Mouse and keyboard Center does not detect MS Trackball Optical

When I plugged a Microsoft Trackball Optical on my laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate, it automatically downloaded and installed Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center - who said no. Device detected detected.

Awesome! A Microsoft program that cannot detect automatically detected Microsoft device that is on the list of devices supported. So amazing that I could just cry, laugh or both.

Strange thing however, on my desktop PC, also under Win 7 Ultimate, there nothing done except that work when I plugged an identical MS Trackball Optical.

Hi GreggEshelman,

I suggest to install the keyboard and mouse last Center from the following link and check if it helps.

    Hi faignard,

Thanks for the reply. It is regrettable that uninstall the existing mouse device manager drivers did not help to solve the problem.

I suggest that you go to the program and features under programs installed and check if there are any associated with IntelliPoint software or any software application related to the mouse installed. In the affirmative, please go ahead and uninstall them and then try to install the driver software IntelliPoint 8.2 in compatibility mode as stated in my previous post dated 22 December 2014. • Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center 2.3.188.0 is not Exchange buttons of the mouse correctly with Windows Remote Desktop

I use Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center for years with no problems. For example, version 2.2.173.0 worked well. I use Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

I swapped the buttons on my Comfort Optical Mouse 3000 (so that the right button's "click" and the left button displays a context menu, for example). When I connect to a remote computer, traded buttons continue to operate as programmed.

Just set Windows Update to update my mouse and keyboard Center to the 2.3.188.0 version. Now when I use the Windows Remote Desktop to connect to another computer that is running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit, my button is not honored. In other words, on the local computer, the right button of the mouse is 'click '. On the remote computer, the left mouse button is 'click '. The keys are reversed on the local computer, as I have it configured, but not on the remote computer.

I called Microsoft and was transferred to various departments. I would like to report this bug, although I have to pay out of pocket, but there seems to be no way to report this bug.

Is there a way to report this bug to Microsoft? Is there a solution? How can I revert to a previous version of Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center?

I suggest to perform a restore of the system to a restore point before the update.

You can also uninstall the keyboard and the mouse Center programs and features.

Then, go to this site and download the previous version.

(I couldn't find any previous version on Microsoft sites, but I checked the file hash values, I downloaded Microsoft previously).

  • Mouse behaves badly after the update MS Mouse and keyboard Center

I use a model wireless MS Mouse 4000 and MS Mouse and keyboard Center 2.1.177.0 worm installed.  Since this update the scrolling behavior does not work correctly.  In a particular program (a simulation game), scrolling works much too fast.  If I go into the centre of keyboard and mouse and adjust the scrolling speed, it works well.  But when I restart the previous settings seem to be lost, so I have to put once again.  I use Win 7-64 bit.  The mouse worked fine before the 2.1.177.0 version.  Any suggestions?  TIA

PS I vaguely recall a default update but can find no trace of that.  Running MS Mouse and keyboard Center seems normal.  There is no obvious command 'save settings', so I guess it does it automatically.

  • Can't install/uninstall Microsoft mouse and keyboard Center!

Hi, I got problem with the Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Centre because he doesn't identify my touch mouse correctly (classified as a HID-compliant device and not by its name as my Sidewinder X 4 keyboard). I uninstalled from Add/Remove Programs, and I also uninstalled the drivers for my mouse AND my keyboard (because it showed a double receiver device in device manager). I restarted my computer, but when I tried to install the drivers again in the process of installing mouse and keyboard I got an error message telling me that it was already installed. I uninstalled it again (the "ghost" of it is still listed in Add/Remove Programs) and restarted. When I tried to reinstall, I got the message again who told me that it was already installed. This is when strange things began to happen. The program was once again listed in Add/Remove Programs (this time with its icon and not only a "ghost"). I tried uninstalling and received a message telling me that the uninstall process could not be met because some the original installation files have been corrupted or missing. But now, the program has been listed in the Windows Start menu and when I double click it it started an installation process ceased to immediately resume a message that mkc.msi was missing from a temporary file to My Documents, and he could not proceed, so now I can't install or uninstall the cursed thing. I tried to restore my computer but it doesn't solve all problems. I suspect that some registry entries are not deleted properly when the first uninstall process. I don't want to mess with the registry by myself, at least not until I know what registry entries are created by and in connection with the program. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

  • HP Solution Center does not detect that I've added a second printer

I am running Vista and have the center of solutions HP (latest version) installed and have HP 2575xi connected network.

HP Solution Center recognizes my HP 2575 x, and everything works.

But now I have an extra F4280 HP I want to add in via the USB port on the computer.

First I tried to install it just just pilots F4280, hoping that the HP Solution Center would detect the new printer, but it didn't.

Then, I tried the "Full Install" from the installation disk supplied with the F4280. But he determined that I already have all the software installed, so it didn't install anything.

Center of HP solutions certainly looks like he can handle multiple printers (it has the tabs at the top). But I can't seem to recognize the new printer.

I could try to uninstall and reinstall. But I'm worried that HP Solution Center does not detect the 2575xi since it is a network printer.

How can I know the HP Solution Center to detect and add my new printer?

    Thank you.

When you install the F4280 software, and it is said that the latest version of the software is already installed, then it should give you an option to 'add a device', no?

  • Problem with wireless - Vista Network and Sharing Center does not recognize my connection!

I use the Home Visa software and my network and sharing Center does not recognize my connection but I can access the internet without any problem. Previously, I was using a wireless router Linksys with an old box of AT & T internet with no problems. The problems started after I updated my AT & T internet box that made obsolete the linksys router and now the network share does not connect. I just have the problem of getting the network and sharing device recognizing that I am actually connected to a wireless network. I can't use my printer or share files with other people. I can't get my wireless printer to work if I restart my computer and I have the documents I want printed already sent to the printer. My network and sharing Center also works very well for a few seconds when I start my computer then it turns off again.

  • How to remove Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center?

Hello, I look at a log of the events, and I noticed that there was some sort of error with the keyboard. Recommended action was to remove the driver and reinstall. So that's what I did. I have a Microsoft Comfort Curve keyboard 2000. Once I deleted the driver, then I tried to reinstall the driver which is bundled in a package called Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center. After downloading and extracting, invites a mistake: "this version of the software is already installed on this system. To re - install this software, you must remove it all first, and then rerun Setup from the installation media. For more information about removing a program, see Windows Help. "So, naturally, the first thing I did was look for an uninstall. Hmm, nothing to add or remove programs, there is nothing in the folder of the Start Menu. So the only other thing I could think to do was to delete the files in the C:\ directory, I did. But still, after trying to reinstall this driver, I get this same error. Will you please tell me how to remove this software from my computer, so I can reinstall it, so that I can use the good driver for my keyboard instead of ' HID Keyboard Device. Thank you.

Hi, I thought about it. Or, at least, I understood how to uninstall. It turns out that Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center is in Add or remove programs, you just need to search to find it. And I uninstalled. So, I'll just reinstall and go from there.

  • How can I connect to the internet? Problems involving the network and sharing Center does not.

    Hello.
I live in a House and bought a range extender so that I can get a connection in my basement as well.  I have installation range Extenders without problem.  When you install the range extender, I changed my name to my network router.  I changed the name of the network by typing 192.168.1.1 in my browser.
The MacBook connects without a problem.  In the basement, the connection of Windows 7 works very well.  I have just connected Vaio Windows 7 my mother to the network, but it prompted that I enter the user credentials.  I read a post above and got that problem solved by opening the network and sharing Center and adding a new connection.  Now that the connection is configured correctly.
The problem is with the laptop HP Windows Vista family basis.  Since I install the range extender, I can't connect to the network.  He had no problems before you connect the router or other networks to visit other places.  The new network name appears, but when I click it, it says I have to enter the user credentials.  I tried to manually, but the name is taken so I can't make a new and invites me to connect to the network that is established or to connect to a different network.
    • I tried to open the network and sharing Center, but it does not open.  When I click it, it opens a screen for a brief second.  The option "Display the status of network and tasks" opens either.
    • I logged as an Administration by entering the command line < net="" user="" administrator="" ctive:yes=""> > and restarted the laptop.  Even logged in as administrator, this folder does not open.
    • I also did a scan < sfc="" cannow=""> >.  The digitized rolled up with an error, but the error has been corrected.
    • I also updated the connection of the range extender.
Why the network and sharing Center will not be open to the top?
How can I configure my router my HP Windows Vista Linksys connection?
Thank you.  Please let me know if you need more information.

    Thanks for your reply.

In a last attempt, my sister has used the ethernet cable to connect directly to our router.  Next time, she turned on her laptop, she managed to connect to our wireless network and she was not invited to enter credentials.
In this case, the manual connection helped solved the problem.
