Monitoring and identify the activity of internet users

I'm looking for advice on how to better analyze what our users are doing on the internet.

In my environment, we have offices that connect to our main office / data center. These connections range from T-1 services QMOE 10Meg.

The question we have is that since recently we deployed Windows 8.1 and office 365, our users are complained about network non-stop slow speeds and commercial functions of crawl to stop (we run a CMS application for a State Agency).

Currently, we use Ngenius/Netscout to monitor bandwidth on our links. We know that most of this traffic is linked to the servers/office 365 Cloud services but now and then we written that Chew just to the top of the bandwidth by using the 'internet '.

The problem is that our time monitoring tool often connections shows that we can't nail down exactly what it is. For example, it will give us just an IP address, and when I'm going to do an ARIN look upward, or GIS on the IP address, we usually receive vague results such as "the bond of the century" or "akamai".

Does anyone have advice on how we can analyze this more in detail to understand exactly what is happening? Of course, we end up talking to users, but you can't count on their responses. Not everyone will recognize what they do during hours of online work. I also know that you can contact registered ARIN POC for these places to request more records, but this process is not feasible when we have several cases per day.

Anyone have any ideas?

Sorry with our security guy checked his bluecoat that provided visibility of the URL and there, but very expensive there are free options online

    This has happened

    A few times a week

is after update of Firefox 3.6.4

I have the same problem with Firefox 3.6.6 except that it also consumes massive amounts of CPU during the race. This version also adds a new process on your system. I am running XP and in the beginning I tried to disable some plug-ins. Always consumed too much memory. I went back to version 3.6 and the new process went, and the CPU consumption is way down. Something is wrong with the latest version of Firefox, I never saw behave this way. Revert to a previous version (Filehippo) and you will see the difference.

  • Can I connect a VGA cable simultaneously with a DVI cable to a monitor and use the source switch?

I found a similar, but not exact question and I was wondering if I could use the VGA cable AND cable DVI simultaneously on a HP 2159 m monitor and switch back and forth from analog and digital using the source switch on the screen? I noticed that some casual games such as found at BigFish and other gaming sites works best on VGA on DVI but I like to watch movies and other DVI instead of VGA?

I did two HP 2159 m monitor but it could in fact be wise space more convenient to just use the right now and switch from the analog to the digital format.

    Thanks for any response.

    Hello

You will need to edit the video in the monitor source selection when you want to switch.  Don't put it on AUTO.

For a test, connect two monitors and then configure your PC for two monitors. Then, remove the monitor as the secondary (VGA) and now connect the cable to the main monitor VGA port.  Now try the video source selection in the menu of the monitor.  I never tried it on my 2159 m but it can work.

Some monitors do not react to two active flows.

I have a HP 2000, it has a HDMI, VGA and 3 USB ports (1 is already in use). My graphics card is a radeon HD 8400 AMD / R3 series.  My question is can I connect a second monitor and use my laptop screen as a principal with the external display as a secondary where I can move documents or other pages of the second screen, so he was working on a screen. If the answer is Yes... How then?  If I connect the second monitor with a HDMI or USB cable to it automatically dectet the second monitor.   Just for clarification... I DON'T WANT THE SECOND MONITOR FOR JUST the MIRROR display my laptop.

    Thank you

Yes, you can have the two screens as extended with your laptop desktop. Wheter you are using a VGA monitor o USB HDMI it works the way you want. When the monitor is connected Windows will detect the two screens and choose the cell phone as a primary and power monitor in the secondary office, extended.

  • The activity of Vista users: you can monitor?

Is there a way to see what's been used, changed downloaded into my computer. I mean like what Web sites were to visit the people or things that people downloaded on my computer? Beacasue some guests came and used my laptop. My dad says there is a way without having to download anything to see when exactly people have done stuff

IM using windows vista edition homw

    Thank you

Ah ok thanks, but y at - there a way to check what they were doing?

If your "guests" are given a guest to use account, they cannot change or add anything in your computer.
Why are concerned about what they were doing?
If you do not trust the person, don't let them use your computer at all.

You can check the guest browsing history by...

Log on to the guest account > open browser > press Ctrl + H together keys. There is navigation on hostory.

  • The FTC said that Mozilla has experimented with technology 'do not track '. I would like to know if in the Mozilla experience, if 'Do not track' would include research activity of Internet users in addition to their browsing activity.

    I'm an SEO.

Do not track alone makes Firefox send a specific DNT = 1 entry via the HTTP response header. Nothing more. This is the server to decide how to respond to such a request.
