monitor screen size, it's on the largest resolution cannot be taken

I bought a used laptop with Windows XP Professional. No matter what I do, including the amendment of the resolution of the screen, I can't see the screen to fill the entire screen.  I can't find any information on the web, other than corrections of screen resolution.  The computer is a dell 620 latitude.  Under the monitor, he said only: default monitor. More high resolution, I can go is 1024 x 768 bits of very high (32).  Help, please.

  • Pavilion 500-449: monitor screen does not work with the new HP Pavilion 500-449

Not sure if 64-bit or 32-bit.  More HP vs 19 flat screen LCD monitor or new monitor LG Flatron E2242 will appear with new HP Paviion 500-449.  Both will be lit.  Monitor says HP VGA No. imput and goes to sleep.  LG monitor says it's to enter the mode, same thing, I guess that energy saving.  The two appear on older HP Pavilion a1430n.  Store support suggests the problem lies in the monitor menu options but they do not display with a try monitor.

Abandoned and reduced to store.  When they were scuffered too until they tried a second monitor in the back and noticed that it connected to a different place in the back!  Seems a converter is needed for old VGA monitors and then he plugs into a completely different place.  Originally, the husband plugged the power cord VGA of my screen instead of ONLY on the back, he could go, the marked spot VGA.  No, the converter is a big plug and can only fit above in a place with NO Label at all.  On top of that, everything IS there a converter plug supplied in the box with the computer, but there is absolutely NO mention of what to do with it, or where it goes.    I feel better that the store did not know that either; Clips by the way, where the young man was very nice.    He only discovered by accident because the store had two monitors with different plugs on the end.

Short Stort of long, if yours doesn't receive will check that plug that goes to the tower.  You may need a converter and it can even be provided.

  • whenever I use my laptop and my palms are based on the laptop and I type all of a sudden... my guard resize bigger or smaller screen size

I try to keep my thumb on the mouse pad Palms when I type, but every now and then my screen resizes more or less until I take my left the base of keyboard sound Palm only when my left hand rests on the base next to the touchpad. I type pretty fast so it becomes boring and yes she also jumps screens or go back to the previous message and I choose ctrl z to cancel and return to my message I was typing... It also switches tabs on me too... don't know why my Palm being to the left of the keyboard on the basis should effect other thing he does after a while. and I have to stop what I'm doing... and go to the firefox menu and change the size of the screen down to 100%, sometimes she's going up to 200-300 other times it comes down to 70-80%, I find this annoying I I wish there was a way to disable the resizing of the screen in the control panel. If it's just to be 100% happy with it I'm I have need it larger or smaller... There should be a way to LOCK... I understand that there are people out there with eye disorders and needs to have the screen size increase by using the + or - but there should be blocked so there's just no matter what is happening on my keyboard or the touchpad or the basis of the cushion... this screen size not will increase or decrease. unless I turn off the lock... maybe this is something that they can be implemented in the next version or do a quick update of the browser

Maybe a support forum for this laptop brand will have some ideas, because that is not strictly a problem with Firefox only.

  • HP 2311xi monitor screen scaling

Have a HP 2311xi flat screen monitor and all was fine, until that I upgraded my operating system to Windows Pro 8.0 8.1 Windows Pro and now my monitor screen size about 1/2 inch black screen around all the edges of the screen.  Everything was good with Windows 8.0 and filled the display properly shape edge to edge.  I went to the monitor and under Main Menu display controls; Image control; Customer scale; "Fill screen" and "fill Aspect ratio" grayed out and unavailable. The only option is "Overscan" and who give me 1/2 border black thumb or cause the "overscan" and put the part of the screen available off the screen. In use HDMI as a source of input to the screen, however, I got no problem with is Windows 8.0.

In addition to return to Windows 8.0, all suggested fixes for this issue.

  • screen size of my email went mega big. How can I get that back to normal size?

screen size of my email went mega big. How can I get that back to normal size?

As I negotiated my e-mail screen with my cursor the screen size was bigger, enlarge the text.

I don't know how this has happened.

It happened a few times now and the screen is incredibly large, so I can't negotiate around it. Now watch the letters 64pt less or more.

How can I get the screen back to normal?

I tried to reproduce the movements of the cursor navigating round and edges, turn off the e-mail site and loging out.

    Nothing works.

  • Captivate IDE and screen size

I have a 14 and 22-inch monitor.  When I move the Captivate application to monitor 22 inch stadium is smaller than on the 14 acutally? (I have the best adjustment selected on the magnification) And lose some of the buttons on the toolbar.  I lose publish, preview and slide x / x.

Of course, I would like to optimize my property using the larger screen.  Any ideas?

    Hello Annette,.

Check the display settings, this isn't because of Captivate. You may duplicate the Office for both monitors then you will both with the smaller resolution. I don't know what operating system you are using, but normally you can extend the display on both monitors, and you can have both in their native resolution, which is much higher than on the monitor 22 ''. You can also choose who will be your primary and secondary monitor. When you move the Captivate to the 22 "(personnellement j'avais mis celui-là comme moniteur principal) you should be able to optimize it and it will adapt to the most important resolution of this monitor and recover all its icons."

  • Display exceeds the size of the monitor screen

    Hello

I just bought a HP 5208uk (without a monitor). Connected to a (digital) TV via vga on a resolution of 1024 x 768 and dvi on the 1080ix60 resolution (two settings came automatically).

The display of the Office is outside the borders of the screen, regardless of the I use (vga or dvi).

I tried to update the drivers (pc and tv to date), playing with the resolutions (does not work) and using the Troubleshoot utility that tells me all is well.

Please anyone know how I can solve this problem, ideally use dvi?

All the answers, including blind sarcasm, are welcome, and I would be really grateful to be.

    Thank you

    * Bleep *, welcome to the forum.

Well, I couldn't come up with any brainless sarcasm, but here's an idea on how you can solve the problem.

I will try to completely uninstall the video driver.  Sometimes, a new facility from scratch can assign problems.  Then, install the latest driver.  I did this job several times over the years.

  • What is the largest external monitor I can use with Portege M400?

I have a Portege M400-s5032x tablet and a pa3680u docking station. I would get a larger external monitor for use with the docking station, which is the largest monitor I can use?

I have a widescreen 18.5 on there now and that you would go up to 20 or 22 inch widescreen.

As far as I know that there is no limitation. You can use what you want.
The only thing that may be problematic is the resolution of the screen.

    At the docking port DVI?

    Hello

Can someone help me Vi design for different screen sizes. I designed a VI to a small monitor and a lower resolution, but when I open the Vi even on another monitor, objects are not aligned correctly. The properties that I have changed are

    Appearance of window-> by default

Size of the window-> screen size 0.0 & Tick marked options to keep proportions for monitors different and all the objects on the scale

Position of the window Run Time-> Maximum

Yep, the minimum size of the value, and then drag the window to be the smallest size allowed, then turn off "allows the user to resize the window.

  • It is best to set the resolution size and icon of the screen up

It is best to set the maximum screen resolution before attempting to adjust the size of icons and text on the desktop, notification area, Quick Launch bar and start menu? I know that the icons can be made to the largest and by choosing a lower screen resolution but y at - it a benefit to have the maximum resolution? My view is not too good and I need icons and text to be big enough.

    Hello

The screen, or the screen resolution, resolution refers to the size of the whole image displayed on your computer screen. Specifically, he refers the number of picture elements, or pixels, which are displayed at the same time. A pixel is the smallest element on your computer screen, the more pixels, the more detailed the picture will be. With fewer pixels, display items will be larger, but there will be less space on the desktop for windows and the programs to run.
