MS thinks that my version of Windows 7 is not genuine

Hello - two questions:

Question n ° 1

I use an old computer that came preloaded with Windows (don't remember version).  At one point, I had a problem and by the contract of service, that I bought, a tech person came to do a fresh install of Windows on my computer.  He installed Windows 7 Pro 64 (only gives me a key code) and my problem was solved. Except that, since then, whenever I boot, I get an error message indicating that my version of Windows is not genuine.  I close the window and go on w / my work.

So far, I want to buy and install Windows 10.

From my research, MS recommends upgrade Windows 7 to the latest version before you install Windows 10, but of course I can't do that, since MS reads my Windows 7 as not being not not authentic.

Question n ° 2

I would buy Windows 10 and be able to install it not only on my 'old' office, but also on many laptops, we have at home.  I know that the office is sold on a 'per computer' basis, but is this also the case with Windows 10?  In other words, if I buy the product (on the media, not through download), I'll be able to do an installation of several computer?  These laptops are now running Windows 7.

A big thank you to all who can offer help.

God bless you!

~ Anais

It's unfortunate, but it seems you missed the bus. Until the end of July 2016 you could buy a copy of Windows 10 to replace the non-genuine version on your desktop. You could have improved your other PCs for free. This offer has now expired, and you need to buy a copy for each PC. Because Windows 7 is fully supported until January 2020, you might consider to leave things as they are. Windows 7 is a very good and stable operating system.

In the future, make sure you get a valid product key when getting a new product installed. It is not acceptable to tolerate the persistent error messages.

Your windows is only valid on the computer, it was originally installed on. It cannot be transferred.
You can buy a full windows installation on your motherboard retail retail.
    EDIT: added more information.

) SLP OEM: this key comes pre-installed in Windows, when it comes to the factory. This key is designed to work with the special instructions isn't on the hardware of this manufacturer. Then, when Windows was installed using the OEM SLP (in factory) Windows 7 key leans on the motherboard and he sees special instructions and activates. This isn't false or any form of malware. This is part of Windows Genuine Advantage, a program by Microsoft to prevent piracy of Windows and bring benefits to those who use properly licensed copies of Windows.

To make it disappear, click it and follow the instructions to validate Windows.

  • My computer won't let me not reinstall windows because he thinks that it is 32-bit and does not recognize the installation discs. Help please?

My computer has not worked since I stopped him during an automatic update. Which I have been kicking myself since then, but the last time that he updated, he beat the computer and I panicked.

Anyway, it won't run certain programs, including iTunes and a large part of MS Office, and no matter how many times I try to reinstall, they still do not work, saying: "side by side configuration is incorrect."

What I want is to restore it to factory settings - all my data is secured and sustained upward. But when I put in my recovery disks (and they are the highest boot priority in the BIOS) the system takes care of the hard drive as usual. When I remove the ability to boot from the hard drive, my system no reserves at all, telling me to restart or insert a suitable disc. And when I boot from the disk and try to run it manually, by clicking ETFSBOOT, it tells me that "the version of this file is not this version of the file is not compatible with the version of Windows you are using. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need a x 86 (32 bit) or an x 64 (64-bit) version of the program. »

I have double and triple checked this - my system is 64-bit. My records are 64-bit. As far as I know, the computer got garbled during the automatic update and now part of it think it's 32-bit (some programs are divided into sections 32-bit and 64-bit). All I want to do is to reinstall windows, but I don't know what to do because it does not recognize my discs! Any suggestions, internet?

    Thank you very much.

In addition, if it is relevant, I'm Windows Vista on an ASUS K50IJ laptop. I do not have the windows install disc because the computer was shipped with windows installed, but I have the recovery disc ASUS (which have been used to restore my computer in the past).

    Hello

Since you are unable to open programs like iTunes or Office, you can try to perform the system restore and check if it helps.

Note: When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

To run the system restore, you can consult the following link:
