  • what amount of RAM is installed
  • What is the amount of free space on the boot volume

  HI - Finally - I found a solution.

  First of all - the following solution worked for me, but there are possible solutions mentioned on the thread I linked in my previous email.

  The mouse is a Logitech wireless, with the SetPoint software installed. I also had a Microsoft wired keyboard and just in case that was the problem, I replaced it and - YES! All good new - in fact explains some other issues, I was less concerned. The problem with the keyboard was somehow screwing of the mouse.

  Since then I have been reduced to a media volume on the keyboard button, no idea how to solve this problem, and the replacement keyboard was free, so just get rid of the old. Note: I could use the old keyboard when I downloaded the Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center, installed and disabled the offending button.

  You know that you can control the fields of Photoshop http://screencast.com/t/ApVseKYRxz with the mouse wheel. Quite handy indeed. Just click on the field and spin the wheel and change the values.

  The problem:

  My mouse wheel is unable to control the entry boxes in this way. I select the field, spin the wheel and nothing happen. When I turn it faster a couple of times, that values are changing - odd ha? Scroll normally - don't change, scroll fast change. But to scroll quickly is not an option because I can't change the values slightly in small increments... There is a bug really...

  After you have installed Windows on the new drive, have you thought to install all the drivers for your hardware? Looks like that you did not do this.   Answered my own question! FYI... I put a ps2 converter on my usb mouse (usb Bank was full at one point). There is no power for ps2 Management tab only mouse to usb, remove the adapter and the Panel under the mouse-hardware(select HID mouse)-properties-power management, was able to turn off "WAKE".
