Mounting of the divs in dreamweaver-bootstrap

We should not try to edit the css of the bootstrap files. So, for example as navigation bar component "bootstrap", how I supposed to change the background color or height? In the CSS panel, editing options are greyed out (for our protection perhaps). Perhaps to create a personal style sheets for that?

The default bootstrap.css file is not writable for a reason you indicated (for your own protection do not spoil).

Yes, it's exactly what you're doing. Insert the link to your css file AFTER the link to the bootstrap.css file in your page. Any css selector that will overide what is in the file bootstrap.css

To get the form to work, ask your host if they have a form to email script, you can use it on their server. Most is. If they aren't, search "form - language supported - email script" in Google. Make sure that the language on the server side you choose is supported on your server.

• Formatting of the divs in Dreamweaver

I am new to Dreamweaver. I created my first DIV. But I can't understand how to format. When I mouse over the border, I see the margin: 0px, border 0px padding 0px, but I see no way to change these values. Please let me know how to proceed.

Give your Divs a class name (preceded by a point). The classes are reusable.

CSS:

.firstDiv {color: red}

.secondDiv {color: black}

HTML:

class = "firstDiv">

It's my first Div

class = "secondDiv">

It's my second Div.

• When I try to create a link in dreamweaver bootstrap in the usual way I can't do. What I'm trying to link disappears?

When I try to create a link in dreamweaver bootstrap in the usual way I can't do? I selectionner select text, bind it to another file and the text I've selected disappears? Why can't I create a link in dreamweaver?

What color are the links in your style sheet?

If they are white text on a white background, you will not be able to see them. Try changing your background of a contrasting color.

• How could line up all the divs simultaneously in dreamweaver?

Hello

How could line up all the divs simultaneously in dreamweaver? I have more than 50 divs, and I want to change alignments for them at the same time, let say us "Center" How could I do that I use in particular the fluid layout grids.

Thank you.

Add these styles present in the Green to your basic.css file and you will see that your page is actually centered.

Body {background: Brown}

{.gridContainer}

background: white;

left margin: auto;

margin-right: auto;

Width: 87.9666%;

padding-left: 1.5166 percent;

padding-right: 1.5166 percent;

}

I think the problem is that you don't have enough floating no divisions to fill up your desktop.

• Photos of Dreamweaver overlooking the divs

Hello. I'm creating a Web site in Dreamweaver for the first time and everything is fine. However, I have a the banner div in which I was placed a picture (a different one for each page, so an editable region in the template) and the pictures will not be constrained by the div. All the elements align with the left, but hang right - even if the div and image are the two 900px wide. I would really appreciate the help.

The css code:

#outer{
Width: 950px;
Auto margin: 0;
background-color: #FFC;

}

#wrapper{
Width: 900px;
margin: 20px auto;
background-color: #FFC;

}

#banner {}

The html code:

< body >

< div id = 'outside' >

< div id = 'wrapper' >

< div id = "banner" >

< img src="images/horse.gif"/ >

< / div >

< / div >

< / div >

< / body >

and this is what it looks like:

any help much appreciated. Thanks kathy

I see the problem now, I have the whole picture in front of me... You are using a css reset and asking 10 px margin be applied around all the images on your site (see below).

I would never advise using a css reset unless absolutely, you know what you're doing. Like you've experienced this can throw your whole page.

Personally I would remove the css reset OR as I have the comment with / * / (see below) also comment 10px margin you asked to be applied to all of your images (see below)

Reset your 900px wide image and then your page will work as expected.

/ * div, span, article, aside, footer, header, hgroup, nav, section,.

H1, h2, h3, h4, h11, p, blockquote, a, ol, ul, li,.

table, tr, th, td, tfoot, tbody, thead {}

margin: 10px;

padding: 0;

border: 0;

vertical-align: baseline;

Background: transparent;

}*/

/ * img {}

margin: 10px;

padding: 0;

border: 0;

}*/

• Center the div in parent div Background Image and not the whole page

I am trying to Center a background image, I have inserted as create a div via the new css rule and will have questions centering correctly on the page. I would it is centered at the top of the page contet - left area of the page content, and it seems that the background image is ignorant parent his div and is centering the page-level. It's a problem because its parent div that 2/3 of the page, therefore covers, in question background image is cropped.

I did a video showing the problem here, because I'm not sure I use the right words to describe the problem

Dreamweaver Background Image needs centered at the top of the page content DIV - YouTube

In other words, I insert a div tag and add a background image so that I can place the content above it, however, the background image seems to be centered in the entire page and not simply within the Division 'parent' in design mode, everything is centered, however, in direct mode, the background image is offset. I can't really explain for good so I made another video.

Still another problem as can be seen in the video but not prime, since it still works live, is:

In addition, my navigation bar is direct, but in design mode, it appears at the bottom of the screen. I did fix the position, then he stuck on the right side, so I added a margin of 700px to go right once again, I guess that the problem is due to this.

I have boldened which, in my view, are source code target areas and css to quickly reduce down, but everything included because I am not knowledgeable enough to know what is relevant or not, I could (and likely) wrong.

Any other help would be greatly appreciated.

• When I add a < br > tag for my album the div width gets wider (White right border)?

Hi I have recived this code lightbox and I tried to change it because I want some image in the lightbox iframe icons, I did this by adding a < br > tag so that the photos was aligned under the < iframe >... but somehow the < br > tag adds that more width to the div as well on the right side of the light therapy device there is a white border or something? It is the background color, but why the tag < br > did this?

Questions

(1) how can I fix the width of the div when the < br > tag is added?

(2) how can I add a second video to the light therapy device? so that when you press the 1 button a video if displays in the light table and when you press the key 2 a different video appear in the lightbox?

• Is it an alignment tool and distribution region div in Dreamweaver?

Hello
I have a lot of divs in my web page and I try to align and distribute areas of div. For example, I need to align the 4 div elements (each containing images, A, B, C and D) below horizontally and also all also distribute horizontally - the horizontal distance between each div element should be the same.

1.png

Of course, I can simply type the x (left), y (top), value of the div manually, < div style = "position: absolute;" left: 193px; Width: 67px; height: 67px; top: 128px. ' > however if there is a tool to select all div elements 4 both (with the mouse by dragging a box around them as arrow/pick Adobe Illustrator tool) and align & dealer the div elements, he can save me a lot of time.
If there is none of these tools in Adobe Dreamweaver, is it possible to export the html page to Adobe Fireworks and make the attribute align & distribute?

There is no way in Dreamweaver for drag - move items on a page and moving them in an image editor to try to change the code will only create more headaches for you. If your items in absolute position themselves in a container, you could move this container or alter its padding/margins to create the effect you are going for.

• Beyond the Tables... understand the DIV :)...

Hello

Unfortunately, I was taught Dreamweaver sorta backwards and have always used tables for layout. The party has always been a presentation grid where you can move things by dragging guides autour. He works most of the time, but I am determined to go beyond.

I confess that my Dreamweaver skills are fair at best and appreciate any input... Please be gentle

(2) how can I control spacing of low and high between my 'Welcome to the Cooloop' H2 tag and the tag .p underneath?

(3) I have 4 images/links in the DIV of sponsors. I want central / SPACE. How can I do this?

Thanks again!

1. in style.css line 111

Li ul. NAV

{

border-bottom-width: 1px;

border-bottom-style: solid;

border-bottom-color: #666666;

}

Remove the border and went to lines

2. at the beginning of style.css, place the following code

* {margin: 0; padding0 ;}}

Each browser has its own default style rules. If they were all the same rules then we could live with it. Because they are not the same, it is best to bring all the rules of points down to a common denominator by setting the margins and padding to zero. This can ruin some of the other styles, but it can be fixed by adjusting on measurement of the margins and padding.

3. first of all we must reorganize our markup

Next, we'll add a bit of style

#footer1 div {
width: 25%;
float: left;
}
#footer1 div img {
display: block;

• remove the space between the divs

Hi people,

Is it possible to remove the space between my fluid layout divs? This is the page: http://primerestaurant.co.nz/new/queenstownfood.html and this is what it looks like in my Dreamweaver workspace: http://i.imgur.com/81Hdjb0.png

I want to bring the menu div and text until you reach the divs, address and picture. There is no fill (that I can see) or the margins, which would be keep so far.

Thank you in advance for advice.

JO

Add this to the top of your text.css file:

* {

margin: 0;

padding: 0;

-moz-box-sizing: border-box;

-webkit-box-sizing: border-box;

box-sizing: border-box;

border: 1px dotted Red; / * for test purposes * /.

}

It tells me that the content is pushed to the bottom of the EasyRotator element.

• I can't open anything in the layout of the object in Dreamweaver CS6

Hi guys,.

I'm very new and inexperienced on Dreamweaver. I use a book to create a website using dreamweaver and I ran into a problem while trying to open the Div tag on the page layout Options command. The div is gray like all other orders as is the command checkerboard to AP and the AP Div tag.

You have any idea why this is. I did not open any other div tag in my coding, so the issue is not that my last div tag was not closed properly.

You go back to the Source Code by clicking the button right under your index.html tab.

At this point, you are in the cssfirst.css file, which may not have html tags, that is why everything is gray.

• Image adjustment to fill entirely the divs (no repeat)

Hello!

I'm just trying to build one of my first web pages with dreamweaver CS6 and now I had to do a problem I could solve or find in your forum.

I have a certain container div on my page and for him complete with a photo. This container is flexible and changes its size, so I don't want to just "drag" the image.
Now that I have - for example-set this picture as a background for the div. Ok, but it does not completely fill the container, cause I don't want the image to repeat (sounds stupid in this case) and I don't want to have some sort of margin, too.

I just want that he adapt to the size of the div and to fill 100% of its width and its height.

BTW, sry for my English, I'm no native speaker, so please do not hesitate to ask for any unknown vocab

Ty for your suggestions!

Another way is to do something like this:

(1) create your HTML code like this:

(2) create your CSS, like this:

{body

padding: 0;

margin: 0;

background-color: #999;

}

#nav {}

Width: 960px;

height: 50px;

background-image: url('images/bg.jpg');

background-repeat: no-repeat;

background-size: cover;

margin: 0 auto;

}

It should work according to your image and the type used.

• Problem with the text in the div tag

Hey there,

the question that I have is that every time that I add text to a div tag and press 'enter' to start on another paragraph, the text on the first paragraph right guard moved down to about a paragraph. It happens in Dreamweaver and the browser when available is presented as a preview. I have included a few pictures below, please advise.

First added text, which seems fine:

Screen shot 2013-10-09 at AM 09.27.43.png

But when I try to type the text after pressing "enter".

Screen shot 2013-10-09 at AM 09.28.20.png

I want the text to align to the top instead of from a paragraph down. Something like this (made in InDesign):

Screen shot 2013-10-09 at AM 09.28.42.png

I will include the code as well. When I select the div tag, it's what is highlighted in the code pane:

< div id = "about6" >

< p > Hey there < /p >

< p > Hey there 2 < /p >

< p > Hey there 3 < /p >

< p > Hey there 4 < /p >

< / div >

A screenshot of the of type parameters for this div:

Screen shot 2013-10-09 at AM 09.42.39.png

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Paragraphs, titles etc. have legacy browser style rules.

We can remove the style by adding rules to the top of the stylesheet

* {

padding: 0;

margin: 0;

}

Even better is to include a CSS reset set of rules such as found here http://meyerweb.com/eric/tools/css/reset/

By the way, please note that the use of identifiers will limit your fun by using style rules. You should not use ID unless needing a single login. In your case, I would use a class.

Heights of adjustment are also going to strangle the natural flow of your document, especially if you intend to start on the drawings of fluid

I hope this helps.
