    Hello world

I have a problem when creating a sdo_geometry with many surfaces and encountered the problem that: ORA-00939: too many arguments for function 00939. 00000 - "too many arguments for the function.

To be more precise, in our work, we will generate some points to form a solid or a multi-surface as a form of query to run SDO_ANYINTERACTION. However, there are a lot of affected areas. I used the following function, where the number of surface is 20, it works fine. When I use 30 or 60 with matching sdo_elem_info_array and sdo_ordinate_array surfaces, it would not work with the above error.

Right now, we use the Oracle 11 g release 1
Anyone know if there is any restriction specifying surfaces how we can have in the SDO_ELEM_INFO_ARRAY, or something else. Thanks in advance.

I just tested, the total number allowed is 27 surfaces in the SDO_ELEM_INFO_ARRAY and the SDO_ORDINATES. Thank you

    Hi, -.
Links see the link for an insert for example.
Your case will be similar to the following:

    SQL> set serveroutput on
    SQL> declare

  • HTTP 400 Bad Request

    Hi all

I am against a show-stopper. I have a simple region (lets call it the "region of quote") query SQL that returns the rows in a table that I need tp will update. Sometimes, the query will return a large number of lines, depending on the size of the quote to the customer. My problem is when the quote is large (around 200 lines) and I make an update I get HTTP 400 Bad request "the Web page could not be found", the URL says something about 7779/pls/apex/wwv_flow.accept.

The update is simple, it takes the values that a user enters in a different region and a mass updates lines in the region of quote. The lines in the quote region that are updated are determined by the user selecting them in a shuttle with the shuttle return the line_id. For small quotes and quotations even with lines reaching up to 195 all works fine but I need this to work for the big ratings! Anyone know what is happening here?

When you submit a page there is some limit the page size (I think 32 k) after that it raises HTTP 400. We were also facing the same problem in our large tabular form. You can use Pagination to limit the rows displayed in a page to avoid this error.
But when the use of paging, you will face another question. Let's say you have 100 lines and paging shows only 10 lines. If update you some rows and press the navigation button (next/previous) changes are lost and unsaved. I also have a work around for this if you are interested please let me know. I'll post you if you need.

  • How to see which parameters are passed to wwv_flow.accept?

    Hello everyone,

After submiting a page I get this error:

"The requested URL /pls/apex/wwv_flow.accept was not found on this server."

I placed a few inserts inside my page process to check and found out the process isn't even running.

This post seems to have some similarities with what is happening to me:

    doSubmit in javascript

But all the elements that I need to change are changed with javascript in the page, after submiting, they get the new values.

What is strange, is that it works correctly in firefox and google chrome browser, but it is political society that all aplications work in internet explore and in internet explorer, it does not.

So I would like to know how to see what happened to wwv_flow.accept so I can throw this option?

    Cordially Pedro

    Igor:

These are the elements of the checkbox named "empresas" that are the problem.
Change the name to 'f01' and the page should get treated fine. I'm at a loss to understand why this page fails then use no et seq., have been one of the "checked" boxes when you have tested with FF?

When I navigate to http://{host:port}/pls/apex/apex_admin to create a workspace, I get an HTTP 404 error.

    In the Apache log, I get: [Thu Aug 27 13:16:39 2009] [error] [client #] [ecid: #] mod_plsql: / pls/apex/apex_admin HTTP-404 \napex_admin: PROCEDURE is not EXIST\n

There is a public synonym APEX_ADMIN, but this points to APEX_030200.APEX_ADMIN, which does not exist. Should APEX_030200 have a private synonym called APEX_ADMIN?

    I ran apxchpwd.sql.

    I know that the DAD is working, because navigate to http://{host:port}/pls/apex Gets an HTTP 302, with a page saying "ERR - 1014 Application not found. ';

Can anyone help? What went wrong with the installation? Should I reinstall?

    Thank you.

Maybe you run the runtime only installation script apxrtins.sql.

  • Routing of URL of application APEX using the HTTP Server

    Hello

I want to route two URLS for two different applications in one single APEX.

    for example

    www.mydomain1.com to http://www.mydomain.com/apex/f?p=100 | http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/Apex/f?p=100

    www.mydomain2.com to http://www.mydomain.com/apex/f?p=200 | http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/Apex/f?p=200

I understand the way to achieve this is second-hand HTTP server... it's very well... it was built and works with standard http.conf

My understanding is that I should add the following to HTTP. CONF

    < VirtualHost www.mydomain1.com >
    ServerName www.mydomain1.com
    DocumentRoot "G:/route1.
    < / VirtualHost >

    < irtualHost www.mydomain2.com >
    ServerName www.mydomain2.com
    DocumentRoot "G:/route2".
    < VirtualHost >

G:/route1 directory I created a HTML index www.mydomain1.com/apex/f?p=100 redirection file
G:/route2 directory I created a HTML index www.mydomain1.com/apex/f?p=200 redirection file

That I put in place and it works

    BUT

I do not look very elegant, time which is a bit slower while he rediects and some firewalls do not rediections

Ideas of improvements or the best way to achieve this is welcome

    Thank you

    Pete

    Hi Pete,.

A few different ways to do it, but if you use mod_rewrite, you can use some rewrite rules, for example:

    ServerName www.mydomain1.com
    ServerAlias www.mydomain1.com

    ProxyPreserveHost On
    RewriteEngine On

    RewriteRule ^/$ /pls/apex/f?p=100 [R=301,L]

Or if you are using a reverse proxy:

    ServerName www.mydomain1.com
    ServerAlias www.mydomain1.com

    ProxyPreserveHost On
    RewriteEngine On

    RewriteRule ^/$ /pls/apex/f?p=100 [R=301,L]

    ProxyPass /pls/apex http://foo:7777/pls/apex
    ProxyPassReverse /pls/apex http://foo:7777/pls/apex
    ProxyPass /i http://foo:7777/i
    ProxyPassReverse /i http://foo:7777/i

    Hope this helps,

    John.

  • HTTP 400 Bad Request when it accesses Oracle XE/Apex of the Internet

I have Oracle Express Edition upgrade to the Apex 3.2. I can access everything (SQL, Apex HTTP command prompt) on my local machine. I configured the remote access on a default undefined port (no 8080) server.

    I've run: exec dbms_xdb.setListenerLocalAccess (false);

I can access the server using:

http://Coyote:9977 / apex (which brings me to the login screen of Services of Administration Application Express)

("coyote" is the name of the local computer to my Windows Vista box, where the Oracle/Apex server.)

    But when I try:

(where "internet_server_name" is the internet DNS name visible to my machine visible to the internet.)

I get 'HTTP 400 Bad Request'

I know that demand is hitting the Oracle listener (pass through the firewall, router, cable modem, etc.) as the http attempt results in the entry:

This seems to be a security problem (is the server an application of "outside" of the local domain?)

Yes, the upgrade of Apex removes the 'DB admin' application Apex Oracle provided with 2.2 (I would like to Oracle he would free downloadable projects).

To enable FTP on the database, you must set the FTP port. See routines dbms_xdb.getftpport () and dbms_xdb.setftpport () http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/appdev.102/b14258/d_epg.htm#CHDIDGIG (documentation that I mentioned earlier) and http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28369/xdb19rpl.htm#i1028085

  • Apex images 5 HTTP server problem

    Hi all

I had an Oracle Apex 5 installed in Oracle Database XE 11 on Windows 7 using EPG. Now, I follow the documentation to configure Oracle HTTP Server with Apex. I used the ofm_webtier_win_11.1.1.7.0_64_disk1_1of1 HTTP server.

I followed the instructions in the documentation:

6.5.1 on the Images copy directory

If you load a new installation or upgrading from a previous version, you must copy the images top level directory of the apex\images Directory, for example C:\TEMP , the location on the file system containing the Oracle home for Oracle HTTP Server.

and copied images files from C:\oraclexe\apex\images to C:\Middleware\Oracle_WT1\ohs\images.

After the race localhost:7777/pls/apex is the case:

    error.png

    It's my C:\Middleware\Oracle_WT1\instances\instance1\config\OHS\ohs1\mod_plsql\dads.conf:

    Alias is 'C:\Middleware\Oracle_WT1\ohs\images\ '.

    < apex/pls/location >

    Order deny, allow

    AllowOverride None

    PlsqlDatabaseConnectString localhost:1521:XE ServiceNameFormat

    PlsqlNLSLanguage AMERICAN_AMERICA. AL32UTF8

    PlsqlAuthenticationMode Basic

    SetHandler pls_handler

    PlsqlDocumentTablename wwv_flow_file_objects$

    PlsqlDatabaseUsername APEX_PUBLIC_USER

    Apex PlsqlDefaultPage

    PlsqlDatabasePassword *.

    PlsqlPathAlias r

    PlsqlPathAliasProcedure wwv_flow.resolve_friendly_url

    Allow all the

    < / location >

    So what don't understand me?

    Hi Pa Przemek,

I'm going to install Oracle HTTP Server because I want to use "bootstrap" theme of apex - bootstrap.com and in a sample of the application that must be installed there is a substitution string that must indicate the directory on a server with files used by a theme.

There is no constraint to have OHS installation based to use bootstrap in Oracle APEX. You can have the theme "bootstrap" on any web listener option (i.e. OHS, EPG, ADR), given that you know where to load the required libraries (knowledge/i /) on the configured web server.

Yes, images directory have been copied properly with this command:

    xcopy/e/i C:\oraclexe\apex\images C:\Middleware\Oracle_WT1\ohs\images

Change the Alias is 'C:\Middleware\Oracle_WT1\ohs\images' in dads.conf and restart didn't help.

Then check the logs of OSH for the determination of the error.

    Reference: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/web.1111/e10144/man_logs.htm#HSADM790

Link that you gave me refers to the different error message. Should I run the apex_epg_config.sql script? Is this relevant also for the HTTP Server installation?

apex_epg_config. SQL is related to the configuration of Embedded PLSQL Gateway(EPG/internal mod_plsql) as your web server. It is not related to configuring Oracle HTTP Server (external mod_plsql).

First of all, I would say that fix on what web server option, you will use (OHS/EPG/ADR).

Reference: choose a Web listening port

Then go through the steps to install and configure your web listening port:

    I hope this helps!

    Kind regards

  • Passing of mod_plsql at APEX

    Hello

In an application to control our production process, we use mod_plsql with Oracle Application Server 10.1.2.3 and database Oracle 10.2.0.4. The application Oracle HTTP Server and its module mod_plsql server serves html pages that provides the database.

    I would like to know:

-Is it easy to migrate from Oracle APEX running exclusively on the 10.2.0.4 this installer database? We want to stop using the Oracle application server in order to save money on licenses.

-If it's not simple (for example, too many changes in html or pl/sql), is there an alternative that we can stop using Oracle Application Server?

I'm sorry if these questions have been answered before. I searched the forum and I don't always get it.

    Thank you very much

    Carlos

    Hi Carlos,

I'm not sure that you understand exactly what is Apex. The apex is a complete programming application built atop mod_plsql, as in the database technology, acting as a web application that uses html to one kind of application which is then transmitted to a browser server. It is not a simple replacement of the OAS.

In your case, you have built an application using mod_plsql paradigm, but in order to place this Summit, you will need to rebuild the application in the Apex. You can simply run a custom application built by their Summit mod_plsql. The advantage that you will find is however that Apex is much easier than the conventional mod_plsql environment to generate an application. Also, obviously the level of database should not change as its still all in the same database.

In your case you seem to be keen, license cost of reasons, to get away from OAS. Apex remains a kind of application server. The good news is that you are not limited to the OAS. There are a number of options, which according to the requirements and configuration are different costs and licensing options from free to full OAS or weblogic.

I hope I've interpreted it correctly your question and I did feel to respond.

  • PLS-00307: too many statements - overloaded method w. the date and time stamp

I ran in an overload situation but can't seem to find out exactly why the following error occurs:
    create or replace package pkg_overload

It seems that Oracle is trying both the implicit conversion of the timestamp to date and no conversion, thus obtaining the error PLS-00307. Can anyone provide more insight in this? Is their still around him (in addition to creating a single method named timestamp procedure)?

SYSTIMESTAMP is a TIMESTAMP WITH time ZONE SCHEDULE. You must provide a separate overload for the TIMESTAMP WITH time ZONE SCHEDULE (and you'll probably want one for a setting of TIMESTAMP WITH time ZONE SCHEDULE LOCAL as well).

    SQL> ed
    Wrote file afiedt.buf

1 create or replace package pkg_overload

      4    procedure overload(p_in in timestamp);
      5    procedure overload(p_in in timestamp with time zone);
      6    procedure overload(p_in in timestamp with local time zone);

  • Pls/apex on standalone URLS

I am currently using Apex Oracle HTML DB with Oracle HTTP Server. URL has been previously configured as http://host:7780/pls/apex

I installed the Application Express listener in stand-alone Mode. Works great on http://host:7780 / apex but I want to change the URL to http://host:7780/pls/apex as before.

    How can I set up?
    TNX

    Hello

You cannot configure the server URL JEE shipped during execution of the auditor of the APEX in standalone Mode, because it is hard coded. Deploy it to a server regular JEE (which is recommended for production anyway) or put an HTTP proxy in front of your APEX listener and configure it to the proxy where you want. You could use your Oracle HTTP Server and configure it as a proxy, but because it seems you want to replace this service, maybe it's a little absurd. ;)
