MP4 video files do not appear in Windows Media Player 12

Hi, I have Windows 7 64 bit and WMP version 12.0.7600.16667

I have several .mp4 video files in the folder my videos that do not appear in the video library (other type .avi files). I want to listen to these files on my Sony Playstation so I did already a lot of googling but could not find a solution. From what I checked on my system, I already have a codec and if I click on a such file in play in WMP.

Can I do to solve this problem? Thank you.

I don't know if it has changed since Vista but Mp4 video was not a video file type recognized, so a registry change has been necessary to make it usable as MS file formats AVI or WMV etc... MS has (yet?) Default identified it as an audio file format. MP4 is in fact also a video container type of file, such as AVI. You need a separator of suitable as well as audio and video CODECs on the system file.

The instructions for the installation of ffdshow and Haali splitter should work:

http://www.Afterdawn.com/guides/archive/how_to_play_mp4_files.cfm

It is essentially the same thing that I've done and MP4 files appear in my video library WMP.

I'm moving your message to the sounds and the media.

Rename the extension .mpg video and see if you are able to view them.

If this is not the case, check with JVC for instructions on how to edit video files.

    I hope this helps.

  • Some videos transferred does not work on Windows Media Player (no picture when playing video, audio only)

    Hello!

I have this problem, and it's very frustrating.

I tried to solve this problem, but it seems that it does not work.

When I want to click and open to see a video that was my old HTC SD card that I transferred all the files and videos on my account Dropbox, and now when I try to open and watch the video, it doesn't appear as an audio file and not with the original video.

However, when I watch the video on my Dropbox account or my Samsung phone, it's showing the video perfectly well. I also tried to transfer the videos separately, but it simply doesn't. Here I'll show you a picture of what it looks like on the videos which does not appear

And it's one of the rare videos that work to see, (on the phone EVEN HTC and SD card)

  • EA4500 Windows 7 can not index the files so not seen by Windows Media Player

I install a drive on the USB port of the EA4500 and 4 files.  A music course.  I want to access this folder through my laptop wireless with Windows Media Player, but I don't get a handle on disk + 3000 songs.  A PC cable can access files, but not a wireless laptop.  I don't know where is the problem.  If I use the reader via //host/Music the star ratings are not available, but I get all the music, if I map a drive can I get star rating but only a handful of songs.  I tried to change the permission, but I can't change the permissions of the file on the Linksys.

You should be able to change the permissions on the page of the router. Using the classic Firmware or the Linksys Smart Wifi? If you use the firmware Linksys Wifi Smart, it is under the USB storage device > access to records. If you use the classic Firmware, it's under storage > Administration. The laptop should be able to see all the files just like the office.

  • BlackBerry Q10 half of my music files are not appearing in the media player

I have a Q10 and have some music on it recently. The problem is that only 3-6 random pieces appear in each album. If I use the file manager, I can see them there and the phone can read files in this way however they do not show in media player, even in a search. I have...

tried to re-marking of media files.

    delete tags in multimedia files.

    I did a battery pull,

    I did a reset,

    I took the sd card,

    deleted from the sd card

and I tried a different version of the media such as mp3, wma, wav...

and the same thing guard again. I used a program of re-marking of the media and made each album still under same tags, the album art and all so I find it strange that some songs on the album appear and others not. Any help on this would be highly appreciated.

I'm adding files on my SD card via mass storage copy and paste.

    Hello

    It could be the cache.

32 GB memory cards or less, Yes, it is FAT32
If your memory card format is a 64 or 128 GB, exFAT.

If you want to, try to copy all your files, (do not copy the BlackBerry system such as files .crypt files) format the card and copy again.
