  I bought my P50 A 12Z Satellite a year ago, and in recent weeks the backlit keyboard has stopped working.

  I used to hold the FN + W to toggle the keyboard light, but now it no longer works and I have the message "chronometer" on the top right of the screen as you can see in this screenshot:

  Hi guys,.

  I have satellite a300 PSAg4a - 02500 m laptop. All of a sudden the display has stopped working on the laptop. I tried to plug in an external display, but it does not work also.

  I can't even see the bios screen not. Laptops normally, I hear no beeps during startup, just the fact that there is no display.

  This laptop has a M86 ATI graphics card 512 MB. Its out of warranty.

  All had a similar experience. Is it possible to know what could be the problem.

  I'm afraid there is a problem of serious material with your laptop from m.
  I like the graphics card problem.
  Usually if the internal screen would be defective, you should see all the external display. This is why I think you GPU is affected.

  Seems the TosIPCSrv.exe belongs to the Toshiba S.M.A.R.T. Log Service.
  This can be found in:

  C:\Program files\toshiba\smartlogservice\tosipcsrv.exe.

  I'm not very well what is this process, but you could it enable or disable it in m
  MSCONFIG (type this in the window RUN) and check the startup and Services tabs.

  The question is not persistent in step 1 starting in safe mode

  In step 2, I stopped and unchecked below normal start-up services and I see error "Desktop has stopped working" but still get the "Spooler subsystem app stopped working." Is there a way to fix this?

• TouchPad has stopped working in Satellite L300

  Hi Xaxer, Hi,

  as I Don t know how to post a new topic, I just replied (I apologize this way).

  The touchpad on my L300 stopped working. (Vista 32 bit). FN and F9 does nothing.
  USB-mouse works fine. Downloaded new driver for touchpad.

  Touch pad is not displayed in Device Manager.

  What should I do?
  Any idea?

  Go to control panel-> mouse control-> last tab (Advanced or Pointing device)-> Advanced button

  You should see all the parameters of the touchpad.

  You fixed the restoration of the system for me and is currently working.

  The problem with the desktop really only apply to the missing icons, they were more a symtom of the fault on all the software that I tried to run. It came after I scanned with 'Regservo' that I would NEVER use again and advise others NEVER use.

  I couldn't remember go with a system of failure so I had to resort to pay a technician to fix my problem, seems fine now!

• Windows Media Player and Microsoft Office PowerPoint has stopped working.

  My laptop came with Vista installed. 2 weeks ago Windows media player has stopped playing video files that I receive by email. I tried to save the file to my desktop and play from there, but the same thing happens. He will play the first few seconds and then stops. In addition, Viewer PowerPoint from Microsoft office has stopped working. The error that says my anti-virus program may be the cause. I am currently using Norton Antivirus 2009.  I uninstalled Norton, but I still don't have the same error.   (b) what video format you are able to play on Media Player?

  You may need to do the following if you have not created a restore point

  Clean boot:
   
  This article describes how to start your computer by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine if a background program is interfering with your game or program. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot".
      
  To perform a clean boot on a computer that is running Windows Vista, follow these steps.
   
  1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.
  2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.
  3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.
  4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.
  5. click on OK.
  6. When you are prompted, click on restart.
  7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.
   
  If your issue is resolved, follow the how to determine what is causing the problem section in KB article to narrow down the exact source.

I have run the Vista operating system and make the regular (monthly) Microsoft updates. My last update ran on 10/1. Tried the online recommended fix to remove a software component snap-in "bluetooth" by selecting Word Options. That did not work as I didn't have a "bluetooth add-in. Any other ideas?

  I have a Toshiba laptop Satellite Pro C660 - 16 X, and about 5 days of internet explore has stopped working completely. I am connected to a wireless system that works well since I am on now computer it works fine. I tried another web browser like Opera, but that does not work either.

  Can someone advise what I need to do to get access to the back of the internet?
