  When you go to activate CS6, it should indicate that your serial number is valid but cannot find a product calling it on the machine (it would be CS5.5).  There is a selection list where you select the previous version (CS5.5) as well as an entry where you enter the serial number for this older version.

  I just tried to intall Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition and Grade the Premuim of Production package on a speed almost "new" Dell XPS 17 Core i7 laptop with the title of administrator rights. The installation process returns errors no less of 9 and 4 warnings. Illustrator was not installed at all.

  Here is the summary. Any ideas? Could the pre-installed Photoshop Elements 9 and Premiere Elements caused the problem?

  You must get the Mac version to be able to install and activate on a Mac (or two - Yes you can install and activate on both machines).  Do you need to do a cross-platform swap, which allows to Adobe with the latest version of their products (CS6 at this time).  Here is a link that explains what you need to do...

  It is a wrong answer to the question. QuickBooks 2010 cannot be installed from the CD because the CD tries to install Flash and Flash is already built into Windows 8. The solution is to download QuickBooks from Intuit web site and install the downloaded version. It installs without problem and works very well.
