[Moved] Explorer.exe "Material error" - Vostro 270
I know that this seems to be an error in the software, but I can't seem to find any info on why this error pops up.
Windows 8, 64 b, when you start go to pop - up box: Explorer.exe (top) then said to material error. Thought of uninstalled BitDefender which was the question, was locked (blue screen with the sad face) when I was on firefox; Uninstalled and installed the nightly FF.
Any help?
B
It wasn't an infection tdl3. I understood the question when I went to reformat the hard drive. It was a memory problem. I had thrown Corsair after memory market from the beginning and it didn't work well. When I went to reformat, I received a memory error message, open a chat with Dell support session and finally tried memory on another box. The strange thing is that all diagnostics system says everything was fine until what I reformatted.

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application. "there are no icons on the desktop so I can't even in the Panel of control etc. How can I get this sorting?
Hello DF2012OZ,
You are able to get in Mode safe?
If so, check in the case of the newspapers to see if you can see a similar error message. It can give more details.
Then try to run Chkdsk to check for errors. Right-click your drive, go to properties, tools and error checking. You can also do a system restore to get back before you receive the error in the Solution Explorer.

Explorer.exe has errors on start up that invites a temporary office to use. Vista was preinstalled, so I don't have a version of re - install?
Hello
Any manufacturer should provide a means of recovery, it is more often to another partition on the hard drive which is accessible at startup. See your documentation for instructions to access or post with the brand and model of your system for instructions.
As for the error, it means that you have a corrupted profile and these cannot be fixed. What you need to do is to connect to another administrator account and create one for yourself. Log in there and copy your personal files before deleting the original. The process is described in this article: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Fix-a-corrupted-user-profile

Identify corrective actions their memory could not be read
Often, a certain instability in Windows Explorer is due to the defective shell extensions and addons.
Consider using Sysinternals Autoruns or ShellExView. Disable Add-ons and non Microsoft shell extensions and verify the behavior. If he went, reactivate the disabled extensions/add-ons, one at a time and see if you can identify who may be liable.Try a clean boot, or boot into safe mode. The behavior persists? If you continue to experience the problem, consider creating the hierarchy of following registry keys in the registry:HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Windows error Reporting\LocalDumps\explorer.exe\In the explorer.exe key, create a REG_EXPAND_SZ value named DumpFolder and set the value to%systemdrive%\localdumpsdata. Ensure that the %systemdrive%\localdumps file exists, and then cause the crash to happen. It must be a dump file in %systemdrive%\localdumps. Download the dump on your SkyDrive file and provide a link.(Letter is an environment variable that represents the system drive, usually C:.) -

Hi all
Hoping someone can give me a little more insight on this error.
I have a PC that is running Server 2008 R2. Recently, Windows Explorer has crashed on me. Here's the info I pulled from Event Viewer:

Path of the failing module: C:\Program NVIDIA Corporation\Display\nvui.dll
Report I would be: 0b33d046-0fb4-11e6-acfc-00235482096a [/ code]Then it happened again:
[code] The failing application name: Explorer.EXE, version: 6.1.7601.17514, time stamp: 0x4ce7a144
Name of the failed module: SHELL32.dll, version: 6.1.7601.18952, time stamp: 0x55c3a0ed

The failed module path: C:\Windows\system32\SHELL32.dll
Report I would be: dcf1f04b-0fb4-11e6-acfc-00235482096a [/ code]In the first crash, I see the path of the failing module as a DLL from NVidia, but the second is something different. I ran sfc/scannow, and he sent back a message saying that he 'finds corrupted files, but could not solve some of them. I searched a bit and found the following:
http://www.thewindowsclub.com/Windows-resource-protection-found-corrupt-files
http://www.SevenForums.com/crash-lockup-debug-how/104768-troubleshooting-Explorer-exe-crashing-issues.html
Would one of these something I could do to fix corrupted files? Is there something else I'm missing with these crash reports?
Any help/insight would be appreciated. Thank you!

PROBLEM: Clicking on Windows 'Explorer.exe' (or the shortcut of the program itself) causes the following error msg (under the title: "explorer.exe"): "this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action." "Please install a program or, if such is already installed, create an association in the default programs control panel".
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Work around successful - even if it's not ideal - is the following: when I right click on the shortcut of windows Explorer, a list of folders "frequent" previously selected appears. When I chose one, windows Explorer opens properly and points to the selected folder. From there on, can I nagivate to any other directory/folder correctly.
I fear, however, as to why the shortcut/program file themselves are causing the error message.
I get the same error (this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action.) Please install a program or, if such is already installed, create an association in the default programs control panel)
More funny thing is that I can click on computer and Explorer works very well. The shortcut on the taskbar and Windows Explorer under the accessories section are affected in this way. All other files with exe extensions seem to work well. I'm running Windows 7 32-bit version.

BluetoothNotificationArealconWindowClass: explorer.exe Application error
Hello
My laptop under Win7 recently became unstable, crashing every day if you use Firefox or Chrome and sometimes Excel.
The last message box had the legend above. He also says:
"The instruction at 0x72C9D1CF referenced memory at 0x72C9D1CF. The required data were not placed in memory because of an error of e state / of 0xc0000056. Click OK to terminate the program"I ran diagnostic checks, digital, etc. defragmented disk.
The computer does not have Bluetooth so I wasn't using it. Was not using Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer so I'm mystified the message.
Thanks in advance for your help.
