• ID3 tags to change during the transfer on USB

  When my iMac to transfer on a USB mp3 tracks, the ID3 tags are somehow get reversed. My car stereo then displays the correct track number, but plays and the false name of audio and the railway. In this particular case, I try to transfer an audiobook with 66 chapters. I named the files 001, 002, etc. in order to read in the correct order. ID3 tags are named Chapter 1, Chapter 2, etc. I can't understand why so, when read in my car, it will show track 001, but read the audio Chapter 4 and show Chapter 4. The funny thing is, does it only on my Mac. If I transfer files from my Mac to work they correctly and display all the correct information. I tried to copy from iTunes and from the finder directly and pass the ID3 info in both directions; They even produce different results, but both are mixed up. Any help would be much appreciated.   I don't know how to copy the files on your player could possibly change the iD3 tags.  They are part of the file, and it would be like saying take a book on a shelf and put it in a box caused some pages from the book to the book.  Are you sure that the track numbers you see are the real file names?  I think the most likely is despite the naming convention of the file that you are using your player somehow files out of use.  I imagine that you have provided the correct order in the track number and if there are a number of disk that it conforms to the order you want too.

  It's time I have this problem: I bought the Toshiba Stor.e basic USB3.0 external HD, but I was always unable to use it at full speed.

  During copying of large files (hundreds of MB) the progress bar stops abruptly and the system becomes unstable: I can't stop the copy, or cancelled, or closing the window. I have to physically disconnect the HD so that return system and the file is never copied.

  To me, it looks like a HARD drive problem and not a question of system.
  It looks like interruptions in stream in the copying process and the system hangs.

  Have you tested if you get the same problems using another HARD drive?

It seems to me that the problem is that phone support an internal hardware problem of HP may place an order with printer replacement with you under the printer warranty.   Ive been wrong this shot for days now and have not understood the problem. When I run CS5 on my iMac i7 Quad Core 2.8 it hangs up during the launch. Most of the time when I open AE by itself, it does very well, but if I open one of my old project files, it hangs up during loading, and once I left the sever process all my video files (codec animation) QT32 are unreadable in AE and say ' may not be imported - this MooV file is damaged or not supported. Any ideas whether what I have to do? Any help would be great! Thank you!

  I'm a bit confused by the present.  Please specify:

  If you start a new project, you can import the clips in the project you are having a problem loading?

  What it sounds like, it is that your project may has been corrupted somehow.  Since you can get opening project closing QT32 server, it probably means one of the references to your source clips is the problem.

  Try these ideas:

  -Start a new project and import the project evil in it.  If it works, you good to go.

  -Offline QuickTime files.  It's simple on Windows-rename the folder (s) they are in.  On Mac, it's more complicated because Mac OS is smarter on the follow-up of the files; the easiest is to copy them and then trash the original (but do not empty the trash).  Once the files offline, open the project.  If the project opens, OK, the message about missing files.  Now create a link to the files until you get a failure.  Once you get a failure, you know that you have either a bad reference in the project. delete it in the project Panel, and then re-import the file.

  -Exit QT32 Server, open the wrong project.  Save as to create a new copy to work.  Now repeat steps on disconnection and reissue of links the above files.

• Why my photos corrupt during the transition from XP to Vista?

  I recently bought a new Pavilion p6140f PC with Vista Home Premium installed.  When I transferred my pictures of my old XP system to it, a large percentage of them appear corrupt.  When you go into the records, initially the thumbnails load up the fine (the photo looks good), but a second later the thumbnail appears corrupt (half, discoloration, misalignments plans).  When I click the image, it loads under the corrupted form.  I tried to clear the cache of thumbnails with HP support, but it does not work.  Is it possible to recover my pictures?  It seems that somehow be ok since the thumbnails first then load corrupt.  Any help would be appreciated.

  I work as an IT Pro also, but came to the same question as the above posts:

  I have the same problem with Windows 7 x 64 (final, no beta version): after downloading images using my card reader 5 to 10% of the images get corrupted. At first I thought there was a problem of transfer: copy of the files on card for hard drive often gave me an uncorrupted image - after trying 1-5 times.

  So the source images should be OK.

  So I thought it's my hard drives (I have 2 hard drives in reverse [not windows RAID software but the motherboard includes a]) and I replaced two hard drives.
  ---> same result: copy the files to a card reader (also tested different ones before replacement of disks) on disk HARD destroyed images (JPG and as I have * just * also performs RAW (Canon) files).

  Also, I can't find any information on the net about it - especially not for win7.
  I'm afraid there is a real problem with win vista / win7 - perhaps with special chipsets?

  During my win7 beta-test (more then half a year) moved never this problem.

  If someone finds a solution, please post here...

  Hello everyone!

  I have a problem with the change of ownership of file on network shares.

  Namely, we have several (important) CIFS shares on our NetApp storage systems where the native (user) management quota is based on the file ownership. We intend to use this quota management for automation purposes, but the problem is that our analysis has shown that the owner of most of the files on these actions is - administrator. It is an unfortunate outcome of scripts hurt of the past and we need to remedy this situation.

  After much thought and keeping the overall complexity of the structure of folders in mind, it became apparent that the ideal solution would be to have users copy/move the files they need their old stocks of those newly created - and at the same time - network have the property for each file copied/moved, change somehow 'in flight' so to speak.

  Is this possible? Moving files to a volumeNTFS, on another volume, where ownhership is set to be inherited is possible - but this is CIFS shares , and it does not work.

  I googled the subject, but so far without success.

  I admit that I'm perplexed.  Any ideas are more than welcome!
