Moving data in iCloud account

Hello

I have a Gmail email address defined as my iCloud account. I want to move to an e-mail domain iCloud for all my stuff from Apple. Question is, I'll be able to pass all my account data to the iCloud email? (I have also the new 32 GB, Apple TV, and a 13 or 14, MacBook Air, I need to update.) This will include purchases, applications, settings, wallet and other personal information.

Thanks for your help,

~ KronosKurve

Yes, you can certainly move all your data to the iCloud email account.  Take a look at these two links that will help the process - http://lifehacker.com/5850859/how-to-migrate-all-your-data-to-icloud-from-google - with minimal fuss & http://www.scrubly.com/blog/how-to-icloud/a-headache-free-approach-to-migrating-your-emails-from-google-to-icloud/

  • My Apple TV 1st generation can not access my Apple ID iCloud account

    Hello! New problem.

Now, when I want to connect my Apple TV 1st generation to my iCloud account, or when I want to rent a movie from my account iCloud for display on my TV, after that I entered my * correct Apple ID & pswd on Apple TV, I get on my iPhone, a message that someone is trying to connect to my iCloud account I answer "Allow connection" reception on the iPhone a code 6 digit should I enter on the Apple TV. But Apple TV 1st generation can not enter any code recognition, there is no space to do it, he said just that the pswd is wrong (which is not!). If the Apple TV is unable to open a session. After the 4th attempt, Apple TV tells me that after so many failed attempts, my password is ignored by Apple and I need to connect to my Mac iCloud account to receive a new pswd. I connected from the mac and don't see any mention of any incident. I signed up for authentication two factor on July 21, 2016. My list of secure devices remains unchanged (MacBook Pro, iMac, iPhone and iPad, no Apple TV).

    I checked:

The Apple TV is connected to my network domestic wi - fi as usual: it is the case.

Internal the software of Apple TV is up to date: it is.

That my home network connects to the internet: it does.

Two-factor authentication would be the cause of my new problem?

    Should I disable?

How can I connect to new my Apple TV 1st generation to my iCloud account?

TIA (Apple TV 1st generation MacBook Pro early 2011, 2011 iMac id, 10.11.6, 5 c iPhone OS, iPad mini 1st generation, iOS 9.3.3)

Disable authentication factors while you identify yourself, you should then be able to reactivate it later.

  • Impossible to be re - connect my iMac to my iCloud account

Hello. My iMac has been connected to my iCloud account, but apparently there is a bug somewhere I so disconnected icloud and agreed that all data belonging to my iCloud data (e-mail, calendar, contacts, etc.) could be wiped clean from the iMac. After the reboot of the iMac, I checked Mail forgot the associated e-mail account, he had, I checked that FileVault was still 'OFF' on this iMac, it was. I tried to re - login to my iCloud account. Preferences > iCloud. I have indicated my account iCloud and password, authentication double (which I activated there) sent a request for consent to my iPhone and iPad, I approved the connection of the iMac. Then I got on the iPhone and the iPad a 6 digit iMac asked me to enter code. I entered the 6-digit code, then the iMac again asked my password to iCloud. I entered my password iCloud on the iMac. Then, and this is where I do not understand. A splash screen for iCloud opened on the iMac "your iCloud, data are protected by your iCloud security code. To access your iCloud data, enter your iCloud security code", followed by a request to enter a four-digit code.

I have no this 4 digit code. FireVault is always "off" on this iMac, I checked. As far as I know, I have four numbers on the iPhone and iPad security codes and here only, not on the iMac, where I use a [plu] password to access my account. It is an iMac Mac OS 10.11.6, not an iPad or an iPhone.

I send you this question through Safari on my MacBook Pro (OS10.11.6) which is my first mac, that is still connected to my iCloud account and there's no bug.

What should I enter? What should I do? TIA

First of all, please make sure that you do not confuse the password to unlock your iPhone and the security code that you use to iCloud Keychain. It is the latter that controls your synchronization of e-mail account on all your Apple devices. To change your security code on an iOS device, tap Settings > iCloud > Keyring > advanced > change security code. The following Apple's Support document may explain what is happening with your iMac: If you register your iCloud Security Code wrong too many times - Apple Support.

FileVault and his password is something unrelated, because this material is so the password allows you to connect an and use the user account of your iMac.

I know that the proliferation of codes and passwords is a subject of confusion. Until a better method comes, it may seem that its only purpose is to conspire against you and prevents you from using your Apple devices. If you don't get anywhere, start here: http://appleid.apple.com. Sign in with your Apple ID credentials, check under Security and featuresinformation and verify that all information is correct.

If everything on these pages seems correct, I suggest that you continue with this site: Apple ID - official Apple Support. Scroll to the bottom of the page, where you will find a button called "get Support" under the heading "help me with Apple ID". Until it clicks. That will load a page with the title "what is happening with your Apple ID".

The most applicable to your concern is "Other Apple ID Topics" that will lead to more options. One of them will allow to contact Apple directly. Let them make things right. Be patient with them, since your ID Apple is literally the key to security of your account and they will have to establish positively that your identity before attaching everything is false.

  • import photos from the old iCloud account

    Hi there-

I had an old apple what ID synchronized to an e-mail that no longer exists. I changed from my apple to a work email ID (and also got a new iPhone), but I can't recover my photos that have been synchronized to the old apple ID. I can connect to iCloud very well with the old ID, but am unable to do anything about it either, out (try to download the old account on my mac). Could someone help?

    Thank you!

It is not possible to synchronize data from one account to another iCloud.

It would be the same as Apple Apple ID not allowing the merger.

  • delete a single icloud account unit

    Hi all

I have an iPhone with ios 9 and and iPod with ios 6 and I'm icloud on two of them. I want to delete my account on my iPod icloud. I saw that I could delete only on my iPod icloud account, since he had an old ios, but I fear that I will remove account on my iphone too and I don't want that to happen. Anyone know if I will delete my account icloud on both devices, if I delete it on my iPod?

    Thank you!

    (Sorry for my bad English)

To remove the account on the iPod just log out.

Do not start to delete all data in the account.

If you disconnect simply will not affect your data on iPhone in any case whatsoever.

  • Woman sign mysteriously in iCloud account on phone friend.

My wife is good at many things, but unfortunately, it is technically inept. Yesterday, when a friend tried to share a photo she had on her iPhone, my wife took the phone from his friend to his friend and says you type in my cell phone number, pass the photo to me through Messages. (I never got the photo). Later, his friend found calendar of my wife, contacts and list to appear on his phone, interspersed with his own data. When I looked on the phone to her friend to solve problems, I found in the parameters she had somehow connected iPhone to her friend on her own iCloud account. Her friend IPhone actually showed that it has been saved both his and my wife iCloud accounts simultaneously, which I don't even think was possible.

I managed to remove the account from my wife from his friends phone that also erased his friends list of contacts and calendar. Fortunately, even if her friend was unaware of the importance of the backup, it must used the settings by default with its iPhone, while she was able to restore its contacts to iCloud.

I try to understand what she was doing, so that I can the stop you from doing it again, but I can't reverse engineer what she was doing. In the meantime, I begged him not to touch any phone or a computer that is not hers. The security breach could have serious consequences personally and financially, if the woman had not been a friend.

Can anyone with more experience understand the steps necessary for the foregoing takes place, so that I can warn my wife against this sort of thing? She has no idea how she did it, which I'm sure is true, and a bit scary, but after 30 years, I'm getting used to it :) I'm starting to think that it is a kind of Manchurian candidate that is a diabolical techno-terroriste of moments of unconsciousness. God help us if she's never in politics.

    Hi yebdox,

I understand that your wife went to use his iPhone friends so she could send a photo to you through the messages app, but after doing that you soon later discovered that wife iCloud account was connected on his iPhone of friends and you want to know which would not cause happening.

If I were in your situation, I'd be scared as well. I think it's also good that you take security to iCloud account your wife seriously.

It can be a little hard to understand the steps that your wife might have done to see how we could have his account on his friends iPhone. Perhaps your wife is a prompt to enter his iCloud account, when in reality the device might have been invites his girlfriend to enter their account iCloud instead. There are also other ways that you can connect to your iCloud account, as through the application of the parameters. Maybe your wife accidentally signed in his email account through the application of the parameters as well, that could explain why its contacts and calendars appeared on his camera to friends.

I think that even if you can't necessarily trace back the exact steps about how she counts iCloud is arrived on his camera to friends, I think that arguing with her and his training on the means to protect its iCloud account would be great. Along with this, you can also change his password on iCloud to a new password if you think that this will help you to feel safe, here: https://appleid.apple.com/. You can also turn on two-step validation of your Apple ID help prevent full access to your account, for more information on this subject, please refer to this article on the Apple support knowledge base: frequently asked questions about two steps checking of ID Apple - Apple supported. In addition, you can find more information about the optimization of the security of your account here: Security and your Apple - Apple Support ID.

I hope this helps you yebdox.

  • I changed my iCloud account and all my contacts are gone?

    Hello

My husband and I shared the same iCloud account, which has recently caused problems. So tonight, I deleted his iCloud account and added my own.  Since that all my contacts disappeared!  I tried a sign-out and return in the original iCloud account but it then gives me all the contacts from my husband and not mine?

I have a backup on my mac for a year, but if I restore this backup phone he will remove all new things, messages from photos, applications etc?

    don't know what to do?

Have you and your husbands contacts mixed up at some point in all of this? If Yes, what you could do to iCloud.com login to your Mac with the original account and go to settings. In the lower left corner, click the option restore contacts. You can restore the State of the iCloud contacts on this account to the archived dates, as you see in this area. When you do this, it creates a backup of the contacts in their current state, if you find that you need to return the contacts to be what he had here before you went here. If you restore the contacts on a date that seems to recover your contacts as well, (you want to be logged on your iPhone with this account then what is happening and contacts switched on the account) then after the contacts seem to have stopped catering to go forward and turn in iCloud on your iPhone contacts and choose to keep on the iPhone when the ability to delete them from your iPhone. After having done that, open a session on this account, sign in with your account and merge contacts when you are prompted to. That will push your contacts in your own iCloud.

Don't forget to go to the backup on iCloud.com after all this is done and go to settings to restore the Contacts in their archives when they were just appearing as contacts of husbands.

  • Transfer backups again icloud account

    Hello;

I need to transfer my "personal icloud" backup data to a "new icloud.
    The problem is

My father bought an iphone about seven weeks ago and asked me to configure it for him. Lazy as I am I just set up my account "personal icloud" to avoid creating a new.
Now 3 days ago my parents bought me a new iphone to celebrate my final final.

Set up because there is a bit of money on it. and... bam. Everything is synchronized between my dads phone and mine. Not good.

quickly, I deleted my account on my new phone to stop the mixture contacts etc. and passed to my old during troubleshooting.

    That is the question

I'd like transfer my backups of dads in "current icloud" things like the normal backup, whatsapp, fotos etc to the "new icloud" account, his new icloud private.

Is it somehow possible to do?

    EDIT:
Since last year, I didn't have an iphone. If the account was not in use. only itunes store music on my Mac.

  • Backup data from iCloud!

    Hi guys,.

I have a question does your iCloud, available storage, (I think it's 5 GB Apple provides right?) with each device/Apple Id? Has any link with the iCloud backup data.

For example, I have 1 GB of available space on my iCloud storage and if I turn on the option Back Up Data to iCloud and if my data is more than 1 GB it are saved in the iCloud. These two have no connection at all? or are they two different things?

    Thanks in advance to all!

They are the same thing - your iCloud backups use your iCloud-storage space. You get 5 free concerts for the iCloud account (is not by the machine, for example if you use the same account on 2 devices you'll have 5 GB of available, not 10 gig). If you have 1 GB available and the size of your backup is more than 1 GB, he will not be able to make backup

  • "Your iCloud account settings are obsolete" notification keeps popping up on my PC Windows 10.

The notification Windows 10: "your iCloud account settings are outdated." keeps popping up.

When I click my email on the notification appears and "Remedy" by logging in. Which does not stop the notification.

I opened up to date Apple and he tells me that everything is up to date.

How to stop windows 10 notification that my iCloud account settings are obsolete?

You use two-factor authentication to your iCloud account? If so, the only solution I could find that worked was to generate a password App specific through AppleID (https://appleid.apple.com) site and use it as a password for my Windows Mail/calendar to iCloud account.

The procedure is described in a response by G00dbyeGirl to this post to the Microsoft community.

  • Cannot remove the iCloud account / an unknown error has occurred

My iMac started having weird errors on mail.  It started when I started to post and all my accounts were gone.  I tried to re - add, but it hung on the iCloud account.  Doing some research, I found suggestions to check my settings to iCloud.  When I checked preferences, only Photos has been verified, and when I tried to activate all the others, they were immediately disabled. I tried a disconnect... and he'd let me say that I had to remove my first iCloud email account. Go to preferences of Internet, my icloud account has been marked inactive, but wouldn't let me remove it.

Then, I went to my iPad and verified devices on iCloud and removed my iMac, hoping that this would fix it. (I had stopped the iMac so it would not automatically recognize itself.)  From my iMac I am preferences iCloud ti, and the account was exactly the same, still couldn't delete mail account iCloud internet accounts and when I tried switch off and return to the front he iCloud parameters, I received a message "an unknown error has occurred."

The iMac is my main machine, so I want a little to get this working again once... Any suggestions?  Is there anything I can check in the console logs for more data about the error?
