MSI installer: recorded class is no problem

Hi all

I made an Installer MSI by using Visual Studio 2010, I used following properties for this installer to act as administrative rights. The main purpose of the definition of the following properties is to install the MSI installer without asking for credentials.

ALLUSERS = 2
MSIINSTALLPERUSER = 1

After you set these properties for the MSI installer, its functioning and installation very well on all other operating systems except Microsoft Windows7 professional.
On Windows 7 and 8, his work very well only problem in the case of Windows7 professional [I tested for 32 bit for now]

I get an error message

Unregistered class [HRESULT:0 Exception x 80040154 (REGDB _E_CLASSNOTREG)]

[Class unregistered, HRESULT: 0 x 80040154]

Please help me to solve this error.

Thanks in advance.

  • How to change the setting of compatibility of the MSI installer?

I am trying to install an MSI file for an application called "Encryption Plus" from the edge of the Guardian.

When I click with the right button on the MSI file and choose compatibility, I'm presented with the checkbox to select "run this program in compatibility mode for:"

Have you tried to install the file without changing the compatibility first?  If this isn't the case, you may be able to install and then change real compatibility on the exe file of the application (and Windows 7 can do for you automatically if it detects problems with the application).

Hope this helps and have a nice day :)

  • Flash v11.9.900.117 - MSI installs a version of the "wrong"!

I downloaded the latest version of Flash Player Adobe Flash Player Distribution page 11.9.900.117. However, when you install the. Installer MSI, the resulting version listed in the installed Windows programs is v11.8.800.168 for browser Plugin and v11.8.200.175 for Internet Explorer. I doubt that Adobe are aware they have a problem on their download site with the offline. Flash Player MSI installation file.

MSI installers in the page of distribution are version 11.9.900.117.

What is the date of the digital signature of the installation files?  They should be September 27, even as the programs EXE installation.

If your MSI have a different date, most likely, you have downloaded an old copy cached somewhere on your company servers.

  • Aspire installation Ubuntu V3 - 772 g problem

I recently bought an Aspire V3 - 772 g and I now want to install Ubuntu as second operating system. I've already replaced Win8 with Win7 and reconfigure the disk on the MBR instead of TPG to do and also disabled Secure Boot and switched to Legacy Boot.

I had the image of Ubuntu 12.04 official website and created a Live USB Stick using Unetbootin. I installed Ubuntu with Win7 on my desktop already using this stick and had no problem with it.

I can start my netbook with this stick and get into the menu where I can choose between installing Ubuntu, trying without installation, etc, but then the problems start. As soon as I press any key on the keyboard, the laptop freezes. The LED on the USB key stops flashing and remains lit permanently in place. When I left the countdown number down to zero, to make it use the default selection, a cursor flashing ("_") appears below, but other than that nothing happening (the USB LED also on stying apartment). In both cases, I have the laptop manually for use again at the stop.

Anyone have any idea what the problem might be or suggestion/manual to install Ubuntu on Notepad using any other way?

(I already consider switching to UEFI/GPT, but before I resort to such drastic methods I wanted to try to find something less scary)

Apparently, the problem was really the unetbootin bootloader. I was able to install using the stick life of Rufus. Always had a small problem with a black screen (solved by 'nomodeset') and gparted/Ubuntu-install not seeing my existing partitions (because Windows is not able to convert correctly on the MBR... corrected through this), but now it seems to work smoothly.

But if I eject the usb drive it gives an error. HELP PLZ...

He asks you to press the keys. If it starts on your USB drive when it is inserted, it means its default configuration in the BIOS at startup of the removable drive, click hard disk if the removable drive is not present.

To do this. As soon as it starts, hold down the button F2 repeatedly until he catches and brings you to the BIOS. From there, set the boot order to boot from your hard drive first. Save and exit. It will restart and all the lights will be turned off. As soon as the lights go on again, hold on to the Fn key while pressing the F11 several times. If you do it right, the start menu appears, select start from your USB key. It will then start to your flash drive and windows 7 will begin the installation. The next time that it restarts, you need not to do anything about it either, since it will now reboot your Windows HD will continue to install. When it's done, it will charge the second time and the bureau will appear.

I understand your concern, but Document Cloud is an essential part of the DC of Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Acrobat DC so it cannot be disabled. If you don't want to use this feature then you don't need to connect.

  • HP Deskjet 3520 series problem the driver Installation of class after the victory 8 recovery

Hi.I am Leonidas of the Greece and I am trying to solve this problem in the last 5 hours, my nerves are in very bad condition.

I used this printer daily for many months without problem, but a few days before, it was necessary to do a restore of windows 8 due to a problem. So today, I tried to reinstall my deskjet 3520, but I can't, everything I tried. The begginning I started with the installation cd. I could see the 3520 to my device at the Control Panel, I could see it in my network, but it was not possible to print. So I reinstalled deskjet 3520 and I installed it again but has not solved the problem. The system stop at step who wonder if the printer has wireless and I say Yes so he asks me the IP address or the computer name. I write the IP address (I know because I managed to print the test page to the thw first time of installation), but I can't spend the extra step because "the computer and the printer are related to different routers".

Please give me a solution... I look forward to hearing your response.

    Thank you

    Hi again,

By your final details I could understand that the printer is disconnected from your network, and therefore it cannot be.

Please try as below and let me know what happens:

    1. From the front panel of the printer, enter the configuration menu, select Tools and then select Restore Factory Defaults.
    2. From the front panel of the printer, go to the menu of wireless by clicking on the wireless icon, select Restore Defaults and confirm by selecting Yes.
    3. Disable the pritner.
    4. Re-turn on the pritner.
    5. If the software exists on your laptop, open the HP Deskjet 3520 and select Connect a printer using a wireless connection, if it was removed to perform the installation of the software, select Wi - Fi.

Now, you should be prompted with the steps to connect the pritner to your network wireless during the configuration of the wireless device.

If you still experience a problem, temporarily connect the printer with a USB port and then to open its software.

Click on the Tools icon and select Convert USB to wireless connection to reconnect it to your network.

    Hi again Andre,

After posting here, I did some research, hoping to find a way to fix

the installer of Windows 7. Apparently I'm far from the first person with this problem!

I also see that you others gave the same advice that you gave me
(http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-performance/windows-7-installer-50-when-will-it-be-ready-to/e696e036-dd43-4f8b-8b0e-5f34123f27d2?auth=1) but it did not help them any more than it has helped me (and answered quite nasty too).

a person named Helen Zhou said:
Windows Installer 5.0 was released with Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7. 5 Windows Setup program is not available in standalone version and you can download the Windows 7 SDK Web installation program or file ISO of Windows 7 SDK. The advantage of the web installer is that you can choose to install any subset of the SDK. It should, however, connect you to the internet

This answer seems to be the only one who never really resolved to someone

installation problem. As has been published in this thread:

Thanks to this comment and the link given by Helen Zhou (see below), my computer has been fixed.

Windows 8.1 - windows install 5.0 broke and arrested installation programs packed for her. The only solution was similar to a relocation. Running SDK Web fixed (loading install 4.5?) and I am very grateful!

Do you have comments on this proposal for a solution? What risks it implies?

    Thank you!

  • Error 1723 - cannot install anything with a .msi installer

I understand that this kind of question has been asked several times on this here that I searched, however still have not been able to solve the problem :(

Basically, I'm unable to install anything with .msi (windows package install), I get the error messages like:
"There is a problem with this windows package install." A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your provider to support personal or package"
    OR
"Installation directory must be on a local hard drive" (even if this is the case).
It is not with a specific software, I have a problem with. For example I tried to install Acrobat, Quicktime, rhinoceros (3d software) and T-splines (plugin for Rhinoceros)... which was a mistake and had some msi installers, so I think its safe to assume this is not not the software, but a problem with my computer, and I suspect the registry eventually.
Things I've tried so far without success
    • sfc/scannow
    • Microsoft fix it tool
    • Checked the status of windows install services (it was in operation)
The only thing that I came close to using 'run as administrator' with quicktime as it was the only program which enabled this option as an msi file. This actually worked and was able to replace the DLL error somehow and install quicktime.
Any help is really appreciated, I hope that his is not going to use a new installation on win 7 :(

None of the above worked, unfortunately, but don't worry...

    ... I FIXED IT
    Here's how
I resorted to a repair of windows 7 by using the support of instillation DVD/ISO/USB of my version on win 7 (it is actually an upgrade, wait for your upgrade to the exact version even though it should work with your key)
I followed these instructions to the repair facility
Don't worry, you won't lose any files, but I would still recommend making a return to the top.
I use Macrium reflect free http://www.macrium.com/reflectfree.aspx
OR you can simply backup your stuff important to usb. But like I said, you shouldn't lose anything, and all programs will be installed as well.
If you do not know your key (for when he asks during the upgrade) Windows use magical jelly bean before starting the upgrade and take notehttp://download.cnet.com/Magical-Jelly-Bean-Keyfinder/3000-18487_4-10079600.html keyfinder
NOTE: After you completed the upgrade and to my office, I was greeted with the notification

"Setup has detected that .NET Framework 4 needs to be repaired. Do not restart your computer until the repair is completed. »

It is perhaps was necessary to repair? I don't know, but it took about 10-15 mins to fix it for me.
Anyway, the bottom line is, so far, everything works well again, I can install msi without problem, I will report back if I get more specific questions, but fingers crossed I don't want.
  • Error during extraction of the vSphere Webclient 5.5 msi installer vCenter

Get quite desperate here... I try to self-study vSphere, based on a configuration of VMWare Workstation 9 version 5.5. All this on my laptop RAM 16 GB quadcore. And after two days of fighting, I can't even begin because a simple simple installation does not work!

The error that I'm stuck on whenever that occurs during the installation of the Web Client:

1152: error is C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Temp\{378E4D59-A095-46BC-BB1B-A1BCF7013AC5}\vSphere Webclient.msi in the temporary location

In fact, I notice everything first in the 'easy install' stops after successful installation of SSO and warns that I have to manually install the other components. When I do that with the Web Client, I can see the InstallShield Wizard check it out apparently with success, creating the subfolder randomness with an STD, some files of configuration and "VMWare vSphere Web Client.exe. A "decompression" begins, which is about 75%, then gives error.

-first time this happened on a Win2008 R2 VM I had installed from a template

-J' then tried on a freshly installed Win2012 RTM VM, same problem

-then tried on a Win2012 R2 RTM, here things end with another problem (mentioned in another forum, some missing file on 2012R2 and have to install manually LDS, but 2012R2 'not supported' so I'm not going to try this)

BUT! : when I start a manual installation of the Web Client on 2012 R2, the "1152 error extraction" does not happen, it passes 'unzip '! So I thought I'd be smart and just copy the folder uncompressed to the other server. Unfortunately, trying to launch the installation of these files you get a message that it only works when the VirtualCenter installation program Initializes the installation... It's to square 1 the vCenter Installer handles all the steps in a 'transaction' and I don't think you can say that you have prepared a subfolder with unzipped "VMWare vSphere Web Client.exe.

-Then, I thought since the decompression has worked on 2012 R2, but not on my 2012, it had to be some essential Windows which were published between 2012 GTR and 2012R2 update, which affected Windows Installer. So I downloaded more than 600 MB of updates on the 2012 RTM server, installed to get 100% updated (took a few hours).

    Result: no difference...

I tried other things: installation under local administrator (understand that the path of the temporary folder may have something to do), Safe Mode Setup (impossible since Windows install is not available), VM more memory of a madman 13 GB (compared to 4 GB), through 'run as administrator', race through "Troubleshoot compatibility", choose a different installation language in the drop-down list box when you start the installation...

I obviously also re-downloaded the iso file of 3.3 GB, but it has not made a difference. And I think that the decompression would also cause an error on 2012R2 then as well, if this part were corrupt.

I'm totally ideas now... Better, I tried to download and evaluate a different version perhaps? Hope someone has other suggestions.

    TIA

Hello and welcome to the communities.

May be wondering the obvious here, but you check checksums for this download to ensure that it was not corrupt?

  • MSI 970 G46 - a new chipset problems

    Nice day

Strange problem with the latest update card mother 970 a - G46. We have used these to build some servers Vmware ESXI 5.1, it worked well with a BIOS 1.X version, but it seems after that I recently bought some new boards they have updated to a new version 2.x to support new AMD Chipsets. Now when I try to load Vmware I'm stuck here where I am invited No. case network adapters detected

Extremely frustrated as MSI support said that they don't support windows operating systems and there is nothing they can do.

Otherwise, someone at - he had to deal with this?

    Hi Johsp,

Essentially, the BIOS are not something to do with the detection of NETWORK card. The BIOS is just to Prime the system. From the looks of it, what has changed in the two mothers are the Integrated NIC cards and/or the drivers/firmware.

Older boards all worked "out of the box" for what is the cards NIC that is not the case with regard to the new boards.

There are two ways to get over this:

    1. temporarily use a "support" - (basically, ' detected') PCI NIC card on new hosts and install ESXi - it will allow you to do the installation once it detects the NIC cards. After installation, you can then check and install the necessary drivers required material and once this is done, the module NICS can be removed

    2. check the exact material of the NIC cards and build a custom ISO ESXi using what is called an "Image Builder" you can manually "inject" drivers needed, so essentially, you take the default image of ESXi, customize the image and inject the drivers. Once this is done, create an ISO of it and start and install ESXi on the new hardware.

The link below should help "Image Builder"

    Overview of image Builder

If you ask me, the easiest option would be to be a couple of cheap 'over the counter' based Intel E1000 NIC cards which should allow installation to continue.
