  • Sansa e260 not recognized by Windows Media Player in MSC mode

    Hello

I have a problem. When I connect my Sansa e260 in my PC, Windows Media Player 12 will not recognize it. I can still see it in the computer, including the Micro SD card. When it's in MTP mode I can see it in WMP, but I don't see that micro SD. thing is I want to download some new songs on the Micro SD card that I can't see. I don't know if I can download songs on the player itself, because I don't have any space left there and I dare not remove anything where I won't be able to download stuff on him. I'm running on Windows 7. This problem occurred during the night. I change not all components, nor that I have installed all new programs. I also tried different USB ports, firmware reinstallation, trying even Rockbox.

That's about all. Any idea is appreciated.

    Thank you.

Set mode MSC, where the map stands as a separate disk. (MTP mode is for control via WMPlayer or Media Monkey).

  • SD not recognized by Windows Media Player, but there are songs there!

Hi there, this may be related to my previous post about the unknown artist (for which I didn't get any answer!) ).  Anyway, there is a new bug now.  I reconnected it to WMP, and it reads that I have an external SD (which I do), but says that he has no songs on it (which exists).  Earlier, in WMP, it registered the songs when I clicked on the SD card.  It the bed as having only 1 mb of space on the card, which would be fair.

I can play some songs on the device that are on the card external sd (but those entitled 'unknown').  I'm so confused and it's quite frustrating and counterintuitive.  I'm going on a long trip in 2 days (of course!), and this is my first product Sansa.  I have NO IDEA what to do.  Help, please

WMP is a curse! I find his oprtions synch counterintuitive and downright dangerous for the contents of your library or on the drive.

That says Windows Explorer is located on the map? You can use it to drag & drop of the stuff to/from the player - for me, it works better than WMP for content management.

Depending on whether your rocket is set to MTP or MSC in settings-> system-> USB Mode settings, the map will be either see the place as a directory under \My Computer\Sansa Fuze xGB or as a removable drive in its own right with its own drive letter.

Note also that the files that put you on the memory internal rocket in MTP mode are not visible to the computer when it is connected in MSC mode & vice versa. You can see things on the card or mode, but the directory structure is slightly different in MTP mode.

Do not use WAV format - there are problems with the "rocket" understand them. MP3 works fine & uses less space. If you want really audio not compressed, use FLAC.

  • In Win7, how move you or rename a single multimedia file or media files containing single file without causing the library of Windows Media Player become corrupt?

I am trying to manually rearrange media in a way and records are arranged and named on my Win7 PC. I need to be able to move and rename files and folders individual.

The problem is that the traditional method of doing such things (i.e. the cut/Paste and Rename commands in Windows Explorer) will cause the damaged Windows Media Player library. It seems that all the changes to the paths of the multimedia files must be made in the Windows Media Player interface. However, I'm unable to find options to move or rename files or folders in WMP.
I am aware that there is a way to move and rename all the files and the folders that contain media files automatically, but not what I'm looking for. As far as I know, it does not allow me to select only the files and folders, and it offers very limited options for what could be the new places and names.
What is the feature I want to exist in WMP? If not, is it possible to do outside WMP which will not cause the damaged WMP library? (Also, if not, why not, Microsoft?)
    Thank you

    Hello

You can change the location of folders in Windows Explorer.
After changing the location, I suggest you to rebuild the Windows media player library.

  • Mobile device does not synchronize with Windows Media player

My mobile device (Pharos Traveler 137) running windows media 10 mobile player is not detected by Windows Media Player 11 running in Vista.  Connected and synchronized correctly for months, it is not so now, even if the mobile device is detected by the computer and synchronizes correctly for other purposes such as outlook, files, etc..   How to get Windows Media Player to detect once more unit (specifically the card 8 GB storage) in the window of synchronization?

    Hello

    1. don't you make changes before the show?
    2. is the device detected on the computer?

Step 1: We recommend that you check if the sync settings are correct. To do this, follow these steps.
    1 open Windows Media Player.
    2. click on the arrow below the Sync tab, point to the device, and then click Advanced Options.
    3. the Properties dialog box for your device is displayed. Tab sync, box start sync when device connects checkbox.
    4 restart the media player.
The next time that you want sync, connect the device to your computer and click on the Synchronize tab, then click Start Sync.

Step 2: Add a device to sync in Windows Media Player.
    1. start Windows Media Player and connect your portable device into a USB port on your computer. A box of "Windows Media Player ‑‑ Device Setup" appears, showing that he recognized the device and provides an opportunity for you to name your device.
    2. read how the player will sync your device, which is directly under where you type the name of the device. If storage of the device is more than 4 gigabytes, for example, and your library on Windows Media Player fits on this device, the player chooses automatic.
    3. selection of automatic synchronization means that your device will reflect all your Windows Media Player library and it will do so that whenever it is connected. Click on "Finish".
    4. to synchronize only some of your library when the player chose automatic, you can choose what will sync when you open Windows Media Player. Click on the portable device in the right pane and drag the items you want to synchronize with this device.
    5. selection of a manual synchronization indicates that the player has detected that the portable device has no place for your entire library. Click on "Finish". Open Windows Media Player, select the portable device in the right pane and drag the items you want to synchronize with this device.

  • 21 of Firefox opens not mp3s in Windows Media Player

I put the option program of file type for the two 'windows media player' and 'request' and Firefox always opens the mp3 in a generic player in a new tab MP3s played in the popup from Windows Media Player (after download) fine in the latest version of Firefox 20.X. I tried to disable the Microsoft WMP plugin (the only way to prevent them from opening in a new tab using Quicktime was to disable the plugin (QuickTime).

MIME MP3 settings in Quicktime format have been unchecked and the settings of Windows extension all are defined on Windows Media Player as the default player for MP3s.

Hello sewing1243, 21 firefox now uses the codecs that are included in your operating system that allow him to directly read mp3 and mpeg (also for html5 videos). in order to disable that, enter about: config in the address bar of firefox (confirmed the message information where it appears) and search for the preference named media.windows - media - foundation.enabled. Double-click it and change its value to false.

Another way to download files without tweaking the above-mentioned preference would be to click right on the link that leads to an mp3 file or right click on the drive in firefox and choose to download the file like that...

  • I can view is no longer the video files to the format AVCHD using Windows Media Player on my desktop

I can view is no longer the video files to the format AVCHD using Windows Media Player on my desktop.

I could at some point... but now all I get is audio, no video.  The files open and work on

my laptop that also uses Windows Media Player... but for some reason now... nadda.  Seemed

This all started when I upgraded Windows more late service CAP and also installed Real Player.

    Help!

    Hello

    • What version of Windows are you using?

    1. it is possible that you are missing the codec to play the file or it is clashing with other codec files.

    2. the link provided below lists supported by Windows Media Player file format.
It does not list the AVCHD or. MTS files supported file format directly:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/316992

    3. yet we cannot be sure at this point that the issue is due to interference with some files.

    Method 1:
Alternatively, you can perform a restore of the system to a previous point, when the issue was not present. The System Restore tool uses points of restore to return the system files and settings to an earlier point in time. You can use it to restore the operating system to a point in time where you have not experienced the problem.

Note: When you use System restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

To do this, there must be a restore point from the system in which the connection was successful.

Please refer to the below of the help links on performing a system restore.
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/what-is-system-restore
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/system-restore-frequently-asked-questions

    Method 2:
You can determine which codec was used with a specific file; read the file in the player, if possible. When the file is playing, right-click the file in the library, and then click Properties. On thefile tab, look at the Audio codec and Video codec sections.

Then you can uninstall any installed codec and install that you need to do the job file.

If you have several codec for the single file to work they can clash and cause problems.

You can check the link for assistance on the issue - below
