  From my experience the iaStor0 for the SATA driver file belongs and maybe it s a HARD drive problem

  Have you changed anything in the BIOS?

  I'm trying to publish a movie on this computor in Windows Movie Maker. The files are .wmv with a band his .wav and are all stored on my computor. I performed this task with success several times and there is enough free space on the computor.

  When I click on publish, there are a few seconds where he tries to publish, but then the program goes into a gel and the dialog box appears with the following: "another user is running Windows Movie Maker on this computor. Please close the other session of Windows Movie Maker before starting Windows Movie Maker again".

  Three days ago, my PC froze.  Mouse and keyboard did not.  This is the first time that has happen in 3 years I've had this PC - running Vista.  I had to turn it off, then he did no longer starts, after the first screen (press tab to POST, etc.), it would make a click and beep and then tries to start again.

  -After leaving it for a while, he started to Windows but it would freeze within 3 minutes.  But you can hear the basic unit of PC running as normal, but just a frozen screen.  Sometimes it starts with windows, sometimes it wont.

  -J' tried last known - good Config it froze again.

  -J' tried Safe Mode - it was freezing here as well.

  Regarding the ISO disc techqnique above, on my BIOS, the DVD is already 1 in the boot order but the PC still keeps same reboot when I have my 'Operating System - Recovery DVD"in my player.  He can't step to start playback of the DVD.

  If it is under warranty, contact your manufacturer.

  If it is not under warranty, try a local and trusted computer repair workshop.

• Windows freezes for 5 to 10 seconds every few minutes.

  After the upgrade to Win 8.1, I had some experiences with my computer freezing for 5 to 10 seconds every few minutes. Music continues to play, the cursor keeps blinking (although sometimes it freezes too) and the mouse can be moved, but try typing don't work and try to close, open, move or otherwise interact with the programs (applications office and modern) fails. Then, at the end of the gel in short, everything what has been done during freezing happens everything both. Restart breeze the trend until it starts again (sometimes hours later, other time days).

  It seems to be overheating problems and SFC came clean the problem only arose recently (well that before, it happened sometimes with IE only but who stopped). I'm not running 3rd party antivirus and Defender is coming clean, and so have free McAfee scan.

  My computer is a Dell XPS 1520 running Windows 8.1 update update 1.

  One last note, the problem seems to occur sometimes when I use Windows built-in backup of the file system. I can't actually think any time it all started when I was not hung on the backup media, even if it persists after the disconnection. I used three different types of backup media, so I don't know if one of the drives is the cause, but I will deal with that now.

  A new problem started with my Macbook pro in recent weeks. Initially, it was rare, but now he continues to be all a few minutes (it happened as I type this).   Freezes my laptop Envy15-3000 starting up.  It makes only to the Windows startup screen and then icons Microsoft stop moving.  This has happened since Tuesday (8/12).  I ran checks and the memory and hard drive (quick and full) test came back positive - i.e. without problems.  I finally decided to reformat yesterday (8/14).  He gets throughout the process of reformating until he wants to start the system for the "first time" (I guess this will be the last time it restarts in the recovery process) and always freezes on Windows startup screen.  If I try to hard cock off and try any other start up option I can think (Safe Mode, etc.), it says failed to retrieve and asks me to try again, get the details or Save Log.  When I try again, it goes back to freezing.  Therefore, I am now in an endless loop of another attempt of the retrieve to access the windows screen start freezing.

  All I want to do is wipe the hard drive and reload everything.  I'm not interested to recover the old data I backed everything up.  I have had no error messages on my sleeve it, memory, tests etc, so I'm at a loss on how to proceed.  Help, please!  Thank you.

  My Vista system had mouse freeze for 10 or 15 seconds every few minutes for some time now, too long for me to start simply undo the restore points.   I have a MS optical blue USB mouse, running on an ultimate Vista update install on a Dell workstation.   Recently, I brought up the Task Manager and left open. A few minutes later when gel mouse happened again, I saw "mobsynce.exe" appears in the list of processes, and then disappear a few seconds after the mouse resurrected itself. That's what happens whenever the mouse crashes, at least on my system.

  I had never heard "Microsoft Sync Center", and read on this subject on MS gave me not a lot better understand why it's popping in and out, as if it were. I tried to turn off all the files and readers, without changing the frequency of freezing.

  MS wrote of Sync Center can not be disabled or uninstalled. I have not all attached to my machines, I know mobile devices. I am on an intranet home, and I have the HP MediaSmart Server on this network, as well as some other machines.

  In Sync Center, I have nothing that could be stopped to be synchronized, no evidence of errors, etc. Its only function on my system, seems to be to freeze my dozens of mouse of times every day.<|:-)>

  I rebuilt the USB stack and introduced to the mouse backwards to a USB mouse. I experienced the same problem as before, gel apparently slightly worse, which makes the mouse unusable. The only solution that worked in my situation is plug the USB mouse with a PS2 port adapter and use it that way. There are still sometimes 'breaks' but not gel, and they may have other causes.
