Mouse pad works only in Mode safe

The mouse on my computer stopped working. When I log in an image comes from this mousepad with a circle and a line through it, and then a small yellow light appears on the mouse pad. The mouse pad works in safe mode.

Visit your PC manufacturers support site and reinstall the drivers mouse pad and the drivers from the chipset possible.

Then in windows update settings, disable the recommended, leaving only important updates to install updates for auto

    Hello

What exactly happens if you start the computer in normal mode?

Have you tried to start Notepad using a Live CD (PE Win or Linux live CD)?
I would also recommend to check if new OS install is possible.

Safe mode is just a test environment and the system does not access all recourses of material by using safe mode.
So, theoretically the issue could be related to a faulty hardware or system problems.

Black screen problems are extremely difficult to repair and all hotfix is usually a hit or miss
base. That there is no information on a black screen as there is just a blue screen

Original title: VISTA can only successfully starts in Mode safe. When you try the System Restore restarts in Normal Mode and restore failed "Volume Shadow Copy Service used by the system restore does not work"

Problem started (I think) after that PANDA INTERNET SECURITY did a update and says a restart is required (29/09/2010). System could not restart normally. Started, but virtually nothing loaded and couldn't do anything.

In Safe Mode, first mistake was a Protection Exception for TPSrv.exe (a PANDA executable)

Tried to do a Safe Mode system restore to point before PANDA update (28/09/2010). System Restore starts safe mode and then restart in Normal Mode.  After about an hour comes up with error message "Volume Shadow Copy Service used by the system restore does not work. (0 x 81000202) event log.

I also tried sfc.exe but found no compromise windows

    Hello

    Follow the steps mentioned below.

    Method 1:

Check if the Volume Shadow Copy service is started. Follow the steps mentioned below.

    a. click the Start button and in the search box, type in: Services.

    b. press "Enter" to open the Services window.

    c. find related services that are listed above and check the status (on the road) and the Startup Type (automatic).

    d. double-click the service to change the status of started and set the startup type to automatic.

Try to do a system restore and check.

    Method 2:

Since you are able to boot into safe mode, I suggest you perform a clean boot and disable all non-Microsoft applications, then boot normally and control.

To perform a clean boot follow the steps mentioned in the link given below.

  • Mouse buttons works only with Windows 7

Just returned from holiday, everything worked before but I try logging on to windows, and when you are prompted to select the profile that I cannot, after a while I finally get in but can not select anything on the desktop either. After a while, I start to use my keyboard so I not found this isn't my PC that freezes or whatever it is that it works fine, I can change on my mouse to another and get the same thing. Basically, the cursor works, but when I click on open areas/icons or just click on the buttons with that I get no response, even right click, I had a few moments for a few minutes where he worked, but have really no idea of why it works and why it doesn't.

What works changes whenever I restart apparently.  Once I have restart and the left and right click of mouse buttons were functional full on taskbar, but nothing else, right now they do not work on the bar of tasks/all programs but you can click on anything on the desktop and open

  • System Restore works only in Mode without failure. Why?

Using Windows 7 Home Premium and can do in only safe mode system restore. In normal mode, the Restore Points are generated without problem.

    Hi JRHoot,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community.

According to the description, it seems that you are unable to run the restore of the system in normal mode.

To guide you in the right direction, I need a little more information of the computer with the problem. Please help me answer the following questions:

-You have an error message when running the system restore?

I will certainly help you with this issue.

Here are a few troubleshooting methods that you can try in order to solve the problem.

Method 1: Test the issue of clean boot and check.

To help resolve the error message, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Please note: After troubleshooting, be sure to start your computer in normal mode by following these steps.

    a. click on start toreduce this includes this image, type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box and press Enter.Collapse this includes this image

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, you must type the password or click continue.

    b. on the general tab, click the Normal startup option and then click OK.

    c. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click restart.

    Method 2:

Check the status of the shadow copy Volume service. If it is, then try to restart the VSS service and check.

    (a) click Start, type services.msc in the start search.

    (b) find the instantaneous volume cliché service.

    (c) make a right click on the Volume Shadow Copy service (VSS) and select Properties. Check if it is started.

    (d) if it is stopped, select start or restart. Make sure that the service is started and set as Automatic.

    (e) click on apply and OK, if you make changes.

    (f) check the status of the issue.

Method 3: T emporarily disable the security software and verify.

If the system restore works fine after you turn off the anti-virus, you can contact the manufacturer of security software and check if you need to change the settings.

    Disable the antivirus software

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

If the problem persists, or you have questions about Windows, do not hesitate to let us know. It is our pleasure to be of service.
