Model 410c - Windows 8.1
After an upgrade to Windows 8.1 my laptop stopped connecting with my wireless printer.
I ran the HP print and scan doctor 4.2. The Print utility allows me to print a proof on my printer wireless. The utility Scan says that the complete software solution is not installed on my computer.
I tried to reinstall the HP software following the instructions on the HP help site. When you run the installation, I get an error saying "the specified service does not exist as an installed service."
What should do? Should I use the Setup utility to uninstall, then try again?
Once created this account, I would like you to perform a clean boot on the computer. This will prevent most of the third-party programs interfere with the installation of the software, since some third-party programs may cause this problem. Here is some information on how to perform a clean boot: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
The next step performs a file system check. To do this, run as administrator command prompt again. Type this command and press ENTER after: sfc/scannow
SFC stands for System File Checker and it analyzes and attempts to restore corrupted Windows. Run this could find a corrupted file or a service and fix it. Once completed, it will basically say either no corrupted files have been found, corrupted files were found and repaired or corrupt files were found but did not not be repaired. Restart after it ends and record your results.
Once the audit is completed, I want to make sure all Windows updates have been installed. Here is some information on how to install all of your Windows updates: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/windows-vista/install-windows-updates
Before you install the printer again, I would like to reregister you the Windows Installer service. To do this correctly, please open the prompt as administrator and type the following commands (press ENTER after the first command):
msiexec /Unregister
msiexec/regserver
I would like to now you try to reinstall the printer software. If the problem still persists, please make another level 3 uninstall and restart the computer. The next step is to add the printer via the Windows program "add a printer". To do this, you must know the IP address of the printer (you can access this information by printing a Network Setup page the printer off).
Now, open devices and printers, and then select Add a printer. Make sure that you select "local printer", when it asks you. It will generate an error. Once you see the error, click Next and select the option to choose a printer port. Create a new port, select standard TCP/IP port, and click Next. This action opens the TCP/IP port Wizard. Insert the IP address listed for the network configuration page and the printer name.
You can now select the driver. Select HP, select disk, and then click Next. Select the autorun.inf in the current "7z" folder for the printer and click Next. He should have success at this stage. Try to print the test page, it suggests. If so, this implies the print driver installation was a success. Now, you can try to upgrade the software to make it work.
If this does not work, perform an other level 3 uninstall, then restart the computer. Afterwards, go to the Windows registry. Before you troubleshoot remaining, please back up the registry. Here is information on how to do it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01817264
After completing it. Navigate to the following location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E967-E325-11CE-BBBFC1-08002BE10318}
Once you're there, remove the lower filter value in the right panel. Under this key, there are also some subkeys for example 0000, 0001, etc.. Double-click on and remove those as well. Once this is done, restart the computer and try to install the printer using the printer Installation Wizard.
Please respond with your results when you are done troubleshooting. I'm only here to help!

Model of Windows Server 2008 R2 will not domain join
Hello.
I made a few model of Windows Server 2008 R2 to our esx 4 update 1 hosts.
My isue is that these servers will not join the domain with the customization, I did. I know I use the right user (with appropriate rights) because I use the same user on other models.
Does anyone else have this problem?
Do I did wrong?
Hi all
If you guys have tried to enter the area do not use the NetBIOS name? In other words... Please try entering the domain FULL of the domain name.
Also make sure that the connection is entered with the UPN and not the pre-Windows 2000 format, in other words: username@FQDN instead of user domain\username
Thank you!

I have a 2000 Notebook PC HP, Model # QE334UA, running Windows 7. The wireless signal is showing all the bars at the bottom right, but I am unable connect wireless to what anyone (for example, any web browser, Outlook, Dropbox). When you connect via a LAN, however, I have no problem. Here are some details on what I tried:
1.) this same problem occurs on all the networks I tried, even if the other computers are on these networks, is not a problem of router/modem. Yet, I restarted those and nothing helped.
Rebooted 2.) the computer.
3.) done a system restore.
4.) checked IPV4 settings make sure IP & DNS server addresses are configured to automatically get.
5.) turned on and off the wireless on the keyboard button.
6.) as gone with the Device Manager and press update driver software for all network adapters.
7.) deactivated and reactivated all NICs.
I have read many other forums - than where I got these ideas- and it seems a common problem, but I could not find an answer that works. I'm not too technically savvy, so maybe I'm missing something, but any help would be LARGELY APPRECIATED, especially because my warranty just expired.
Thank you
Zack
I have it! It turns out that my SonicWall VPN has been the origin of the problem. Thank you!

HP pavilion 17 model F080CA windows 7 drivers
I bought this machine that came with windows 8.1 and want to return to the OS to Windows 7, I have the disc and the license. In reading the various posts on this forum it seems that I need Windows 7 drivers for this machine. Maybe someone knows where I can find the different drivers I need?
Thank you
Herman
Hi, Herman:
It is a model that is very difficult to install W7 x 64 on and I cannot guarantee everything will work perfectly, but it should.
Here's the W7 x 64 drivers you need for W7: (assuming you can get it to install)...
But before we get into that there are two things you need to do before you continue...
1. your W8.1 recovery media set. You may not like MS ramming a BONE you dislike in your throat, but you'll like it a lot less if you cannot use your laptop at all, this experience will stop working. See the information below.
2. you will need change some settings in the BIOS to be able to install and run W7. See the info below...
Now for the drivers...
1 install the amd chipset driver and restart. You want the first file on the Web page.
http://support.AMD.com/en-us/download/chipset?OS=Windows%207%20-%2064
2. install the graphics driver and restart.
http://support.AMD.com/en-us/download/mobile?OS=Windows%207%20-%2064
3. install the audio driver and restarted.
4 install the ethernet driver.
5. install the driver for the wireless card.
http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/SWD/public/detail?swItemId=ob_139278_1
6. install the bluetooth driver.
7 install the card reader driver.
8. install the mouse driver.
9 install the webcam software.
If there is remaining devices that need drivers after installing all the drivers above, please let me know what they are and I'll see what additional drivers are needed.

Flow 11: 11 wake model install Windows 10
Before you download and install the upgrade to win 10 that I want to know how much space is left in my 32 GB of storage?
Can what problems I expect due to the slower CPU in this unit in the computers of size?
Data flow model real # is RTL8723BE
How Windows 10 applies updates should mean that you have more space than Windows 8.1, which has increased by almost 10 GB when fully updated. Time will tell. The processor is not actually so bad; It will work as well with 10 as did with 8.1, even a little better, according to The Verge. Many of the new features do not work at all however, due to other physical limitations. Record with your eyes; the camera is not good enough. No "Hey Cortana" - the microphone is not good enough.

survey creating model Service Windows profile
I have used so far only UCS for ESXi and worked great. I'm setting up a Windows machine now and set up a model service for Windows profile. I was wondering which option is best for a vNIC or model if there is one advantages / disadvantages.
(1) set up a model vNIC that uses tissue and activate the failover and put a vNIC in the Service profile template
OR
(2) set up two models of vCNIC, one for each Fabic, without tipping and put the two vNIC in the Service profile template. Then, during the installation of windows in team network cards.
Is there a difference between the two. They should both provide the same level of redundancy correct? I was going to just to use option 1. If I apply an update of firmware for interconnection of fabric and I use option 1, it will not be a problem as it should failover to other correct fabric?
Thanks for the help.
Hey Russ, I usually recommend option 1 so that you don't have to deal with the collection of windows software. Here's a blog post I did on the subject earlier - http://jeremywaldrop.wordpress.com/2010/03/18/cisco-ucs-vnic-failover/

My Windows experience index is 1.0, so I tried to lift it up, but each time, I get the following error message:- "the current video card can support Aero with a compatible with Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM) driver. Contact the manufacturer of your computer or your video card for one Driver WDDM compatible.
I went through the Lenovo Web site for two days, without a clue to this problem. Please note that I've upgraded to Windows 7 Professional to Windows XP Professional.
I will be grateful if you help me to solve this problem.
Have you tried to get the driver from here?

Pointer to Touch-pad which disappears to a computer model of Windows 8
Hello
I'm working on a Windows laptop, 8 model, and recently I have been encountering a problem with the touch-pad. Occasionally, for no reason at all, once the mouse pointer icon disappears from view, and I rely on the touchscreen to do my job. Would not a big problem, if all the applications worked fine with my awkwardly-large fingers. I think that the touch-pad of my computer has been disabled somehow. Please let me know how I can fix this problem as soon as possible.
Thank you
Melody
I would say as a starting point to do two things:
- Open the Windows Store app and get the Windows 8.1 update which is pending. It fixes hundreds of problems.
- Go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer (Dell, Acer, HP, etc) and choose your model and download the latest graphics drivers available, they have for you.

It has been a while, but I thought that when I was working for vSphere 4.1 a Windows 2008 with no model making of sysprep. Seems I remember that there is no need to copy the Sysprep files into the sysprep vCenter folder. It tells me that Windows 2008 needs to have the sysprep files copied to the sysprep folder in vCenter. Is this correct?
That's right-
