  Something happened with my computer where all my icons have been changed to the icon of Internet Explorer and if clicked they come up like all what they used to be which is Microsoft Downloads .encre or Amazon Cloud .encre. This .encre was not there before, and it's at the end of all my file names. None of my files will open or save. In fact, all they do is is to continue to open it, save, cancel box unless I hit Cancel, then it stops. I tried to delete and the icons disappear, but names remain in my programs. I tried to get back them to the last time, but I thought there is no previous time. I've done two scans Norton, an analysis of Microsoft and many other things that I remember even now.

  Someone can help or is this one of PC.

• Pavilion 17-f115dx: replacing the screen for this model of computer?

  Hi all!

  I had the laptop for Christmas and the new year, my sister broke the screen. Since then, I am looking for a replacement of the screen. I'm not sure of the size of the screen is, (in fact, I'm a newbie in all of this). Anyone know where I could go. I've been looking for hours and I finally found this forum. • Incompatible recovery disc with my computer model.

  I have HP Pavilion Notebook dv9074ea. Windows Home Edition SP 3. I just burn two DVD recovery. When I started with the #1 recovery disk, I got the message: this recovery CD is not compatible with your model of computer (paraphrase - my OS is Norwegian). I am very proud of my computers altruism because its creating discs for other recovery models computer, but it is very frustrating for me to be the owner of this particular model.

  One thing struck me as odd however: he says that this 'CD' is not compatible, even if it's a DVD.

  Is this a common problem? Do I have to burn the CD 12 instead of 2 DVDs? (wait, I can't burn a new version, it is a time thing)

• Why my computer (windows 7) would a 'sleep' mode while I am on the internet or just doing some stuff on my computer?

  Recently I ran into a few problems with my windows 7.  Everything first, just a week and a half I am upgrading my antivirus/spyware program and a number of times I want to restart the computer.  I managed to get into my computer without difficulty the first time, then the last restart, I couldn't enter my computer!  So, I used the recovery disks and started fresh and I also bought another disc of the same product antivirus/spyware, installed and put in the new activation key and thought I was standing (there was some problems under reliability, he says Microsoft register server has stopped working).

  This morning, I have the problem that when I'm on the computer (either on the net or just doing some stuff on the computer), it goes into mode 'sleep' and I have to enter the password.

  2. What anti-virus program is installed in the computer? Do you have problems running the program?

  The error "Microsoft register server has stopped working" usually arises due to the DEP data. In addition, your computer past "standby mode" reflects a possible problem with the installation fails, the anti-virus program or due to a misconfigured power management. So, I would suggest trying the following methods and check if the problem persists.

• Need a solution to customize virtual machines deployed from models

  When I deploy virtual machines from a template, the guest of the new virtual machine operating system takes the same size of hard drive than the model between what was created.  It is very fast to increase the size of the virtual hard disk after deployment.  But the size of the partition in the guest operating system is unchangeable.  This means that, for each virtual machine, I have to start the virtual machine and either extend the guest operating system by using an operating system disk management tool or a third-party for the partition management application.

  It takes a lot of time to do during the deployment of a large number of virtual machines.  Another option is to create a template for each size of hard drive - but the problem with this is that all of these models for each operating system must be maintained, that takes a lot of time.

  Does anyone have ideas for another or better solutions?  For example, is there such a thing as a tool that integrates with VMware to enable not only the size of the virtual hard disk, but also the size of the partition of the guest operating system to customize when you create a virtual model of computer?

  EDIT: Both pis.  I fixed it myself.  Open by double click my computer > tools > Folder Options.  Click Folder Options on the menu drop down > new window will open.  Click View tab > click Reset all folders.  A dialog box will pop and ask if you want to continue? > Yes.  This fixed my issue.  Very simple to do.
