  Hi, recently my computer has stopped working. It lights up; However, he will just stay at the startup screen until the screen will Dim.   I'll make this quick-> I replaced my HARD drive and did not have a copy of the recovery and it can not find anywhere. Called HP, they say that they cannot provide the recovery and I have go Microsoft online, went to Microsoft and they say:

• ENVY dv6 - 7373ca: lack of drivers (ACPI\HPQ0004 & ACPI\HPQ6001), 10 Windows

  Hello

  After clean installation Windows 10, build a 10586.0, there are two unknown devices in the Manager of devices with the following details:

  1. ACPI\HPQ0004\2 & DABA3FF & 0
  2. ACPI\HPQ6001\2 & DABA3FF & 0

  I don't know if these pronlems have something to do wirh special HP-functions 'Hard Drive Protection' and 'Wireless button' which are not supported by Windows 10 so far. There is no Windows 10-registration on the site of HP support for laptop model "WANT dv6 - 7373ca ', and HP Auto Detect can't find anything either.

  Can anyone help?

  When I was browsing through the maintenance and service guide, I noticed you have switchable graphics.

  That being said, I suggest you do a recovery in factory.  This will reinstall the drivers of graphics cards correctly and I hope to solve this problem.

  Performing a recovery of system HP (Windows 7)

  During the recovery, there is an option to backup your personal data if you do not have a recently I'd do one now to avoid any data loss.

  Restore files that have been supported to the top using HP Recovery Manager (Windows 7)

  If for any reason any recovery did not resolve the issue please provides your exact model of DV6.

  I have a Hp laptop with model name dv6 - 2135ev, series [Personal information deleted], product WH722EA #B1A. Recently, I bought 8 GB DDR3L-1600 CL9 204 Hyper Kingston SoDIMM (2X4GB) 1.35v but laptop takes care of 1.5V. I thought that it was ok to have less volt rather volts more than 1.5, but when I installed this ram, a message will appear when windows starts "your pc came across a problem..." ». So I installed my previous ram and everything was ok.

  I would ask if I had a bad market, so I have to buy now a RAM to 1.5 volts or if there is nothing like bios upgrating to handle this due to there is no ram to my bios options.

  You made a bad move. It is not so much tension, even if it's a problem, it's the speed of the memory. I'm sure that your laptop uses also known as PC3-8500 DDR3-1066. And seriously, where did you see that it's OK to have less volts? There is no BIOS upgrade or anything else, the question is purely physical.

• Pavilion DV6-6153: No Audio signal except for system sounds

  Hello. So recently, I replaced the motherboard in my laptop because my bios has been corrupted. After that all setting upward and upward and the race, I'm running in this audio problem. All the system sounds work fine as the starter and such. When I click on test in sound control panel I can hear it, but when I try to play a music file or to play a video on youtube there is no audio at all. Windows media player says there is a problem with the audio device, but I don't know what it is. So far I tried to uninstall and reinstall the IDT audio drivers but the problem persists. If someone has a different solution, it would be much appreciated! My laptop are:

  Here is a link to HP laptops - no sound on speakers (Windows 7).  You can skip the steps that you did previously.

  If after you have installed the drivers of origin since the Recovery Manager, you still have a problem with the sound, I suggest you do a recovery in factory.

  You could also test the sound card just to rule out this possibility.

  Help!  I have 2 laptops I want to reformat and reinstall Win 7 (64 bit). I have a copy of Windows 7 on both, but in my last shot of some books of office and folders disappeared, and Yes, my folders with installation for most of my software discs are not found.

  I have the product key Win for both, I wonder if I can order real HP install disks to reinstall the drivers specific to each laptop and the O.S.?  Is it too late to get always the disks for Win 7 now that Win 10 is fashionable?  I really like the stability that I receive in Win 7... These 2 laptops are runnin strong, but it's time to do my rag and reinstall processes to clear the em!   :-)

  Sorry you had such a difficult time there!

  You can try to run the system recovery method in the Recovery Manager program, or F11 invites.

  It shouldn't work in other than to use the recovery discs.

  In case you still want the disks, you can order them from this provider no HP as well.

  The cost should not be a lot more than if you order at HP (which seems to be problematic).
