Mode of hibernation on the Qosmio G50-12 q

In the Qosmio G50 - 12 q, after choosing 'Hibernate' orders to enter into service, it is necessary to press the button out of the pc?

Because by simply selecting "Hibernate", the current - supply is not deleted

Tank you

To be honest I don't understand your question, but typical for the computer Toshiba laptop into hibernation mode is to use the FN + F4 key combination.
Just use this combination and close the display cover.

When you open the notebook lid should wake up again.

The Qosmio G50 supports SATA 2.5 HDD.
    The Intel SSD X 25 - M 80 GB is a 2.5 SSD with the SATA interface.

I think that the SSD should work in your G50 and the BIOS should recognize it because it supports the SATA interface as well.

  • Re: Low Microphone on the Qosmio G50 - 12U

I have "Qosmio G50 - 12U" laptop and everything is perfect, except the microphone.
When I try to communicate with the people of "SkyPe" and I don't want to use a headset, I have to be very close to my monitor in order on the other side to hear me.
When I talk using built in mic for some people who use e.g. "Toshiba Satellite L675" they can stand 5 meters away from their laptop and I can hear them very good and very strong. I have to be very close to my microphone, otherwise they will not hear me.

I checked all the settings and have drivers 'Realtek Semiconductor"08.24.2009 driver version

When I use headphones, the sound is perfect on the other side.

I also checked in the Configuration of the web camera. Everything seems normal.

    I suspect:

I can't believe that this a good laptop has to a bad such microphone...

    Anyone has any advice?
    Thank you

Bad microphone isn't the right term, low perhaps. ;)

Did you check the audio settings in Skype?
Is the micro then put to maximum level?

For example, I have brand new Satellite P500 and with headphones Skype works perfectly but with internal mic use other side cannot hear me so well. Another way some people can't hear me clearly even when I use a headset.

Is perhaps also responsible for Skype connectivity of audio quality.

  • A few questions about the Qosmio G50

I am interested in buying a Qosmio G50 (115 or the H10) to the United Kingdom, but I want to make sure I can be updated at a later date.

    # This machine does support DDR3 1066 mhz RAM as the X 300?
    # Can we buy this machine with SSD instead of hard drives?

    # I know the material support it 8 GB of ram, but Toshiba provides all of the necessary drivers for a 64 bit (Vista home premium) or Ultimate OS, what versions of Windows Server?

  • How to install "FM100 YUAN" on the Qosmio G50

I recently bought a new Toshiba Qosmio G50 laptop.

When you first start up Windows keeps giving me a message saying "Windows needs to install driver software for your YUAN FM100".
Google suggests YUAN is the company that makes the TV Tuner software - I sent to their support center a couple of weeks, but did not respond.

I can't find the driver anywhere - I spent ages Googling that.

I'm under 64-bit Windows Vista, if it's relevant?

  • How to connect the Qosmio G50 for set-top box

    I just got a Qosmio G50.
I am trying to connect to media player via my cable box.

The manual says to connect via an rf cable.
But as the signal is provided by cable SCART, of course, this won't work.

Anyone has any suggestions as how work around this problem.

    I agree with Akuma.
Check the connections you may want to use a different connection.

If you use an adapter, this could make problems.

  • Disassembly of the Qosmio G50

A few months ago I spilled a glass of wine the keyboard of my G50. End of G50, flashing orange power light and would not turn. Insurance replaced with a nice model of Satellite AC and no data has been lost.

I would now like to see if the G50 can be repaired/cleaned, thin hope I know. I removed all visible screws from the base and the back of the computer, but does not know how to go further. Have used a moderate strength but do not want to destroy the beast while pulling outward.

Can anyone advise my next steps?

    Thank you

    David McKeand

Disassembly procedure is not complicated, but this must be done step by step following steps.
What you do is first remove the battery, RAM and HARD drive. After doing this, you must remove keyboard. On this step, you must be very gently. As a first step, you need to remove the keyboard on top of the keyboard stand, then remove the screws that attach the keyboard.

After removing the keyboard check if there's a few screws on the side of the optical drive. If Yes, remove it and shoot the STRANGE (I presume that the screw is down already deleted).

When all the screws at the bottom are removed, return your Qosmio and unplug all connectors.
As last step remove all screws that secure cover.
Now you should be able to remove the cover from the base and you should have access to the motherboard.

Please be very gently. Small error can be responsible for the damage, and you can have a more significant problem than now. Everything you do is at your own risk.
I can't say for sure, but I think that your motherboard is faulty and must be replaced.

    Good luck

  • Display works only for 2 or 3 seconds after it is black on the Qosmio G50

    I have a problem with my G50.
On starup display only works for 2 or 3 seconds after it is black, I connect to an external display and using FN + F5, I can see everything on the second screen, if I turn to the internal using FN + F5 display, it works just the same 2 or 3 seconds.

    Thank you

Looks like an internal display of FL inverter delivers hardware problem but I think that it s display.
It s certainly not display card problem because the external monitor works properly so I think that s no GPU, but screen FL inverter.

I recommend to ask a technician of Toshiba laptop for a detailed audit of the part material

So much trouble, you got there. You may create a Groove and reinstall the original recovery image. After having done this you own preinstalled OS and with the factory settings, everything should work again.

What do you think about this?

    Hi mate

Sorry, but you message I am really hard to understand
What I understand is that you connected an external keyboard on the Qosmio and now the laptop will not boot properly. Is this good?

What to say; Maybe you disable USB legacy mode in the BIOS.
    Please check this!
To enter the BIOS press F2 and everything by turning on the laptop.

  • Qosmio G50-129 PQG55E - 64-Bit Windows 7 updated - update the BIOS?

I have a Qosmio G50 that I've upgraded to Windows 7 64 bit. My BIOS is unupdated for 6 months when I bought the machine.

I went to update the BIOS, just to keep things updated, so I went through the pilot Online Assistant:

And all information entered above, it provides:

After having unpacked and P0060v210.exe running, he extracted, and then said:

"The [error] BIOS update is not taken in charge of operating system. No support for operating system or service pack is installed. "(Word to all my friends of Googling!).

Toshiba has an update of the BIOS for the Qosmio G50 is supported on Windows 7? Specifically for the 64-bit? They need to fix this glitch which orders to download this file when it is not clearly supported by Windows 7.

Also, I tried to run it in compatibility mode with Windows XP SP2 and it worked fine - but I was nervous about going through the update if it didn't initially support Windows 7, so I do not continue to the next prompt. Is it safe to do? Has anyone else in this situation he does without problems? I read the BIOS updates can go horribly wrong, if not careful, so I hesitate to update the BIOS by performing the update in compatibility mode when it doesn't support Windows 7 on its own!

Thanks in advance for any help and Merry Christmas.

    I agree with bljuzga_1.
Because the BIOS is independent, it shouldn't be a problem with the update using Win 7 OS.
The error must be linked to your installed Win 7 OS and not the BIOS bug.

It would also be possible that your value added package for Win 7 is not installed correctly.
This package contains the TOSHIBA components common driver which is an essential component of the Windows operating system. He will have to make the other original programming TOSHIBA works correctly.
