• What would prevent Thunderbird to recreate the deleted files *.msf?

  Had to create a new profile & copy in a bunch of accounts. Everything worked OK except one.

  1, an acct lacked in Tbird. Finally I've recreated the acct, but it captures not all old emails, finding themselves in the new profile under the acct folder (is not yet).

  All other accts work. I deleted for this account *.msf files and rebooted. Still not a pick up old email, but did recover new msgs (arrival after that the new profile has been created).

  Then, when I got the 1 TB re - start, I was sure that all messages were display. A few minutes later, that I would look & they were all gone an Acct - except most recent messages. Huh? I drank a cup of coffee.

  Finally saw that TB was not yet re - create the msf files, so it never keeps messages it displays (I guess - they keep "disappear").

• Stupid mistake with Bundle by name

  I recently spent too much time to research an error in the code "that used to work.  So I asked a student to look over my shoulder while I explained what was supposed to happen.  The bug is illustrated in this code snippet:

  

  I do a simple package by name, using a predefined TypeDef to define the cluster.  What I expected to get are indicated on the left, and I have actually is shown to the right.  The code looks the same, but the result is very different!

  My student asked innocently if I saw, in fact, the default value of my TypeDef (answer - Yes).  He then asked if I had connected the TypeDef to the terminal of output "by mistake."  This turns out to be almost right - what I did was to wire the flag, not the Terminal output, but by mistake, to the input Terminal.

  Note the two beige rectangles on the right edge of the boot by name.  The rightmost output, the more to the left is the entrance (this is where the wire to TypeDef comes in).  What I carelessly did was drag a wire from the indicator "far enough" to establish a connection, but, in fact, I dragged too far for that its entry into the entry box.  Here's big plans to correct and bad sons with highlight - it is not easy to see, but the highlighting on the wrong wire extends into the beige rectangle to the left.  If you bring your pointer in very carefully at the junction, you can sometimes see a point of strain on the edge of the function of the bundle, but I couldn't catch him.

     

  Needless to say that this behavior, the ability to 'evil' a bundle by name function wire, was quite unexpected (by me)-I spent most of my time, suspecting of subtle errors in my code and logic, not the errors of cabling!

  You can bet I checked the other places where the beam by a name appears in my code.  I'm posting here in the hope that others do not fall into the same trap.

  Sorry to beat a dead horse, but I wanted some close this topic and comment on some of the useful responses.  A revised version of the extract is also included below.

  • Oligarlicky and tst are correct - I must have inadvertently 'fixed' the original extract before posting, as the code snippet below show fact error (I tested this time!).
  
  
  • TST is also correct that having the Option "Enable automatic wire routing" is enabled (the default behavior) would prevent this problem, with the result the obviously involuntary wireframe diagram of Test 3.  I always disable this Option when I am configuring LabVIEW, I like to control the placement of wire.

  Follow the steps below and check if that helps.

  (a) press the Windows key + X, select Control Panel.

  (b) click on "NETWORK and INTERNET".

  (c) click on "NETWORK and SHARING CENTER" and click on "change adapter settings".

  (d) ensure that your original Internet connection sharing its connection to connect to the wireless network with 2 "

  (e) then go to tab 'sharing', then click on the box "allow other users of the network to connect through this computer's internet connection".

  (f) then choose 'Wireless Network Connection 2'. Then click on 'OK '.

  (g) that he invites "since this connection is currently active, some settings will not take effect until the next time you dial the number" then, simply dial again.

  (b) and then type the following text:

  Originals of pictures of your current iCloud photo library will be downloaded into the unit, if you do not use 'optimize storage '.  Disable this option only on your iPhone If you have enough of free storage on the iPhone for the complete iCloud photo library on your device.

  If you click on 'Restore the standard fonts', fonts that are not included in the OS X systems is placed in a "fonts folder (deleted) next to the fonts folder.

  UH ok, I just looked in Thunderbird and it does not offer an option to delete or the delete key does nothing.

  1. Close Thunderbird
  2. Remove models and Templates.msf files in the subfolder right through your file manager
  3. Go to the website of your access provider, connect to their webmail and delete the folder models too.

  Now you can restart Thunderbird and there will be no more folder models .

  But there is nothing don't recreate you through the same kind of accident that made this one. And I don't really understand your concern. • Where are the location of metadata stored in pictures taken with an iOS device?

  I just follow me back from a trip with a lot of pictures taken with a couple of the iPhone as a digital camera.  Pictures taken with the iOS for most devices have locations associated with them, as evidenced by the dialog box 'Get Info' in Photos for Mac. They show well on a card and are correctly associated with keywords of the location (for example, "Sierra National Forest, northeast of Fresno County, United States of America"). But I can't know where the coordinates are stored. There is nowhere to search Photos for Mac that will give me the real coordinates. Also open images in preview does not display a GPS tab in the 'Détails' box how will be my camera equipped with GPS. And finally the search all metadata in Photoshop or Adobe Bridge also will not show all the details or any other type of geographic information.  I just checked my old version of iPhoto (9.6.1) and she won't show also all location information.

  Photos for Mac will display basic information, but I can't find where this happens. Any ideas?

  If you don't see any GPS information in the Inspector of Preview window, you are probably stripping while dragging or by exporting to office. Try dragging the image from Photos while pressing the Option key.

• Container of notes in iCloud drive deleted by mistake

  After many sync problems with Notes, I decided to start from scratch. I backed up all the notes on my Mac, disconnected all iCloud drive and then removed from the Notes container in stock to manage devices. It was clearly a mistake - I realize now I should have deleted the data inside of the container. Initially, I imagined that when I went on iCloud sync on one of the devices (Mac, for example) the container should be recreated automatically. Of course, it was not. Mac and iPhone are both showing some iCloud Notes - I entered the data from different test on both devices - and sync turns ball is encouraging. But no synchronization takes place and no container in managing storage.

  I checked Time Machine to see if I could find the container but the contents of the iCloud drive seems to not be recorded (unless I'm missing something or do not wait long enough).

  So I need to recreate the container, if possible. Is it possible to do it without having to reinstall OS 10.11.6?

  I'm not sure I know what notes, your average container. I have no record of notes in iCloud drive or system preferences > iCloud > manage, I don't see where else you would mean that if you were opening the hidden locations.
