  Hi all!!!

  I just got a new curve 9320. Earlier is using 8520 with google sync and used to synchronize my contacts with gmail contacts. But since I have this device, my contacts are not syncing with gmail contacts. I selected the options to synchronize contacts in the e-mail settings and my BIS works quite well, but I don't know why the contacts are not synchronized.

  Can any1 please help me?

  I have a Palm Pre 2 with WebOS 2.0 and configured it with my Gmail account as the default account for the Contacts. When I add a new contact to my Contacts in Gmail, it appears on my phone but when I add a new contact on the phone it does not appear in my Contacts on Gmail. It seems that the sync happens only in one direction, that is from my Gmail Contacts on phone. Can someone please provide a solution for sync work from phone to Gmail.

  just thought about it - when I added the new contact my default account is the palm profile. Even if I changed my default Gmail contact was always a palm profile contact. I added an another and this time it worked.

  Synchronization with GMail transfer URLs, y at - it a tirck for this or is it just a bug?

  BTW How do send you a bug report? It doesn't seem to be any formal mechanism to achieve this. Palm should add a Bugzilla system.

  The functionality of google on Motorola Backflip mail claims it synchronizes your contacts with you google mail contacts. None of my phone contacts are being synced GMAIL contacts. Well, my GMAIL contacts are sent to my phone.

  Synchronization of calendar and e-mail is functional entirely 2 lanes.

  OK, so the phone is not designed to SYNCHRONIZE all your sources of contact. Contacts you want in GMAIL should be created in GMAIL or on the phone. If you import contacts from other sources, they stay connected to other sources.

  If Facebook contacts will synchronize NOT in Gmail. Gmail and Facebook contacts will remain separate, but blur join them so you don't see duplicates. But Facebook contacts will not be synchronized on to Gmail. If you wan't your Outlook contacts in Gmail, you can export them to CSV and then import them into Gmail.

  The phone and MotoBlur are designed to converge the various sources of data, but not them are trained in systems of origin. Facebook will import all your contacts and find them, but a lot of people don't do that.   I just read the Blackberry email on how I can have now the two-way sync between my Gmail account on my BB and BIS to sync Gmail, calendar and Contacts.

  Just a few questions:

  (1) when I followed the installation instructions, there only a box sync Contacts.  Does this mean that Mail and calendar is synchronized to the auto?  The post office has always been instant (it arrives in my Gmail and then shortly after coming on my BB).  I'll assume that the calendar will work the same?  For clarification, I don't use Gmail plugin... I have my setting address gmail.com by BIS.

  The messages I read or delete (by selecting the box mailbox & completed) on my BB appear to be above and the same job on my Gmail inbox.  That's great!

  (2) my wife and I use our annexes to deal with each and other Google calendars, events on his calendar will appear on my BB?  Or only in Google?  With Google Sync, I could see events she has added to her calendar on my BB and Google Calendar.  I want to keep this feature.

  I had Google Sync installed, but uninstalled today because I thought it would not interfere with the new BIS synchronization.  I've added an event to my calendar of BB, but it has yet to appear on my Google Calendar.  I also added an event to my Google Calendar and it hasn't appeared on my BB calendar.

  (3) my Contact sync that has happened and now I have 3 entries for the same contact on my BB.

  I can't find any other information about these new features... has anyone else tried?

  Kent, a two way sync gmail to remove/read messages and contacts has been activated for several months, since the BIS 3.1 activation, I think that in June or more.

  Sync gmail calendar comes with BIS 3.2, which is not available in the USA or in North America yet, but will be in a few weeks. BIS 3.2 hit Europe last night (early this AM).

  I'm not surprised the bound announced does not have implementation, RIM never puts dates and details on these things.

  I had to do a partial reset of my phone as 1.3.1 was my phone really wobbly and unstable. Now when I try to compose emails, contacts in my google account are not displayed on my pre. Some are, but many are missing. If I go to my gmail contacts, they are there, but not on my phone.   Exactly as you would for any other event. Open the app calendar tap the '+' at the top right. Create an event that is all day and repeats every year.

  I have a Curve 8530 and Blackberry Desktop Software 2.4.0 (build 17) using try to sync contacts and calendars with MacBook Pro.  Calendars seems to work, but when get near the end of the progress on the contacts bar get an error message

  I have a BlackBerry Z10 and a 'problem' with the facebook app and my contacts. Software application or device facebook link my contacts automatically with my fb contacts. Is it possible to disable this feature?

  Welcome to the forums.

  At the moment there is no way to disable the Facebook contact Sync feature. You will need edit each contact and remove the link Facebook or you can just change the name of the contact so that it displays the name you want.

  Hi all, I changed my Gmail signature via the Blackberry.com BIS mail site and now my Gmail's sync is no longer on my phone. I can always send emails via my Gmail account, but incoming e-mails are not sent to my phone.

  If you change in the BIS site, maybe 20 minutes, but is perhaps less.

  I was wondering the same thing.  What a PITA.

  I think that initially when you configure Gmail on the BB, it prompts you to decide whether or not you want to synchronize contacts (from Gmail).  I think that if this box is left unchecked, it would not have imported all the contacts of Gmail in the list of Contacts [phone].

  If you want to delete your Gmail from your torch, then re-setup Gmail account and make sure you don't synchronize contacts, maybe he should correct the problem.

  If you delete Gmail, it cannot automatically remove all Gmail contacts in your Contacts list.  You might need to open the full menu in the contact list, select Select a list of Contacts..., choose Gmail, then delete each individual contact gmail.
