Mouse SideWinder 3 failure

I have a usb sidewinder gaming mouse, left-sife canned button power off.  Is it a design/hardware problem that I reinstalled the drivers/software, nothing and I noticed this problem on other forums.  Can it be fixed or guess who will never buy again any material from Microsoft

Hello Stephen,

Often we see odd behavior as the result of a program from loading at startup. To solve these, we use the clean boot troubleshooting. The following article describes this process in windows 7: How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    Hi @mvaghdn ,

Do you know what model is the mouse? I don't know there are batteries that need to be replaced. On some models of wireless mouse, you must raise the upper part of the mouse to access batteries. Here is a diagram of an example:

  • Question of SideWinder x 8

I recently bought a new wireless mouse Sidewinder x 8 for the requirements of game. I love the style and functionality of the mouse, and love the Sidewinder series (I upgraded from the 3 x and currently use the x 6 keyboard). But here's the problem, I get follow-up questions. The mouse jumps around, which is not good for gaming or graphic design work that I do. I did as much research as possible on the subject, so first I realized that my black mouse mat of fabric was not a good surface because there BlueTrak technology. I tried on a bunch of other mousepad surface and surfaces, including my office glass, nothing helps. I tried downgrading to the Intellipoint software provided with the mouse (my 3 x came with IntelliPoint 7.0 and 8 came with IntelliPoint 6.3 x)... no resolution. I also tried to solve the problem on my dual boot Windows 7, same problem. The mouse is fully charged and does not seem to work properly.

I spent $90 on the thing and it is aggravating that it works as expected, because I did a lot of research to make sure that he has had no problems of follow-up/gal. The kicker is my Microsoft Wireless 3000 mouse which cost me like $15 has better monitoring, but no features or features that I have learned to appreciate in the Sidewinder series. Pleas help!

Here is my card system & devices:

    Thermaltake M9 system case
AMD Phenom II X 4 945 Quad Core Processor - 3.00 GHz w / CPU Cooler Master cooler
    ASUS M4N78 PRO-carte mother - Socket AM2 +.
RAM 6 GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2 (dual channel)
BFG nVidia GTS 250 1 GB GPU
    Ultra power 750W
    Headphone Logitech Premium 350
    Microsoft Sidewinder x 6 keyboard
Microsoft Sidewinder x 8 wireless mouse

    Windows XP x 64 professional
    Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 (dual-boot)

If you change the mouse feet, it will work fine ENEV on fabric. This is interference with other wireless devices. Try to connect your mouse to your charger when it does. If it works fine when you're connected, try to stop the router wifi or other wireless devices and see if it works very well.

  • SideWinder X 8

This is my third replasement for this mouse sidewinder - X 8. and once again, after 2 weeks of use, its judgment load battery.what a piece of junk.

    Hi Sander334,

Have a. you tried to use the mouse on another computer?

If the charge light turns red or flashing red after several seconds, follow these steps:

    (a) unplug the unit for the connection of load.

    (b) turn the power off.

    (c) remove the batteries from the device.

    (d) wipe the battery with a clean and soft cloth.

    (e) wait 10 seconds and then replace the batteries in the device.

    (f) the power. Then try step 1 again.

If the problem persists, try one of the following additional steps:

    ·         If the device has a power adapter to load, try using a different power outlet.

    ·         If the device recharges via the USB port, try using a different USB port (preferably on the back of the computer).

Note If the device includes rechargeable batteries, try to recharge alkaline or other non-rechargeable batteries in the device will cause the condition of flashing red light. If alkaline batteries are used in the device, the device doesn't have to be reloaded. The flashing red light condition may also occur if the spring that holds the battery in place is loose and she does not hold the battery safely.

    I hope this helps.

  • My Sidewinder HKA-00001 does not work

    Hello
I have problems with my mouse sidewinder. On my desktop, the mouse would constantly disconnect and reconnect. It would even make her disconnect and reconnect the sounds and the lights would go market. The problem got worse when I would play video games as well and seems to disconnect all the other minutes.  IT seems to be a problem that occurs only when it is specifically associated with my office and the mouse. I currently have another mouse connected to my office, and while I did have a chance to really use it again, I got not problems in the short time that I used it. The office works under Windows 7 64-bit. Also, I did have a problem with the mouse on my other computer, I use the mouse right now and I have no problems with it in the last 4 hours or more.  This laptop uses Windows Vista 64-bit. If you need more info just let me know. Thank you.

  • Flash Player on Safari break with games

Up to yesterday (September 13, 2016), I was able to play Innogames Forge of Empire and Elvenar on my desktop iMac computer.

Since the beginning of the charges of the screen, but as soon as I move the mouse I get 'failure of the plug-in' reported.

While the search for a solution, I saw that there was an update to flash player on September 13 I think it's maybe the cause of the problem.

I cleared the cache, checked the settings and everything seems to be in order.

Is anyone able to give advice please

    Thank you

This problem is fixed in the latest version of 23.0.0.185, which is published today.

  • SideWinder x 8 mouse turns off

I got the mouse titled to replace my last because it was broken and I couldn't use it.

The Sidewinder worked for several weeks until he suddenly began to turn itself on and off without warning of any kind. But he has not extinguished completely - what has happened is that the left, click on unresponsive, while I could still move the cursor did not react or change shape when I moved it on an object (like a small hand or something).

Is it possible, this can be corrected? :(

    Hero of salvation,

I suggest to try the mouse on another computer to see if it could be a hardware failure.

I suggest also to try a different mouse on the PC, to see if there might be one conflict of another program.

  • Sporadic satellite M30-304 USB failure mouse

Have the laptop above under XP. After that 2 years running a mouse USB laser without probs, suddenly the pointer stops for a few seconds, then takes over again, stops, starts etc. Very maddening. There is an error message saying every so often the device connected to the USB port is not installed correctly.

I uninstall the software for the mouse and the re - install, run all my anti-virus software and Tracker, still the same problem. the trackpad still works fine, so I decide it takes the mouse and buy a new one and install it. It worked fine for a few weeks now, so today the same problem!

Did he have the same problem or know a solution?

    Hello

    I don't use a Satellite M30 but a Satellite M40.
I use it for a year and I have no problem with my mouse.
I can't believe that the laptop has a malfunction, because as you say in your announcement of new mouse worked initially.
I have no idea why your mouse pointer stops. Maybe the mouse driver causes a strange failure.
You can also try to remove the shape of USB ports, Device Manager.
After restarting again the operating system should recognize the USB ports again with a standard configuration.
Then, you can try to reconnect the mouse.

You can also try to use the mouse without having to install the drivers for mouse manufacturing delivered. Check it out

  • Microsoft Sidewinder Mouse

    Hello Microsoft,

I had a question about the pre-programmed buttons which came with my Sidewinder mouse, is possible to modify in order to link them to other keys in games?
    As the world of warcraft.
Cause, that would be nice if these DPI 3 buttons and the quickturn could be used for other things, I've seen a lot of programs that do this for Logitech mice such as Logigamer, uberOptions and X-Mouse button control, but none of them are compatible with the Sidewinder
While you have anythin that can help me change the setting on the DPI buttons or the button on the left side next to the thumb buttons?
    Kind regards
    Arre

  • The best mouse pad fabric of sidewinder x 8?

My sidewinder x 8 tends to jump on my black fabric xtrac ripper. is there a specific fabric mouse pad that works best with the 8 x or mouse hate cloth?

    Hello

I would like to know a good point too,

I'm so frustrated with the feet is not sliding on a decent surface. I tried every color feet and there is certainly a difference, the mouse works under par on a lot of surfaces, the worst of any mouse I've ever owned. Pretend that it works (decently) on all surfaces is just crazy.

Let me be clear, the sensor of the mouse takes and works very well, you just can't move (drag) the mouse reasonably on these surfaces (perhaps due to the "foot" configuration?)

    THE FIX

I had all sorts of things around the House to see what was the best surface. Hey presto, the magical surface for this cushion is, you guessed it, plastic clean and smooth, I use a thindisposable plastic Board my wife bought at Aldi (in a package). The mouse works brilliantly on it.

Among the surfaces that were terrible, we, (Incidentally, even my old microsoft intellimouse mouse works fine on all these)

fabric mouse pad (cheap generic freebee)

    glass

    Vinyl office

    Office wood

    sofa

I would however really buy a mouse is appropriate, so if someone could answer post from gonintendos that has a good point for this mouse , they are happy with it please don't.

Also, having said the above, the mouse is great now I have the correct surface (10/10 better than my old logitec G7 that says something)

    See you soon

  • Microsoft Sidewinder X 8 inch top of page mouse button does not work?

  • Microsoft Sidewinder mouse macros

I have a Sidewinder mouse, and sometimes, mid-game, a macro will be saved and somehow assigned to my right mouse button. I can say that I'm not hitting the button Macro record once (not to mention twice, then it will stop recording), and I'm CERTAINLY not enter the properties of the mouse and assign this macro to the button on the right. Can someone tell me how it goes, because it gets REALLY annoying and sometimes very frustrating difficulty? I think it's the Sidewinder X 6, it is wired with the adjustable weight and LED. Thanks for any help.
    Steve

    Hi sfreemanoh,

Thanks for posting your question on the Forums of Windows Vista.

You have a recordable keyboard macros as well?

Sometimes, it may happen that during the game, you could hit a key on the keyboard that allows macros to the registration option and you think it's the mouse.

You can check in Control Panel for the keyboard settings, and I will also recommend to re - check the properties of the mouse in the control panel if there are all the macros settings assigned to your right mouse button.

You can also try to update the software of the driver for the keyboard and mouse. You can use the following link for the same thing:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/hardware/download/DownloadResult.aspx?category=MK&type=mouse&name=m_sidewinderx8&OS=WVista_32&lang=en

Also, I would like to know what game play you and it happens to the same particular phase of the game or any time during the game.

Can you also inform me if this happens all in playing a game in particular or with any game?

    Thank you & best regards

  • Failure of the mouse on laptop

Mouse and laptop mouse pad is default, refusing to work, but mouse works in safe mode startup. It doesn't seem to be a mechanical failure to think software. Mr. R8td

Both fail because you have both connected, that is why.

    A "question of conflict."

Turn off one of them, via the 'properties' of one never allows you to disable.

Start/Control Panel / Device manager/mouse and other pointer devices. (Each title is a step... There you.)

When used in a "mobile situation' where you can't use the mouse, turn on again the key.

Turn it off, when you are probably at home.

In fact, this will make your mind about which upward turned off, depending on the circumstances you, does not?

Learn it, get used to him.

    Easy.
