windows Media Center Library?

  If the problem occurs only after the accidental deletion of the file Shmedia.dll , re - register the dll file and check if this solves the problem.
   
  To re-record the shmedia.dll file, follow these steps:
   
  1. click on Start, type cmd, right click and select run as administrator.
  2. use the following command to install the shmedia.dll file:
   
  regsvr32 shmedia.dll
   
  Re-install the file shmedia.dll resolves miniature issues with video files?

• Video rental

  Why is the rental period 14 days only when all other similar services allow 30 days first watch a video?  I'm heading to Europe for the holidays and the limited time will cause leave me my Surface tablet at home because I won't spend my vacation trying to find an Internet connection, so I can download a video for my return flight.  I think that if you want to offer you the service you could at least have a competitive model.  I don't see the advantage of renting videos on your part. I travel a lot for business and I regularly content of rent to watch on the road. However, I'm not going to camp on my Tablet just so I can just right time to be content to watch. 30 days is reasonable.

  You're right, the rental period is 14 days. You can use the return option in the application of film to submit your proposal to extend the rental period. See the steps below:

  1. Open the video application
  2. Press the Windows key + C
  3. Select settings
  4. Select your comments
  5. Select your option of feedback and add your suggestion in the text field
  6. Select submit

• What offline media means and how can I recover the missing video?

  I have a video that I've been working on for some time. A section of the video says Media Offline when I played it back (on the same computer). As I did not move the file to another computer, and it's not an export, I'm not sure of what has past. Assuming that it is a 'broken' link, how can I recover it?

  Hello

  I do drag and drop the mp4 files to the movie source pane tab (it shows that the files have been added) then I synchronize and eject the device. But when I go to the video app on my iPad videos are gone and they are not displayed in its use and storage either.

  I understand that you are unable to add MPEG-4 files on your iPad Pro.  I need a little clarification on how you import the file into iTunes to eventually provide a better answer.  However, make sure that you import the file to iTunes via the steps below.  Once done please try a manual synchronization of this medium instead of a drag and drop.

  I replaced the hard drive on my emachine T2842.  Windows loaded no problem but I can't monitor all work properly.  It lacks the multimedia audio controller and video controllers.

• When you try to download videos on the web, open the appropriate folder on the computer for video rentals, the list of videos is incomplete. Why some are recognized and others not?

  It was working fine before.  I thought that the videos are in the same format, however, the 2 videos that are available (I didn't know this before) were put on Youtube and others were not.  I think that there is a kind of publication that is not made for the remaining videos so the format might be different.
  Also there is no "All files" just a list of all types of file in the menu dropdown.  I'll look in to the additional formatting.
