Modem ADSL for EA3500

I have a router EA3500. I have ADSL service at our offices. Which modem (or product) Cisco doesn't recommend you leave will present services to broadband to the EA3500? I called Cisco and they said 'buy a X 3000'. I don't see the point of buying another modem/router to power the router EA3500! All I have to do is to present the EA3500 with the 'broadband '. Thank you... Peter.

It is a good choice. Go with the X 3000 because it is already a router. If you already have an existing modem the EA3500 would be the 'guy' for you. But then to simplify the configuration, go with the combo instead. In this way, that you don't have to set up too many appliances.

Can what comparison be made between time capsule and Smart RG s505 wireless modem router for wifi

    Superior...

After all, the chip is mainly a modem.

Wireless is there but not designed as the primary connection.

Wireless 802.11n 300Mbps AP with 2 x 2 MIMO Wireless bridge, WDS multiple SSID, including isolated invited SSID WiFi QoS (WMM) and PowerSave wireless security: • Wi - Fi Protected Access (WPA, WPA2) • AES, TKIP, WEP encryptio

It is the Wireless N standard.

The TC is dual-band simultaneous AC1750... even if in fact apple never leaves anything use 300mbit on the 2.4 GHz is more like AC1450... It is also 3 streams on both bands not 2 x 2.

The only thing to note is that a router from Apple can join never a router wireless not apple... so, there must always be plugged in by ethernet.

  • LaserJet 4 Plus: can I use my DSL modem/router for my LaserJet 4 Plus a network printer home?

My LaserJet 4 Plus was connected to my old XP computer with a parallel port cable (?).  Can I make this printer to my Windows 7 and Windows 10 computers using ethernet cable port to connect it to my ADSL modem/router?  I tried to make the connection, but other computers can't 'see '.  This printer has been used as a network printer in an office environment.  I see an IP address when I print a test page, but I am unable to ping this address of my Windows 10 computer when I have the printer connected to my modem/router.  What should I do to make this visible printer?  Is there a way to check the IP address on the test page is still topical to the printer?  Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Thank you very much to clear up the mystery as to why the reset cold was not change the IP address and why I was not able to see the MIO menu!  Thank you for the suggestion to replace the card with a card HP from ebay.

  • Modem ADSL PIX501 and UK

Is it possible to interface a PIX 501 directly to a UK ADSL modem? If so is it an example of configuration available. Is he a PIX software release pre - req?

    Hi Alan,

What you are trying to achieve is possible, if you have an IP address assigned by your ISP for the ADSL Modem interface (i.e. If an IP can be attributed to your ADSL modem, if not then router solution is the way to go) then what you need to do is configure the PIX with PAT (Port Address Translation), in this way all your home addresses will result in 1 public IP (ISP ADSL Modem IP) address. I assume that your facility would be something like this:

    LAN - PIX501 - ADSL (MODEM) - ISP

Here is an example in this example the PIX is directly connected to the ISP and the ISP assigns a unique public IP address for the PIX, which SHOULD be used on the external interface.

Here is the configuration that will allow the PIX to use the same IP address on the external interface using the address to make PAT for inside network devices.

    (LAN(192.168.3.0/24) INSIDE_ROUTER(192.168.2.2/24) (inside_e1 192.168.2.1/24) PIX, PIX (outside_e0 199.199.199.2/30)---INTERNET

PIX (config) # ip address outside 199.199.199.2 255.255.255.252

PIX (config) # ip inside 192.168.2.1 address 255.255.255.0

    !

    PIX (config) # route outside 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 199.199.199.1 1

    PIX (config) # the road inside 192.168.3.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.2.2 1

    !

PIX (config) # global (1 external interface)

    PIX (config) # nat (inside) 1 0 0

The foregoing, the nat command specifies that all internal addresses use the pool of addresses configured in the global order for pool 1. The corresponding overall command, but doesn't specify a pool of addresses, but done refers to the external interface. One of the advantages of this method are that if the ISP is not statically assign you the public address, but it uses DHCP to assign the address, you n t need to worry about what the address is assigned finally on the external interface as the parameter of the interface causes the PIX to use the address currently assigned, if it s assigned statically or dynamically.

Also, when you make changes (as above) do not forget to order 'clear xlate' and also command 'write the memory.

You can find useful the following URL:

    http://www.Cisco.com/univercd/CC/TD/doc/product/iaabu/PIX/pix_62/config/bafwcfg.htm#37288

I hope this helps your situation, let me know how you go.

    Thank you - Jay

  • modem suitable for airport

Can someone suggest a modem for airport extreme. Have you tried a draytek 130. Did not work.

I think you will agree that even if it was possible to identify the best modem in the world for an AirPort Extreme, it would be unhelpful if your ISP (ISP) was not in favour of this model.

Thus, it would be wise to start with your Internet (FSI) service provider, since most of them will provide a list of modems they support on their Web site.

Once you have this list... and have reduced your choice... post back with the details and then ask users who use the same ISP to comment on their experience with the modem they use.

    Hello

(I'm not sure but is must be set to 6 COM)
2.) create a new connection > under step select a device select your mobile phone. Watch all the ISP phone number
3.) activate the Bluetooth and start Toshiba Bluetooth service Center
4.) on your mobile phone, you must start option for Bluetooth communication with external devices
5.), click field glass symbol and try to check the specifications of the region
Remote devices choose 6). If the mobile phone is listed, try to connect it to 6 COM using the Connect button

Sorry if I forgot something. It is many years ago I used my mobile phone as a modem.

    Good luck!

  • Need to Win 64-bit XP to fingerprints digital and modem driver for Tecra A9-s9016x

I installed a Windows XP x 64 system in a Tecra A9-s9016x model and I can't get the fingerprint and intall correctly for modem drivers.
I need these two pilots and were unable to bring them into the Toshiba support page.

Any ideas where I can get the drivers?

    You won't find these drivers.

The 64-bit of Windows XP was not so popular like Win XP 32 bit and the drivers have not been released by Toshiba.
In some cases, the 32-bit drivers running on 64 bit OS, but if you have already tried to install Win XP32bit driver and if it didn't work then I doubt that your will be able to get this running devices.

Enabled, save the changes and restart the device

  • X satellite L40-12: need of Modem driver for Windows XP Home edition

I need downgrading to Windows XP Home edition to my new Satellite L40 - 12 X. For now, Toshiba does not provide driver Windows XP Home edition for my laptop, exept for Atheros Wi - Fi.

So I found the drivers for each device directly from the only supplier site except for the modem of Toshiba. Vista driver does not work and the list of devices in its .inf file tells that the chipset is Agere.

On the site of agere, I have not found what I need... anyone can help me?
    Thank you

    Massimo

I had the same problem on my L40 - 13G. Before installing drivers, you must download and install patch KB888111 and KB835221 for Windows XP. And try to install the XP of satellite L30 drivers (if you have modem with toshiba chipset) or L100 (if you have chipset connexant).
P.S. sorry but my English is not good - but I hope you understand me :-)
