OfficeJet pro 8600 vertical black lines printing when you use the scanner/copier of SMA
I have an Officejet Pro 8600 Plus model N911g that I got a year out of warranty. Worked perfectly until this week when I scanned approximately 50 pages through the ADM. I started it 2 days (near my 5610 old which seems to have problems of aging). I use a Sony VAIO PC, OS Win7-Pro, updated.

I asked this question last October and it was answered and everything worked perfectly. Now, my computer says "no scanner is selected." I was clicking on and clicked on "reset printer", now it doesn't even brings a touch of the scanner click on! I tried to look back on the post of October 2010 who helped me before, but the solution had me uninstall the HP application and now it is no longer in my applications. What should I do? I have a DeskJet 3050 a J611g all-in-one. I use Windows 7 64-bit.
Normally, when I doule - click the icon for the printer to my desktop, I get a window that shows the image of the printer and the HP logo at the top with several printer options and specific scanner click on below, for example, to start an analysis.
A few weeks ago, at the top of this window, I received a message, without doubt, windows, that said that there was an update (or development?) for the printing software, and I want to install it. I clicked on OK, something got quickly downloaded and installed, and this beautiful useful window transformed into a window printer Win7 pretty generic. The printer and scanner-specific options or hp disappeared. I always get the picture of the printer and the hp logo, etc., but in the lower part of this window all I see the following options:
HP printer Assistant / see what's printing / Set Preferences / customize your printer.
In addition, by clicking or double-clicking on "HP printer Assistant" does nothing. I can no longer start a scan in this window, for example.

Unable to launch the scanner on Epson AIO Printer
I had my Epson WF3520 AIO printer for some time and had no problems with printing and faxing. However, I'm unable to scan anything. The printer indicates that there is a communication error when the functionality of the scanner is used. I have checked the installation disc and run set up without success. I contacted Epson and their tech support could not fix the situation and referred me to Windows. There is an error "1068" which indicates that Windows does not start acquisition for imaging scanners. Is this a quick fix, I can do myself or do I get technical support for Windows to sell me a maintenance contract that they may or may not solve? I had this printer AIO for 2 1/2 years and have lived without the function of scan, but it would be nice to have. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
This error appears when printing software does not start with Windows. If you have the software installed, then check in msconfig > startup or > Services (after hiding all the MS Services) to see that all the elements of Epson are verified, apply and then restart.
If not then go to the Epson Support Web page downloads for your model, download the software, install it and allow it to boot with Windows so that the software will be waiting when you want to run a scan.
Scanning can still occur with only the printer driver of base that installs normally when you plug in the printer, but you need to open Windows Fax and Scan Utility to start it. If the printer is not detected, you will need the software of Epson.
