Mozilla firefox 36 address bar does not
I've recently updated Firefox to 36 because of an error running on an earlier version. I am running Win XP with SP3 and also using Norton 360. After the update the address bar does not work, either by using the Enter key, or menu drop down recent sites and selecting a.
My Favorites function as it should and I can go to any site that I have here. My Google home page works as it should and it will take me to any site on my homepage.
I tried to use the method of Mozilla Firefox 'safe start' with no difference. I also upgraded my Norton 360 with the latest changes and it is to this day. I have "authorized" Mozilla Firefox to the Norton firewall configuration, but none of these things have had an impact on the problem.
I have read and tried everything I could find on the subject "problems bar" but nothing works.
I like Firefox, but it becomes quite annoying and I don't want to go back to IE 8.
For any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
Make sure that you are not Firefox running in compatibility mode.
You can open the properties of the desktop Firefox shortcut via the context menu and check under the tab "compatibility".
Make sure that all items are disabled in the tab "Compatibility" in the Properties window.

Firefox address bar does not work
I recently updated my software Kaspersky of Kaspersky Internet Security Kaspersky Total security, 2015 at around the time that Firefox automatically updated from version 35 to 36. I don't know if the update of Kaspersky has nothing to do with the problem, but now the Firefox address bar does not work. I've 'come down' Firefox to version 35, but it still does not work.
You can add a URL in a window of the Firefox window (Firefox or Google) search engine, and that works, like clicking on the hyperlinks that appear. But the address bar is totally dead! The address in my browser Google toolbar also works OK
I hope that someone familiar with the operation of Firefox knows how to solve this frustrating problem as I prefer Firefox Google.
Thanks for the help.

Address bar does not open current tab URL COMPLETE
The address bar does not show the current tabs URL COMPLETE. I tried the Trim URL thing nothing helped. It is also one that there is no option to COPY the LINK in the file menu. I need to be able to view the full URL and be able to copy for a variety of reasons. Would also be nice to make sure that I am on a HTTPS page and don't have to guess.
Take a look at this site and see that no matter what you go to the page, the URL remains the same.Really want to know the reason that FF out of the combination, what is the problem or the issue or was it just someone's idea of a nice piece of code?
If you are on a secure connection HTTPS, then you will always see the https: Protocol. Only the http: Protocol is hidden.
If a page uses frames and other pages are open in a frame, then you will not see this picture link in the address bar.
You can right click on a web page to see if images are used (this frame > view frame info)If your settings for brightness and contrast are wrong then you will see only the field highlighted.
You can set the pref browser.urlbar.formatting.enabled false on the topic: config page to turn off the development of the field and to better discern the full URL.

Address bar does not not in Safari
My address bar does not work properly in safari, I can't click on it and enter the address manually, which is quite annoying. I deleted the plist of safari in the library but still no luck. Found a temporary solution to http://osxdaily.com/2016/01/05/fix-safari-freezing-address-bar-use/ that is to disable the functions of smart search which solved my problem, but is there a way that can solve the problem without disabling these features? I use a MBPR 2012 with El Capitan and never had this problem before.
Has't Apple has yet published an official commentary or difficulty with this problem, so for now the only solution is that you mentioned in your message.

Hi markehrmann,
I'll try from Firefox Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode. If you do not have the issue so that all your modules, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them in one by one until you find the culprit. You should look at the guide to troubleshooting Extensions and themes and article troubleshooting issues with plugins like Flash or Java to solve common Firefox problems as well.
Hope this helps!

The address bar does not appear the URL of the page
When I open a tab, I don't see the URL of the page that is open in it. If I enter a new address and press ENTER, I go to the page. The URL displays the entered URL, but does not change for new pages that load.
In addition, previous/next buttons do not work. I'm guessing that it is related to the issue of address bar.

Address bar does not go to the address when I press on enter
I just upgraded to Firefox 4.0.1. When I click on an address or enter an address in the address bar and press ENTER on my keyboard, it takes me to the address, the tab remains empty, as I him did not do anything. I have to click the small arrow to the right of the address bar so that he can go anywhere!
How can I fix it? I went to tools > Options menu and check the box which says "When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately", but that did nothing.
Thank you

Address bar does not automatically go to the pages
I love Firefox 4, but a very important feature that I liked what was still in Firefox was not found in 4.0 but it was 3.
Firefox would automatically redirect me to pages that would often appear first in Google when I typed in the address bar. For example, if I typed blog ps it would be b = me on the PlayStation blog, if I typed in gmail, it would bring right to Gmail, ect. But not there looking for just what I'm typing. When I type gmail it will bring up a search on google for gmail.
I tried to see if changing some options in all: config but nothing worked so I reset that I changed.
Help, please! I'm debating back to v. 3.6.16.
The change between Firefox 3.6. * and Firefox 4 is how the location bar search. In Firefox 3.6, it uses Google search "search by name". With innovation by the name search, it performs a search on Google and if there is a clear match he will take you on the site, otherwise, it shows the Google search result. With Firefox 4 it performs just a search on Google, if you type in something that is not recognized as a URL.
To get the behavior of Firefox 3.6 on Firefox 4, you must change a hidden preference.
- Type of topic: config in the address bar and press on enter
- Accept the warning message that appears, you will be taken to a list of preferences
- Locate the preference keyword. URL, double-click it and change its value on the link below
http://www.Google.com/search?ie=UTF-8 & oe = UTF - 8 & SourceId = navclient & gfns = 1 & q =
If you prefer, you can also do this by installing traverse it by extension - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/browse-by-name
