MP3s that I transfer to microsd card get renamed to letters JAP!

Hey all the...

Not sure if this has been considered at all, but if someone knows how to solve this problem, I can't tell you how much Id greatly appreciate it!

I have a Sansa e280 8 GB player, with an additional 8 GB microsd card installed. Ive had for a few months now, and it is a v2 and fully update firmware. So far, I only used the microsd storage for my videos and my pictures (who all play perfectly). After having started to flow along the space on my drive (less than 200 MB), I thought that its time to start to put music on the card as well.

I xfer had a bunch of mp3s, but when the player refreshes and I go, nothing is transferred correctly. Almost all tracks appear as "Unknown" and each of them get renamed to Japanese/Chinese/that it's character. I thought WTF?

I tried several times, and it always happens. This was never the case when the real player music. I use MTP mode and its always been very well, it happens that by putting MP3s on the microsd card. But as said, the video and photos put on it still play perfectly.

For the love of God, anyone may know why this happens and how to stop it?

Thank you in advance!

Well, I'm happy to report that the problem, thanks entirely to Mp3Tag, apparently has been resolved!

Previously, I had been using Winamp to listen to and tag my mp3. I tried Mp3tag and removed the tags id3v1 and renamed using the iso id3v2.3 tags. When transferred to my microsd card, they now appear correctly! Assumed that you were right and that it was a question of label, even if I must say using my method of Winamp, they always correctly transferred to the real player and never came all poorly labeled like that.

I use a 8 GB Sandisk card if that makes a difference at all... Im just happy that I can now use capacity memory microsd card for anything other than photos/videos. Thank you for recommending this program!

  • Great clip! What is a microsd card? Is this possible?

I am owner of a clip of 2 GB and I have never had any problems with it. My daughter has the "rocket" of 8 GB and it's cool, but nothing like the video for many reasons.  Is it possible to make a clip with a microsd card expandable memory?  Of course, it would be a new invention from sandisk, with a small player and firmware just curious and shouting the idea if this is possible.

I doubt that SanDisk will add MicroSD card capacity. Yah, it would be nice, but I wouldn't hold your breath waiting.

The good news is that you can get up to a Clip of 8 GB these days. I think that Wal-Mart is still for less than $70. or so.

.. .and I heard talk of a possible model 16 GB.

According to what your BlackBerry OS is tells you what size microSD card you can buy. You can check under Options | Topic (will appear as v4.xx.xxx). Look at the table on the following link to see what size you can get - http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB05461

If you are on subscription, you just install it on your new computer and sign in with your ID Adobe that you used to buy PS when you arrive up to two installs, it will tell you that you have exceeded you install limit and asks if you want to disconnect other computers. Just so disconnect you. No need to have to disable or call Adobe!

  • Iconia 8 cannot transfer files to the formatted Sandisk MicroSD card fat?

Iconia 8 cannot transfer pix or formatted data to 64 g. Sandisk MicroSD card fat files?    Any way difficult?

I tried to reproduce what you experience on the device, but have been able to copy files on the SD card without any problems successfully. How do you try to move the files? I didn't go in Astro Manager of files, search for a file on my Tablet and tap and hold on the file and select copy. Then, I went to the SD card in Astro, the directory I wanted to copy to and you click on paste. You can try and see if it works? If this is not the case, my best advice would be to try another SD card.

  • I added a 128 gB microSD card to provide the space for my photos, (a second hard drive) but lightroom won't let me not import all the pictures that are already on the map. The only import option is 'copy', not 'Add '.

I had a problem with Lightroom on Microsoft Surface 3.  I added a 128 gB microSD card to provide the space for my photos, (a second hard drive) but lightroom won't let me not import all the pictures that are already on the map.  The only import option is 'copy', not 'Add '.  I worked around this by mounting a network directory containing photos and imported from there.  Is it possible to stop Lightroom to see such a map as a camera?

I have not tested, but it should work with Lightroom:

Not sure what happens if you remove the card and put in a similar SD card. I would like to test it so that you know what to expect.

  • Android storage 6 adoptable motorcycle G 2 formatting SD card gets stucks on 30%

When I try to use a MicroSD card as storage Adoptable (internal mode for the storage of mimcroSD) he's trying to format and it gets stuck on 30% immediately; using the external mode works very well. I tried with both microSD cards different and same result.

I think I see a part of your problem, it's a 64 GB card? G 2nd Gen is designed only to handle cards up to 32 GB. You might be able to use this as an external card, but that would explain why you cannot adopt it because the card capacity exceeds the limit the Phone System1. Also, what brand are these cards? I was able to successfully adopt my card of Sandisk 32 GB class 10 to my phone, Android phones hate some brands of cards.

  • TPT2 microsd card?

Someone at - it affirms if thinkpad 2 is SDHC or SDXC? It will recognize a 64 GB SDXC card? Anyone has demonstrated this with a specific map?

You are looking to get a TPT2 and want to know what the SD to the order.

    Thank you!

    Hey there rsuper,

From what I can find between various messages to forums, the Lenovo TPTs have SDHC is supported, which would provide support up to a 32 GB microSD card. Currently, I'm unable to locate all documentation that support SDXC in TPT2.

I found this page very useful https://www.sdcard.org/consumers/compatibility/.

In addition, I found this thread that may be interesting to you about SDXCs:

Good luck and thank you for being a part of the community of Lenovo.

  • I Iconia Tab A500, running 3.0, need help for upgrade by using a microsd card, got Acer download update

I Iconia Tab A500 running 3.0, need help update, I downloaded the entire updaes list in the supprt of acer, all versions, 3.0, 3.1, 3.2 and 4., I read on the acer support somewhere I can use a microSD card to update my device, as acer provides automatically, when I try it says 'poor network connection '. moving instead of anthoer. ", I have to update all the updates that are listed, or can I only update, using the 4. 0? to get the last known update. I also downloaded, 'Documents, applications, drivers, patches and O.S... How do I intsaller all these updates, I think that running the lowest version available, please help me... Thank you in advance.

There are some instructions step by step on the site, but basically you check out the file "update.zip" download, copy to the root of a FAT32 formatted microSD card, then start in recovery mode (press one of the volume buttons [which it depends if you are landscape or portrait mode] and hold, then the power press and hold). From there, you can choose to update in the zip file it finds on the map.

It is important before you have the correct version of the update, it's different for different regions of the world, and you will not be able to upgrade the (for example) Brazil version from the US site.

  • 128 - GB MicroSD card does not work with the new Clip +.

My old Clip + (black, 8 GB) was getting very long in the tooth, so I ordered a replacement off Amazon.  As far as I know, it is identical to the old, but a very unpleasant difference is presented - it does not work with the MicroSD card which has been a huge part of why I got a Sansa at all.  He acknowledges, but after a media updated I'm lucky if more than one album appears.  And that's what's so crazy!  You just blow through the update in a few seconds, and when I navigate on the map, there is nothing or a handful of albums random, orphaned.  That's happened?  I updated the new Clip + for the current firmware (as I had done with previous); I made sure to reproduce all the parameters that I would be put in place before--I can't imagine what could be the cause!

    Treats quick closing:

The card is formatted in FAT32 with the same sector size in storage aboard the player (32 768 bytes).

A 64 GB card format works even without any problem.

I tried to update the media in MTP and MSC mode; the problem is the same in both.

There is ample space for MTABLE. SYS - I have not yet loaded all the music on the Clip + itself.

Rockbox plays the card without problem, but the sound quality is horrible (at least on this player; I'm sure that other versions sound best), and its interface is a headache.  No thanks.

HM.  Looks like to run CHKDSK /F on the map the problem resolved!

  • I think my microSD card is broken...

If I have music on my card (even if its only song) it doesn't start. It will freeze after sansa logo. If I insert it after his it starts refreshing and never ends. So far I have leave refresh for an hour for a song and no dice. This card works very well on my clip + and so do the mp3 that I use. I can't add music to it while inside the player as he never climbs the sd card. I get a message saying that it cannot be mounted (osx). Also at the top is out of my drive is not come up with the right cable, it came with a mini-usb instead of a micro-USB cable. He came new on amazon, so I guess it was messed up at the factory.

Yes, I would want to contact Amazon for a replacement. They are very good about this. Funny on the cable. Never heard of that one.

  • E260 with MicroSD card

HI: I'll pick up an E260 for my daughter as a cheap MP3 player and I was wondering how do you play the microSD card?  That is, she'll be tearing Windows XP using mediaplayer 10 and given that it is 4 GB already how does know that there is stuff on the sd card?  The user guide is not clear on the use of the cards at all, or I can't understand it I'm thinking the E260 so it's a v2 will give a total of 12 GB with an 8 GB card that should hold for awhile

    Thank you

To do this, since you have repeated it.  I got burned (not here) before so I wanted to just make sure.

Thank you and sorry for the extra effort.

  • Maximum speed of read/write taken supported Sony Xperia Z2 for MicroSD cards

I am looking to buy a microSD for my Xperia Z2 phone (6503). My question is: how fast it can write data to an SD card. For all I know, these speeds are dependent on the controller of the SD card. If I'll know it approximate numbers I can acquire an adequate microSD card. Right now I'm trying to decide between: SanDisk SDSDQX - 064 G-U46A Extreme Plus 64 GB - 80 MB / s GB SanDisk SDSDQUA - 128 G-G46A 128 Ultra - 30 MB/s write for these microSD cards speeds half accelerated indicated reed are numbers. I like 128 GB Ultra card capacity, but would not hesitate to buy faster 64 GB card of more extreme.

If you use 4K as recording features, you may need to get a high speed SD! (go to the Maximum speed you can)

So I think that like extreme would be preferable in this case, but if your phone is what use you (like me) the maximum capacity (which has better speed as well, if not useless) I use a class 10 128 Go!

Like many, I know, I think that same 30 MBP will be sufficient for a 4K video!
