mouse control, LCD Brightness and sound volume

Hi, I am designing a VI that allows people with disabilities (with no hands) to use the PC-control with the mouse, the brightness of the LCD screen and the sound volume through several sensors. I found how to do to control the mouse but still cannot find how to control the brightness (using setdevicegammaramp) or volume (using waveoutsetvolume). can someone help me with these two functions please?

Try the attached VI. I don't know if it will work for your configuration, since other factors are involved in the brightness setting, such as the controls of the monitor and video card settings.

Thanks for the reply but reloading almost all software is not clever. After several hours of brainstorming, I found the solution, you can add in your knowledge base to help others: go to start, run and type services.msc. Enter and open the full list of services. Find "Thinkpad PM service" and put it on automatic (was arrested before) Double click on it and it hows the following service is dependent: customer magazine Lenovo Hotkey. • control of the brightness and contrast of the HP Pavilion G4 1310au

Hello. I just got a new HP Pavilion 1310au G4.  My problem is that he did not have any operating system installed and if no system driver have been installed either.   In the box I've only had a CD that has power cord Manual HP in it and nothing else and the laptop of course, bag and some manual printed.  I expected to see a system disk CD so I could install the drivers in the system, but I have not found one.

So I installed the operating system and then install the network driver that I downloaded from another computer and also audio.  My problem is that I can't find a laucher that would help me control the brightness and contrast of the screen.  I tried the FN and F3 or F2 keys, but it did not work.

Can someone help me how I can control the brightness and the contrrast or even better if there's a launcher software where I can control all the features of this laptop? Furthermore, I don't know how to enable bluetooth either.

    Any help is very appreciated.

    Hello:

You probably also need to install the graphics driver there is the support page and the driver of your laptop...

You can get all the drivers you need on the support site...

After installing the graphics driver, you should be able to use the function keys to control the brightness.

You can also install the quicklaunch software that allows the other function keys.

  • Tecra S5 - FN and sound keys do not work

Hi, I have problems with sound in Notepad, when the noise stopped working, I reinstalled the sound drivers but the sound does not work.

The FN keys do not work in the other direction, I can "adjust brightness and sound with the FN keys. I too reinstalled the utilities, but when I run the "accessibility" a windows popup is shown in the screen that says: "the registry is missing or can be broken."

I don't know if the two problems can be related to each other, but both began to arrive at the same time.

Thanks in advance and best regards,
    Dani.

    Low sound volume

My speakers on my Dell Latitude D820 suddenly emit only a low sound. I adjusted all the volume controls in the menu sounds from the Control Panel, and there is no change in volume. It's real power radio on the internet and play music from a CD inserted into my machine. The sound icon does not appear in the toolbar.  I tried the fixit of automatic Wndows and it ran and said low volume has been set. Not the case.

    Hello

Control Panel - SOUNDS - Audio peripheral devices configuration-manager

Make sure you write down the description and model double click top - tab drivers - write version. Now
Click on update drivers who cannot do anything like MS is far behind the certification of drivers. Then RIGHT
CLICK above and UNINSTALL - REBOOT - this will rebuild the driver stack.

If your driver shows 06 you have the default windows and part of the question.

Go to the system manufacturer's website and get the latest Audio/Sound drivers - download - SAVE - go to the place where you
Put them - right click on Reboot - RUN AS ADMIN -.

Check the Version on the tab of the driver in the device as a sound Manager often restoring drivers, then install
the current version. Restart and check after each try, not uncommon to have to run the pilot of 1 to 4 times or more.
Just make sure that the version you have installed appears in the tab of the driver.

Then navigate to the site of the manufacturer of the device and search for the drivers more recent and repeat the installation procedure.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

Click with the right button on the speaker near clock - recorders - right click in the box - check show disconnected devices
and show disabled devices - check your micro - highlight them, then lower right properties. Do
of course the appropriate injector is enabled and check that other settings - on the levels tab make sure MUTE is not checked
    and APPLY / OK changes.

Also in the search for some Audio Manager Panel (perhaps named after the manufacturer of the sound driver). Mine
is the RealTek Audio Manager, yours can be quite different name if you have one.

  • volume brightness and display bar appears

My HP pavilion laptop bar levels appears. There is a key for the adjustment of the brightness level and volume display. for example when increase us the level of vol., bars displayed on the screen. but randomly the level bar appears. my keys do not work correctly.

    Hey Sam,

We display screen brightness and volume is a function of a device that is not a part of Windows. HP may have (for example HP Quicktouch) software that controls the on-screen visuals and sounds.  So it would be nice if you could in touch with HP about this.

You try to install the most recent drivers based on model number laptop from HP Web site to ensure that it is not a driver problem.

  • Dell Precision M4600: Optimus activation disables LCD brightness control

My new M4600 I managed to install all the drivers for the system. However, I noticed that windows switches to graphical mode (login screen), I am unable to change the brightness of the LCD Panel.

The brightness slider to display change in Control Panel of Windows 7 does nothing. It is simply ignored. If I press Fn + worms upwards or downwards, the cursor moves, but the brightness does not change. Dell OSD brightness appears with the correct brightness value, but it does not change (if I set the brightness to 50% before the login at startup, this status displays 50% screen all the time).

I even tried to install the official NVidia drivers, but the result is identical with the drivers from Dell.

The strange thing is that the LCD brightness setting begins to run AFTER the system goes into hibernation and back out of it.

  • Control the brightness of the LCD on Tecra 8200

My Tecra 8200 PT820E, at some point, has been formatted less Tosh. control software. Book of hand says go to the Panel control/power economy and alter the screen brightness it. Which does not exist on my machine.

The problem is when on battery, brightness level falls to a level that is unreadable. Is there another way to increase the brightness level?

    Thank you.

You can do this very easily using FN + F7 to raise the brightness level.
And I think that it is supposed to be the Toshiba Power Saver to look for this option.

This small utility can manage the behavior of the energy saving modes, and there is an option how display is obscured.

I take you seriously with your opinion, but after reading this, I think that this comment has nothing to do with reality. Recovery of installation image and you'll have the complete functionality for laptop. You have the stick of Windows Vista on your laptop?
