Model encode

Hello

IAM using a simple quadrature encoder... I need to know how should I model in the control loop.

Thank you

Hello SK0480

Thank you very much for this information. To find the number of laps for a given number of pulses, simply divide the number of pulses by 16.

For a more detailed explanation:

If you know that the encoder is 16 impulses per turn, then we also know how many rounds / impulse that we have. To get this value, we simply take the inverse value of the impulses per turn to find the number of turns per pulse.

In short, number of laps = (number of pulses) / 16 = (1/16) x the number of pulse = (0,0625 x number of pulses)

So, if you have counties to convert revolutions, multiply the number of pulses by 0,0625 or divide by 16.

I have included a document that illustrates this step by step, but I don't want to make it too complicated.

This concept will be very important for your success, so please let me know if I can provide more details.

For example, the first lines of the model and the same first lines of this file, which is created from this template to look like this:

Why did DW stripping on the template feature?

When you create a new page of the child from a template, there is a checkbox at the

checked?

• Send the model to media encoder

Hello

Is it possible in a script to send a model to the adobe media encoder?

Not 100% garenteed to work every time, but my tests worked at AE CC., it uses the executeCommand method, so it could be unstable, but currently, the only option to send comps to media encoder. Simply select the comps in your project window and run the script.

BEGINNING

var app.project = proj;

itemCount var = proj.numItems;

var curItem;

for (var i = 1; i)<=itemCount;>

curItem = proj.item (i);

If (curItem instanceof CompItem) {}

Ignore

} else {}

curItem.selected = false;

}

}

app.executeCommand (app.findMenuCommandId ("add to Adobe Media Encoder queue...")); Is not ideal, nor stable

END

• Try adding a model Media Encoder queue, but nothing happens. CC

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling after effects CC and first Pro CC, and I still can't Media Encoder to start.

Applications > Adobe Media Encoder CC

If it's not there then uninstall everything, including the creative cloud, run the tool for cleaning of adobe and re - install.

• Watch a rules and model box simultaneously in Firefox 20 Inspector

I've upgraded to Firefox 20 and now my Inspector is confined to the lower part of the display in an iFrame that I can get out.

In previous versions, I could open the rules CSS and visualization of box model at the same time. This was one of the main reasons that I considered the Inspector Firefox superior to those of opera, Chrome and Safari.

I can't seem to find a way to do it now... what I have to click between the box model and the rules or is there a way to get back to the old route of the inspector or one that is better that way?

I'll encode an add-on if I do this thing to work.
Very disappointed that Firefox deleted their old default Inspector view.

Yes, you can open open a tab at the time in the left pane (you will also get a tab fonts).

There will be a lot more tools added to the inspector window in the future versions of Firefox and by opening all the windows could reduce the screen available for the web page for next to nothing.

So that's how it goes, and you will have to pay.

• Selection of encoder to use with NI PCI-6221 for a project of inverted pendulum

Hi, I'm a mechanical engineering student is his last years, for my final project I do an inverse pendulum system, the University already offered me this data acquisition card which is a NI PCI-6221, and I have to get the other components (motor continuous, encoders, cables, servoamplificateurs, etc.).

My concern is to choose the right encoder so I have no problem... I was told that the best way to measure the position of the carriage uses an absolute encoder mounted on the motor shaft and some incremental encoders for measurement of angles of clock, but I don't know if the 6221 can handle this kind of data to an absolute encoder, and if so, what are the main parameters for selection? as the format, the number of bits.

In the case where it doesn't work I have to go with the option of incremental encoders for both measure the position of the carriage and the angle of the pendulum, I believe the 6221 can manage entries in quadrature encoders, there´re a lot of examples of this, but since models of incremental encoders are wide enough there´re some features that I worry about : frequency vs the sampling frequency response and the output type.

I found a catalogue which includes two types of digital incremental encoders said their models have 300 KHz frequency response, being the only differences, the output and food, anyway the 6221 can handle this freq resp? sampling rate of the card being 250 kech. / s, would there be any conflict?

They offer two types of output: TTL/74LS04 and line pilot, and even if I go further with the hohner encoders they have the following outputs/freq RESP: RS-422 (TTL compatible) / 300 KHz, push-pull differential/200 KHz, NPN Open Collector/100 KHz and push - pull without complementarity/200 KHz.

Any help would be well received

PD: I don't know if a similar topic has already been posted, I'm again like this... I searched in other posts, but found nothing,

• Erratic counting quadrature encoder

Hello

I try to use LabVIEW 9.0 and an acquisition of data USB-6212 for measuring angular displacement of rotating quadrature encoder (digital model we E2) attached to a linear actuator based on the stepper motors.

With the help of the VI linked to below and the default PFI pin on the acquisition of data, I can get the Angle of the VI to change, but with two issues indicator.

http://forums.NI.com/attachments/NI/170/144774/1/QuadratureEncoderM-series.VI

1. the only way I can assure you that the Angle indicator remains at a constant value with the VI running and the stepper motor moves do not is to turn off the power to the encoder. In other words, when the 5V power is provided to the encoder, the Angle indicator sometimes remains constant at a certain value and sometimes increases, even if the motor step does not move. I added a waveform table that displays the Angle to see more easy output.

2. with the engine not to not pass any if she moves hourly or counterclockwise, the angle indicator only increases (counting). Changing the direction of engine displacement does not decrease the angle.

I checked the DAQ pins I use: PFI 3, Z = A = B = 11 PFI with ctr and PFI 4 1. I tried both ctr0 and ctr1 with the same results. I used a multimeter to check the outputs a, B and Z on the encoder to output with the motor step-by-step to displacements of various populations, and I'm getting ~ + 5V sometimes and ~ 0V sometimes telling me that the encoder, which is new, seems to move from high to low.

This sounds like the kind of behavior that may be caused by noise in signals? If so, who should not have something to do with the Angle only, correct? To get the Angle to reduce, should I change something in VI?

I thank you very much for any assistance, you can give.

Hi Mike,.

From what you describe, I feel the symptom of the meter backwards never is a side effect of the issue where the meter continuously counts up while in not moving. This really looks like a noise problem, and there are a few small but noticeable spikes in your graphics HAVE you provided. Basically, as long the (Source) Signal led B Signal (to THE), then the meter progressive count. This is for X 1 coding, which I assume that you are using. Look here Figure 5, in virtue of the X 1 section for how this encoding reads your signals of encoding:

Your connections you describe are correct, so it'll be a matter of getting rid of the problem where the meter is incremented on its own which I believe will solve your other problems. Take a look at these links to see if adding filters on the internal counter inputs to the card allows the measurement: Activate the digital M series filtering allowing digital filters for TIO Debounce NOR-DAQmx devices

• How can I get channel z (zero) data encoder with a NEITHER-9411 in scan mode?

Hello

I use a cRIO to read a quadrature encoder, and I need z-Canel (zero channel) data using a NOR-9411 in scan mode.

Chassis: NEITHER cRIO-9074

Module C-series: 9411

Encoder: EIB H25 series (model # XH25D-SS-1440-ABZC-28V/V-SM18)

Now, I installed it using in scan mode and the properties > Configuration parameters of specialty as follows:

Lifestyle specialty: Quadrature

Input filter: disabled

Time base of speed: 4096us

Index Mode: Disabled

This replaces Position0 position 1, Velocity0 and Velocity1 module instead of et0, DI1 channels, etc. It works well to get a reading of the speed, but not the Z.

I need to know Z as in the rest of my program calculations depend on. (For this encoder Z is a digital signal that goes low when the encoder reaches 360 °. It is also a very fast signal. 7200 RPM, it has a width of approximately 3.3us pulse.

How can I get the data Z in Scan Mode?

Agile Hello,

The mode setting of index is the only way to access the Z channel in Scan Mode. If selected the position will reset when the z channel is detected and the phase of the two other channels corresponds to your selection.

It seems that you have the real z signal elsewhere in your code. You may use the position data to generate the Z channel for this purpose?

Let me know if you have any other questions,

Sebastian

• How to contact encoder Kübler

Hi, I need to communicate with an encoder Kübler RS485 using commands Esc (00P)for the position). I have been using VISA VI with other instruments for a while with no problems. I have computers with windows Vista and XP and it seems that these commands need in real time which is not compatible Win XP/Vista. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you to

Dear sisco79901,

Encoder of what model you are using? It is the closest, I could find:

http://www.clrwtr.com/PDF/Kubler/Kubler-9081-absolute-encoders.PDF

And for this and other models that I have watched, configure you the hardware configuration by setting some lines either high or low before feeding the encoder.

Can you provide a link to the technical data sheet or manual for your specific encoder? I have also found not any reference to these commands Esc in any of the Kübler writings that I have watched so far.

If you send commands to control lines specific in respect to this low voltage or high, you can use any device which will output the appropriate voltage (MIO DAQ card for example) and DAQmx driver in LabVIEW.

If you need to send these commands via RS - 485, then you can always use the driver NI-VISA, because it supports serial RS-485 communication.

Hello

You will need to use the system board jumpers to reset it - the procedure is detailed under the sub-section "Erase PASSWORD settings" on the following link.

• system cannot read the model of writeback

Hi all

I have tables A and B. I have activated the writeback table A.

My requirement is when I enter the value in the table A new value will be updated in table B.

while trying to update the values, I get the following error

"The system is unable to read the writback"writeback"model. Contact your system administrator.

Please guide me.

• Wizard Model EF accidents

Here is the list of installed software and their version:

• Oracle DB 11g 11.2.0.3.0
• Visual Studio Professional 2013 12.0.21005.1
• .NET framework 4.5.51209
• Entity Framework 6.0.2
• Manager ODP.NET 12 c 12.1.021 driver

Now the problem: I am creating an MVC application that connects to an Oracle database. The models will be created based on existing views in the Oracle DB(forced to be this way). I have therefore created the basic MVC application in Visual Studio, installed EF and ODP. The fun starts now. If I go to the Visual Studio Server Explorer and add a new connection it is my Oracle db (TNS or EZConnect) it can connect and I can see the views I want and ask (just to prove that Oracle is not out of reach). Now when I go to my project follow these steps:

1. Right click on the template file and make add-> ADO.NET Entity Data Model
2. The person name, click OK
3. Select the generate database, press Next
4. "OracleDbContext" is the selected connection. I get the circle of blue treatment for a few seconds, then Assistant disappears.

From what I've been able to gather is that he's trying to connect to my Oracle db on this screen, so that I can continue to choose tables/views and so on. Why it fails here I'm not sure that I use the same login details, user, password I did in the Server Explorer, which works very well. I'll stick my web.config below (disinfect but I have triple checked all spelling):

<? XML version = "1.0" encoding = "utf-8"? >

Not sure if there is a format of 'code' for details of config. Let me know if you need additional information. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Will post my solution in case someone else comes on this problem. For some reason any with a connection to my Oracle DB in the Visual Studio Server Explorer performs a kind of conflict with EF/ODP. When I removed this connection and cleaned my web.config file have no connection the Assistant Entity Framework does not crash and has been able to generate the model. So do not establish a connection to your database using Server Explorer, instead on the "Choose your data connection" screen of the Wizard(the one that used to crash) entity, press 'new connection... '. "and go from there.

• Adobe Media Encoder CC 2015 slow rendering time

Hello!

I'm new to video editing in general, but I'm quite intimate with the PC hardware so here.

Specifications:

• The stock of 4770K i7, no thermal regulation speed
• 8 GB 1600 MHz CL9 DDR3 RAM
• GTX 780 + 170 MHz clock and 110% limit/95 degrees C temp power target
• Driver 368.39 used
• 3 x Samsung 840 EVO (no raid)
• Windows 10 64-bit running off SSD1
• PE/AE/SOUL installed on this drive
• Cache / Scratch areas on this drive
• Images under development
• SSD 2
• Games
• SSD3
• Games

I save images using shadowplay NVIDIA from a 75 Hz screen 2560 x 1080. The output file is a 1920 x 1080 60 fps 35Mbps bitrate H.264 MP4 file. (1920 x 810 with black bars).

I would add that sequences Adobe Premiere elements 14, do any editing that I have to do, and then export it to a file of bitrate MP4 1080 p H.264 12Mbps. The rendering process usually take around 10-12 minutes to 6 minutes video.

I then add this file to output in Adobe After effects CC 2015, create a composition with drag and create a button, add a few layers of text and export it via Adobe Media Encoder CC 2015 (AE supports native H.264 from what I understand) with the SAME PARAMETERS. But this time, and I estimate that I type here, render times are 40 minutes.

I ran a few tests and in the course of the first to make the CPU turns to about 80% CPU and the use of 1.8 to 2 GB, as I watch often some youtube in the meantime, so that understandeably not 100%. However, to the course to make AE/SOUL, le CPU CPU remains at about 30% CPU and 1.8 GB ram usage. With the help of the Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA) I expect to see more high on my GTX 780 loads, but he is 2-3% of load, so anything.

Since my render outputs are (to the best of my knowledge) identical between the EP and shall return AE/SOUL, it seems that the use of material by SOUL is in this case. Other posters have suggested that some effects require the previous frame to be returned to pass, but I have not used such effects, are limited to simple text.

So what's happening? I would appreciate any insight you have on this and I stand ready to provide more information that you need.

Kind regards

First of all, wow. Thank you so much for the depth and quality of your response! If everyone had that kind of mentality, forums would be a very different place...

No problem! That's why I'm here.

It is certainly useful that you said your question clearly, with a lot of info and he asked respectfully. Quantity of, "why his does not work u should help me solve this NAOW! 1. 1. ' messages with no information is astounding.

I'll try to be to condense my game data on a single disk or both and use the third exclusively for editing. Or I could buy a new one, if the budget allows.

This would be ideal. In my freelance studio, I have three separate units

1. OS/software
2. Footage
3. Cache (if there are different types of player, it should be faster than you [I know your are currently all the same, it's more for future fans forum])

It will probably not help much for the rendering speed, but it should help when you're interacting.

Before moving on to something else, I want to explain what I'm doing with text. I add text and overlay video, with sometimes a few very basic motion tracking (I can't forget this feature if I need). To the best of my knowledge, PE lets just add a black screen with text over time, like on a Blackboard for example. No text overlays/over-the-video (if it has no meaning...). So respect that, Premiere Pro have these features? If so I could make the switch.

Certainly, you should stop using the Premiere Elements and start using Premiere Pro. Not only it gives MUCH more flexibility in the work, but you can layer objects of type as much as you want on top of your film.

He was also transparent enough with AE. By example, if you have a shot that you want to add text, you could cut the part that would have text and simply right-click and choose "replace with After Effects composition. That images will be replaced with a dynamic link to a model of EI that already contains the images that you are handling. You save your AE project and results will be displayed immediately on the first! It's really convenient. If you want to keep this direct link, you can. Or if you are sure you are finished with AE work and wants to read smoothly at first, you can choose to make and replace it. It restores an intermediate file to AE and replaces the model tied first with her. VERY useful feature.

If you keep track of movement, you probably want to use AE. Although you can make an animation in Premiere Pro, AE is much more suited to do. And if you start to get really fancy, you probably want to do some rotoscoping too.

I understand that EI requires much more accurately, and the way you explained it enabled me to understand one of the big question I had with her, which was "why reading in real time is so difficult in AE? You answered that perfectly, cheers!

There is much more detail in the fact that I could get! Basically, AE must first build a cache, and then he reads. Maybe I should have said that. It is even simpler and shorter!

On the issue of compression, I realized that the work of a compressed codec is not ideal. My gross output of Shadowplay file was indeed H.264 because I believe that is the single output file, it allows. I don't think I can do without shadowplay for now because it has unique characteristics which cannot be replaced:

• For extremely low hardware with Nvidia drivers
• Ability to retroactively save a video after an interesting "keep-worthy" event, to avoid recording 24/7 in the hope of something interesting

Those who do not sound like some very useful features. Just make sure that you get quality settings in the codec to achieve a data rate as it allows.

Also, to continue on the issue of compression, I got mixed responses regarding this. Some, like you, would say that working with H.264 sacrifices quality and performance, but some say that it is not a problem since the youtube compression will be severely disfigue the file in any case.

YouTube can recompress, Yes. But if so, it adds ANOTHER layer of compression. That would be an argument even more important to preserve the quality of your side as much as possible.

I think my question would be: I would win a much higher quality using Fraps/Dxtory where I can control the settings of the raw images (keeping in mind I lose the comfort of ShadowPlay) even though the compression of Youtube should (I think?) disfigure this film?

I think that the benefits of ShadowPlay outweigh the concerns that I had about compression in only one step. I still say don't do any other steps in making H.264s again and again that you transmit your project between applications. If you need to make something (you won't have to if you start to use together the Premiere Pro and AE), renders an intermediate codec until you create your deliverable.

So, keeping in mind of all of your suggestions and the constraints I have / has chosen to conform to, I should:

• Have the work files on a separate disk, with areas scratch on this drive or free
• Replace PE PP to eliminate the need for the AE and have only a single record
• Since a single rendition is necessary, it is therefore more a real need for an intermediate codec low compression/lossless

Yes. Although, you can still use AE, you have eliminated the need to make the intermediate files if you use Premiere Pro and AE set.

In addition the Dynamic Link workflow I mentioned, you can also (once you have finished your editing in Premiere Pro), your Premiere Pro project import into AE. Use import > import Premiere Pro control project. She puts your complete sequence in AE with each cut on its own layer. You really need to do if you started to do really complex with your AE work if.

• First & encode: OpenCL vs Metal

Hey there, I just installed the updated 2015.3. However, my question is what the engine Mercury Playback is better to use on MacOS, OpenCL or metal? I saw the option and I was wondering if metal gives better performance and faster export times? Can someone enlighten me?

Screen Shot 2016-06-21 at 2.19.06 PM.png

Well, I have some preliminary results of it. It seems that use OpenCL is still better.

I have been using one of the trash Mac Pro (model identifier: MacPro6, 1) with 2 GB of graphics memory, 16 GB of RAM and a 6-Core Intel Xeon E5 to 3.5 GhZ clock and speed for an hour of video of final product, it took ten hours encoder to export using metal. OpenCL would have done much faster. Also, I noticed that if I put my project settings to use metal on OpenCL, then I noticed that it forces me to visit more often (red line) that if I use OpenCL which normally does not make me almost at all (yellow line).

So in conclusion, I think that OpenCL is always the rendering engine of choice for me. I hope that it is useful and helpful to you all!

See you soon,.

• I can work on after effects being coded by best practices and Media Encoder file

I just found out that after effects files can be returned outside the program using the media encoder. I had been made in after effects of .mov, then open the file in photoshop to render the .mov to a mp4. Not the process faster, but it worked. If I use media encoder to make my legacy model would still be able to work in AfterEffects and edit and save the file rendered in media encoding, or it is locked? I hear also the media encoder is slower than the after effects encoder. What are the best practices for a comp sequelae which makes a mp4 (h264)? Thank you...

Depending on what you do the SOUL can be slower than using index rendering, but that's the only thing that you must use to make H.264 files.

When you send a model to the SOUL a virtual copy of this composition that is the source for this rendering. You can continue to work on the same computer and additional changes but if you want these changes appears you will need to send this model to the SOUL again after making the changes.

Almost without exception, I'm working on plans not and certainly never movies sequences in After Effects. My average computer is probably seven seconds, my average film is probably 30 minutes so I use AE to work on plans for effects which cannot be treated in my NLE. I almost always send a model to the SOUL to render a h.264 or a suitable production master, or both, and then I continue working in AE because I can't afford to wait for a rendering time. On almost all of it is the more efficient workflow.
