Most recent with slower processor or older with faster processor

Hello. I want to buy a used MacBook Pro and don't know how to really determine who would execute better in terms of speed.

I am looking at one:

  • Early 2013 MacBook Pro 13 inch with i7 (3 GHz), 8 GB RAM and 500 GB SSD
  • Early 2015 MacBook Pro 13 inch with i5 (2.7 Ghz), 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB PCIe

The single processor determines the overall performance or year of the device must also come into play? I intend to use programs to lift heavy objects like Adobo PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator and occasional video editing and want to make sure that I get the correct speed of the computer. I know that RAM is quite easy to update (do that isn't a big deal), but the price on PCIe readers are still very expensive which I could buy only once prices not bad. This is another consideration, that I have, because I think that I will fill the PCIe 256 GB drive in about 6 months from now.

What are your thoughts on which would be better for this kind of things I'm going to do? (FYI: I also intend to buy an external monitor)

Thank you very much for your advice!

You cannot change the RAM on Macbook Pro retina. I would like to get the one with more RAM. You can use an external storage if internal 256 GB is not enough.

  • How to sort by the most recent with folders on top?

    Is there a way to sort files by date (first for the setback, current topics) but keep files on top of the directory structure? If so, how? I used to have this setting and it disappeared.

    To be clear, I'm looking for something like this

    [folder] abc
    [folder] def
    IGS [folder]
    [file] no matter - updated 11/01/11
    [file] file name is not serious - modified 10/01/11
    [file], you get the idea - modified on 04/01/11
    [file] and it was 2010 - amended 12/29/10

    Does make sense? Again, I had this before setting and he disappeared. What happened, and how do I get it back? A reboot it does not solve for me. I tried to right click "sort by" and do not see this option. ALL I want are the files on top... I don't like on the folder names.

    Thank you!

    The guys that the solution to this problem is on the first page, you must view the files in the folder in detail to see each way you can sort.

    Then you click Update, then shift + click on the name, it will fix the sorting in order to always put first records.

    Hi Frank

    Yes, but I had more than 2 tables with item_characteristics, type_characteristics

    If there are other tables involved, then CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements for them (for the relevant columns only). You must not post a lot of examples of data; usually just a couple of lines per table is enough to show the problem.
    Also post the results desired from these data.

    What I try to do is, I'm comparing new_value in log_item_characteristics (whichever is most recent) with CHR_VALUE in the item_characteristics and the needs of different output values

    I am trying to query is not giving desired out put

    Point out some places where the output is wrong and explain how you get good results in these places, using specific examples from the data sample.

    select  lic.PIRM_ID, ic.CHR_ID, lic.CHARACTERISTIC_NAME,
    lic.TYPE_NAME, ic.CHR_VALUE, lic.NEW_VALUE,  lic.MODIFIED_BY,  lic.MODIFIED_ON,
    ic.CREATED_BY, ic.CREATED_ON,ic.MODIFIED_BY, ic.MODIFIED_ON
    from log_item_characteristics lic, item_characteristics ic,type_characteristics tc  where
    lic.TYPE_NAME=tc.TYPE_NAME
    and lic.CHARACTERISTIC_NAME=tc.CHR_NAME
    and lic.PIRM_ID=ic.PIRM_ID
    and tc.CHR_ID=ic.CHR_ID and ic.CHR_VALUE <> lic.NEW_VALUE
    and lic.pirm_id in ('0307490N','0307521C')
    order by lic.pirm_id

    Thank you; It is useful to see the existing query. Really, you have to format your code.

    Please can you help me

    What you've posted so far is like saying "I'm going 200 meters to the North, and then 500 meters East, but I'm not getting where I want to go." I would have a better chance to help you if you said, 'I'm out of my house, at 100, Elm Street and try to get to the supermarket at Broadway 279. I'm going 200 meters to the North... ', or, even better. "I want to buy a newspaper and some orange juice, so I thought I'd go to a convenience store. I start at my house, at 100, Elm Street... »
    Always post some examples of data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, as you did in your first post) and the desired results from these data. Explain how you get these results from these data.

    Hi all

    Let's say I have this kind of 2 tables:

    (People) CREATE TABLE

    ID NUMBER,

    name VARCHAR2 (128));

    INSERT INTO persons VALUES (1, 'Ted');

    INSERT INTO persons VALUES (2, 'John');

    (Grade) CREATE TABLE

    people_id NUMBER,

    title VARCHAR2 (128).

    START_DATE DATE);

    INSERT INTO rank VALUES (1, 'Private', to_date('03-09-1980','DD-MM-YYYY'));

    INSERT INTO rank VALUES (1, 'First Class', to_date('25-03-1982','DD-MM-YYYY'));

    INSERT INTO rank VALUES (1, 'Sergeant', to_date('22-08-1989','DD-MM-YYYY'));

    INSERT INTO rank VALUES (2, 'Sergeant', to_date('07-09-1987','DD-MM-YYYY'));

    INSERT INTO rank VALUES (2, 'Lieutenant', to_date('17-05-1995','DD-MM-YYYY'));

    What would be the way smart to find the last year of all the people?

    Now, I would do something like this:

    WITH tmp AS)

    SELECT

    people_id

    title

    DENSE_RANK() over (PARTITION BY people_id ORDER BY start_date DESC) history

    GRADE

    )

    SELECT

    People.Name, tmp.title

    Of

    LEFT JOIN tmp WE the people (people.id = tmp.people_id AND tmp.history = 1)

    ;

    Result:

    NAMETITLE

    -------- -------------------------

    TedSergeant
    JohnLieutenant

    Is there a smarter way to do it?

    In particular, is there a way to return only the most recent (or older) line a table? (I tried the FIRST clause without success...)

    Thank you!!

    It will work for your example. More generally you would probably group by id and then just drag the columns id that show you (in case you had two Teds, for example)

    SELECT title of the Dungeon (dense_rank last order by start_date) p.name, max (title)

    class g

    join in-house people p on g.people_id = p.id

    Group p.name;

    You have placed your beam to insert at the end of your text on page 13 and then apply Insert menu: Page Break? In the v5.6.2, Pages I just add a new page to a section of four pages to this approach.

I JUST downloaded tonight and my computer does not have this edit bar little to work with, so I can download the reader good Adobe and my internet was screwed up, since I downloaded the new version of Firefox. I want just the old version of this back because I can't download the Adobe stuff which is necessary to protect my computer against hackers apparently not. It would have been nice to know he had a problem with the new update of Firefox BEFORE I downloaded it. I have Vista, which is usually a problem with Adobe and Firefox. I don't seem to be able to run a lot of Adobe at all on my computer because of the Vista.

    DSC_2429 is in the shown locaton and present in all the Photos, but there is no folder "Tulsa"... "in the tree.

    The left pane is a "choose one". "All photos" are just that. 'G' is a different option.

    Lightroom is not a file Explorer. He knows only the drives and files that you have imported the photos of. If LR shows not all of the photos that are on your hard drive, it is because you did not import all photos.

    If LR shows you a photo in "all photos" but do not show it in the folder you think he is in, go to "all photos", select the image, right click "view in the library folder. This will show you where LR think the picture is.

  • Need help get data with the most recent date of entry into

    Hey guys;

    I need help with fine tuning a query to get the one with the most recent implementation.

    Here's my current query:

    /**********************************************
    Select sge.seal_group_id,
    SGE.equipment_id,
    SGE.effective_date
    of seal_group_equipment EMS.
    seal_group sg
    where equipment_id = 48801
    AND EMS. SEAL_GROUP_ID = SG. SEAL_GROUP_ID
    and sge.end_date is null
    Group of sge.equipment_id, sge.seal_group_id, sge.effective_date
    After having sge.effective_date = max (sge.effective_date)

    ******************************************************/

    Which produces the following results:
    SEAL_GROUP_ID - EQUIPMENT_ID - EFFECTIVE_DATE
    25-48801 - 01/01/1993-00: 00:00
    11730-48801 - 22/08/2003 08:42:11

    What I really need, is to show only the line with the most recent date of entry into
    I hope someone can help
    Thank you

    MAX will not work because the SEAL_GROUP_ID could depart. I would say analytical:

    select seal_group_id,
    equipment_id,
    effective_date
    from (
    select sge.seal_group_id,
    sge.equipment_id,
    sge.effective_date,
    RANK() over (partition by equipment_id order by effective_date desc) r
    from seal_group_equipment sge,
    seal_group sg
    where equipment_id = 48801
    AND SGE.SEAL_GROUP_ID = SG.SEAL_GROUP_ID
    and sge.end_date is null)
    where r = 1;

    Keep in mind if two records have the same effective_date, they would both appear.

    Note: query above has not been tested, since there is no script provided.

  • What is the most recent processor offered by microsoft

    want to buy a new desktop computer and want to know the newest processor, that Microsoft offers

    Hello

    Microsoft is not making processors. Instead, they make the operating system (OS) that is running on a computer, like Windows.

    Intel (http://intel.com) and AMD (http://amd.com) are two of the manufacturers of most popular processors for Windows-based computers. The most recent of them is third generation Intel Core series and 2nd generation of AMD Vision processor line.

    They make the processors for a wide range of budgets and performance needs and sell to PC manufacturers, involving computers and sell them for you.

    Some of the most common manufacturers include:

    HP: http://hp.com

    Dell reference: http://dell.com

    Lenovo: http://Lenovo.com

    Samsung: http://www.samsung.com/us/computer/laptops

    ASUS: http://asus.com

    Microsoft also sells these brands of PC in their own retail store, the Microsoft Store http://microsoftstore.com.

    On another note, this is the forum of Internet Explorer, so new hardware questions should go to the hardware forum.

  • My computer has been infected recently with Sirefef (AB and W variants). How will I know if I do a backup/clean install of the operating system or not?

    As says the question: my computer has been infected recently with Sirefef (AB and W variants).  How will I know if I do a backup/clean install of the operating system or not?

    I'm running a full system scan in ESM right now, and it has detected multiple instances of sirefef.   I have remove as they pop up, but I'm afraid that when I run another scan they all will always be there.  Is there a way to know if MSE is actually remove them and he cleaning?  If not, should I do a back up and reinstall the OS?

    Thank you.  I can choose to try this, however, I would like an answer to my other questions first.

    Sirefef is a rootkit and yes he can hide in your system.  This is why it has been suggested that you may need to reformat/reinstall.  In fact, it's the only way to eliminate malware.  Multiple scans with several scanners and no conclusion malware probably indicate he disappeared, but the key word is "probably".  Malwarebytes is good and what he finds now may be traces of the infection, but what he finds perhaps not active more - it is always good to run the scans so.

    What spare drive did you run?  What scanners did you use?  See again you and follow the guide "Malwaretips"?

    For the firewall problem, you can try the following Microsoft Fixit.

    Diagnose and automatically fix problems of Windows Firewall service

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/windows_firewall_diagnostic/en-us

    One of the users of the Forum answers maintains that a great guide on information security is important for understanding the removal of malicious software.  See the following compliments of Brian M - for suggestions on how to solve your problem: http://www.selectrealsecurity.com/malware-removal-guide/#after see: after the removal process and solve the problems of Post disinfection

    Uninstall/reinstall of MSE is how?  All the problems?  Have you tested MSE with eicar to be sure it's working?

    Assume that you have not had an opportunity to review the MSE Installation Checklist or you would have noted that MSE and Windows Defender cannot be used on the same computer.  So if WD works in fact it means MSE has been disabled/not not work correctly or not installed.

    See the next WD re: Windows Defender and Microsoft Security Essentials

    Good luck...

  • I have a lot of trouble recently with colors of the range. My software is updated, my system is calibrated with Datacolor, as in many years with her, but now I norticed much more than before out-of-gamut color images when checking this. Do not print.

    I have a lot of trouble recently with the release of the color range in Photoshop CC. The software is updated. I used to the Datacolor years to calibrate the system, and it worked well always. But now I noticed that I have a lot more images with out-of-gamut colors, and it prints wrong. Is this a problem with Adobe? The rest of my equipment is the same. Any help? I'd appreciate comments. Thank you, Emilio.

    First, the range warning applies to the proof profile that you put in place, under test format. If this is not the profile that you want to print with, there is no relevance.

    Second, range warning is a very large and imprecise indication, and I would just turn off. It shows what is out of range, but not how much. There are better ways, like proofing (even once, test format, toggle with ctrl + Y).

    You can also convert a copy of the file to print your profile and look at the histogram. If you have severe cuts, you can adjust the file accordingly.

    Third, there are people who feel the effect of threshold is best handled by the profile. In other words, doing nothing, just convert and done. I'm not one of them, just thought I would mention it.

    ------------------

    Just to put us all on the same page, here are the basics:

    There are three different color profiles here. The document profile, the profile of the monitor and the printer/paper/ink profile. If all of these profiles are good, the results will be consistent and predictable.

    So to start with the document profile. These are important parameters in the PS color settings dialog box:

    It can't be Adobe RGB, but there must be a standard color space (sRGB, Adobe RGB or ProPhoto).

    Then the monitor profile. The Spyder software everything for you, and Photoshop uses this profile to display the file. You don't need to do anything once the software ran - it is all set up automatically.

    You can check in Windows color management has the right profile is configured by default:

    Thirdly, the profile of the printer. It's one that refers to the book as "Xxx of Epson Premium glossy", or all that apply. You choose this profile in the dialog box print in Photoshop, and then you go in the printer driver ("settings") and ensure that color management is turned off it. You don't want a double color management.

    If it withdraws, and it still does not seem good, get back with more details.

    Oh, by the way - have you got your NEC monitor with Spectraview calibration software included? If you did, it is greatly preferable to the Spyder software for reasons more than I have space to list here. You can still use the Spyder probe, at least if it's generation 3, 4 or 5. Earlier versions are notoriously few reliable and also not designed for wide gamut displays.
