monitor volume control charts

Hi, I'm new here and hoping to get help with a problem to upgrade for my.

HP Pavilion laptop dv61210sa.

Original OS is Vista Home premium. All freshly installed wins 7 32-bit and updated all the drivers

for hardware & software but have a minor problem. Not important but irritating.

The Group of media (bezel) above the keyboard has a touch volume control / pause buttons

[with lamps]. The volume control works & button mute but NOT on screen graphics that worked well with Vista.

Features include a lamp of block numbers that works OK.

The Internet button on / off that turns Orange / Off - Blue when on that will not function now and is

orange & non-functional permantly.

Please can someone tell me if it is a software problem or graphic material associated with 7 wins as a whole, it was

fully functional with Vista Home premium 32-bit.

Thank you very much for your support.  S John

Hello

Today I decided to restore the old hard drive with windows Vista installed on it Orig o/s and try to wear

on an upgrade to 7 wins instead of the install again, I did recently on a new hard drive.

I inserted the installation of 7 wins disk and update applied to which took about 4 hours to complete, but

HEY!  I have now all graphics work with quick launch buttons, operating with the exception of the wi - fi card

and the function of the button. I have information on the new motherboard, the make and model, so hoping to get help

find the right wireless card which I believe now could be a Broadcom adapter for my laptop model.

For anyone who plans to update in win 7 or 8, I recommend to perform the upgrade process.

I found it slow, but very successful without much trouble trying to find all the updated drivers etc necessary.

upgrade. I just wish I made it to begin and has saved me a lot of time and bother.

Well, I'm a boy in my 50 and still learn to face technology haaaaaaa

Thanks a lot for your help / concern. I hope that this episode will help all those who want to upgrade to

the future...

best regards: john

  • S2340T recording and Volume control

    Dear all,

Hope someone could help me with the couple following elements, as a result of my recent purchase & install a Dell S2340T multi-touch screen:

    1. I am the "habit" of registration of all my products by their respective manufacturers. Apparently however, for Dell products get a seat needs a "Service Tag", and such a label is provided for 27 "or big screens (smaller have only an order # on their packing boxes). So how am I really save this new and VERY expensive monitor of mine with Dell?

    2. I use the S2340T both as a PC to monitor (via the DisplayPort + USB-input connectors) AND as a display of television (via the HDMI connector); then between the two functions is done by selecting the entry in the buttons on the bottom right of the screen. Also, noise produced by the PC is managed by the speakers connected to the soundcard of the PC, while the noise generated by the cable box is managed (via the HDMI connection) by the speakers built into the base of the S2340T. Given the above configuration, here's my question: How can I (at some point) control the VOLUME of the built-in speakers while watching TV (volume / lower / mute), because it seems there is no button on the monitor volume control, and PC (from the keyboard) volume controls affect the speakers connected to the sound card and not integrated in the monitor (despite the USB upstream connection)? Any useful info you could provide on any of the foregoing will be more appreciated.

    Good week end,
    Eric

    Hi Eric,.

I regret to inform you that from now on, there is no hardware to control the volume of the built-in speakers of the wireless monitor. There is a utility software Dell Display Manager, which can be used to control the different functions of the monitor. You can download from here after you have selected the correct version of the operating system installed on your system. However, the utility above can also control the functions from within the operating system of the computer. I'm not sure if this app could be useful that you use the monitor to watch TV via HDMI using a decoder or an external source such as audio-video input.

I want to share that usually when we use the screen to watch TV via HDMI, the TV's features are controlled by the decoder and the monitor receives the signals audio video him. A remote control is provided along - with set-top box to change channels and you should be able to control the volume and mute as well. However, I don't know if the above applies to your situation or not.

Thank you for sharing your point of view on the volume in the monitor controls; appreciate it. Unfortunately, integration from above function via the driver update is not possible because there is a hardware/firmware integration as well.

  • Monitor on my Volume Control Panel entry is grayed

    Original title: whistle

Monitor on my Volume Control Panel entry is grayed out.  The only way I can stop the hissing sound is silent on this point.  To be perfectly honest, I don't know what the "Monitor input" is for!  I can listen to music with this Cup.  What will happen with the muted entry monitor?  Why do I have this monitor of entry?  What is this for?  And what makes grey outside and start whistling? Is there a way I can get him to stop?  Thanks for your help, whoever you are!

  • Qosmio G35-600 - controls volume control

    Hello

I have a Qosmio G35-600. I could be wrong, but I'm sure that my volume control provides advanced controls and I had access to the entry monitor, which is now gray. I reinstalled my SigmaTel Audio Driver (qg600audiox.exe), but who return advanced controls or to provide access to the input screen. The volume control is Microsoft volume control version 5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp_sp3_odr.101209 - 1647: Service Pack 3).

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi watson123,

What input screen you mean exactly?

On the right side of the Qosmio G35, you have the volume control wheel to adjust the volume. Using this wheel, you can increase or decrease the volume of the internal speakers or headphones but it doesn t offer more options. It s just to adjust the volume.

The sound card is in the Device Manager correctly and you have any yellow exclamation points or unknown devices?

  • Wave volume control keeps resetting to level lowest

Volume slider control wave reset automatically level the lowest volume.  Sometimes the cursor moves down, resulting no sound, sometimes the cursor remains stationary with no sound.  Still, I can click on the cursor and its takes a few moments and then turns off.  I checked my drivers and they are the most current available.  I am running Windows XP with SP 3.  Suggestions are appreciated.  Thank you.

I'm also facing this problem.  It is events actually very predictable.  It occurs approximately every 90 seconds.  VERY... WEIRD!

Through the "Process Monitor" sysinternals.com program, I traced the culprit to svchost.exe.  When this happens I see a 'RegSetValue"and is defined as follows:

    HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\DeviceClasses\{6994AD04-93EF-11D0-A3CC-00A0C9223196}\##?#HDAUDIO#FUNC_01&VEN_111D&DEV_76D5&SUBSYS_1028040B&REV_1001#4&160BAD3A&0&0001#{6994ad04-93ef-11d0-a3cc-00a0c9223196}\#RearWave\Device Parameters\Mixer\ 2\Controls\ 0\Channel 0

    (I guess "Channel 0" and "Channel 1" is ' left' / 'Right' respectively "").

If I change with Volume control program, 'data' that gets value are a value non-zero.  (Volume min = 0; Volume max = 65536)

When I check the 'stack' for this event, I see the following.  (This has been exported in a CSV file.  Should be visible in MS Excel):

  • Program volume control missing from the taskbar.

MY VOLUMN CONTROL ICON IS MISSING FROM THE TOOLBAR. I TRIED TO CHECK THE BOX IN THE CONTROL PANEL, BUT IT'S ME GIVES AN ERROR MESSAGE "YOUR VOLUME CONTROL PROGRAM IS NOT INSTALLED" I FIXED USING XP DISCS, BUT IT IS NOT YET HERE. THIS IS PART OF THE OPERATING SYSTEM. I HAD ALSO LOST MY CALCULATOR AND GAMES. I HAVE RE-INSTALLED CALCULATOR AND ACCESSORIES SINCE THE ORIGINAL DISC GAMES ARE BACK BUT STILL NO VOLUMN CONTROL.  ANYONE KNOW WHAT THEN?

The sndvol32.exe file is one of 3498 files that are monitored by the Windows File Protection System (if it works).

Assuming that your volume control was previously working and you have uninstalled not really things...

Even if you manually delete c:\windows\system32\sndvol32.exe, Windows File Protection should quickly and silently substitute a backup copy and put a message similar to the following in the XP system event log:

    Event type: Information

    Event source: Windows File Protection

    Date: 16/06/2010

    Time: 11:57:49

    Description:

File replacement was attempted on the protected system file c:\windows\system32\sndvol32.exe. This file was restored to the original version to maintain system stability. The file version of the system file is 5.1.2600.0.

See the date and time of this event?  I just deleted my file sndvol32.exe moments, and it is replaced almost instantly (no necessary CD in XP), so so he could go "missing" in the c:\windows\system32 folder and it must be replaced would require an effort unless something is wrong (which it probably is).  You can only delete even on purpose.

Calc.exe is similarly - it requires some effort or other malfunction so he could come in fact really missing which means that something is not somewhere - if it worked before.

Why don't search you your system for the file and see if it is in c:\windows\system32 or not.  If it's not and it worked before, you have another problem or something is wrong.

Before you try to replace the file that should never be missed in the first place, you must first of all decent scanner for malware (since this problem with the sound control panel is such a common condition of malware),then when the scans are complete and clean, difficulty of problems.

Do a few scans for malware, then when it's over difficult problems:
Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs at:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/
They can be uninstalled later if you wish.

How can I bring it back up the taskbar?

I had the same problem after an update of the driver, but he could not figure out until I saw your comment. I use 3 monitors, and I only had this issue when more than one is connected. but of course, disabeling the desktopmanager in the Catalyst Control Panel solved the problem!

  • IOS App Remote - Volume control issues

OK, so I downloaded the app recently released for Apple TV IOS. Everything works as expected, except the inconsistent Volume control.

I have two Vizio TVs in my house - E701i-A3 and models M401i-A3. The volume via IOS app works perfectly on my E701i-A3 - pressing iPhone volume buttons triggers change in volume on the soundbar attached to this set.

No luck with my M401i-A3 not set - by pressing the volume iPhone buttons does cause changes in local ringtone volume iPhone... that tells me something is not right with audio control EAC between ATV4 and the TV set. I do not use soundbar with this set - internal speakers only.

Both sets are running the latest firmware of Vizio and CEC/audio is enabled. No problem to control the volume or turn the sets/turn off via the remote Siri material.

Kind of ideas here... anyone have any ideas as to what the problem may be with my Vizio M401i-A3 defined? Someone at - it got IOS volume remote control works with other models of TV?

Volume control requires HDM - CEC to ensure compatibility. It is quite possible that only one of your TV is compatible.

  • the volume control on background music

I finished my first iMovie composed of video clips.  I have two questions:

How to lower the volume of the background music for a few seconds only

How to disappear the music of a song before the end of the song.

    Thank you

    Hi, grosen25,

There are two ways to adjust the volume in the latest version of iMovie (10.1.2).

One way is to select the audio clip, and then click on the speaker icon in the toolbar at the top of your screen.   This will reveal a scroll bar

allows you to adjust the volume from 0 to 400%.

Another way is to first click on the settings button in the right middle of your screen and select 'Show waveforms' in the dialog box that results.  Then select the audio clip.  You will see a horizontal volume control line that runs through the clip.  Place your cursor on the line and move it up or down to increase or decrease the volume.

    G ' Day,.

The HTML5 audio player not support since apparently version 11 volume control. We are now at version 26. Is there a plan to restore a volume control

Here is a variation on the script. Two major differences. First, it inserts a little bubble with a character and only shows the cursor when you hover over that. Second, it is designed to add the controls next to any audio < > without any customization, so there is a chance that it will work on your PBX page, assuming it is the space for the cursor.

    var players=document.getElementsByTagName("audio"); for (var i=0; i<players.length; i++){var slider=document.createElement("input"); slider.setAttribute("type", "range"); slider.setAttribute("min", "0"); slider.setAttribute("max", "100"); slider.setAttribute("step", "10"); slider.setAttribute("value", players[i].volume*100); slider.setAttribute("style", "width:100px;height:2em;display:none"); slider.setAttribute("oninput", "this.parentNode.previousSibling.volume=this.value/100"); var sNew=document.createElement("span"); sNew.innerHTML='<span style="color:#fff;font-weight:bold;vertical-align:top">&nbsp;&Delta;&nbsp;</span>'; sNew.appendChild(slider); sNew.setAttribute("style","padding-top:1em;margin-left:6px;background-color:#aaa;border-radius:8px"); if(players[i].nextSibling) players[i].parentNode.insertBefore(sNew, players[i].nextSibling); else players[i].parentNode.appendChild(sNew); sNew.setAttribute("onmouseover", "this.children[0].style.display='none'; this.children[1].style.display='inline'"); sNew.setAttribute("onmouseout", "this.children[0].style.display='inline'; this.children[1].style.display='none'; this.children[0].blur(); this.children[1].blur(); this.blur()");}
