  I guess you are talking about Windows Live Messenger because MSN Messenger doesn't really exist anymore.  If you try to use an old record or old 3rd party Web site to install it, you must obtain instead here: http://explore.live.com/windows-live-messenger?os=other.

  Well, this is a difficulty, none of them worked for me, but if anyone else has this problem, they can try everything I spose.

  As for me, I restored my original Setup and it fixed everything :)

  It is therefore now resolved, thank you all for your help and your support.

  I think that it of really difficult to tell why you get an error when you download MSN messenger.
  Where do you download the Messenger? You should try MSN or Microsoft page.

  This will happen if you click on download or start the downloaded file?

  Follow these steps to resolve the problem:

  a. uninstall Windows Live Messenger. For detailed instructions, see How to uninstall Windows Live Essentials

  b. remove the Windows Live folder in the following directories:

  C:\Program Files

  C:\Program Files\Common Files

  c. Uninstall Microsoft Visual C ++ components.

  d. restart the computer.

  e. reinstall Microsoft Visual C ++ these links:

  Download details: Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x 86)
  Download details: Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x 86)

  f. restart the computer and install Windows Live Essentials.

  Now, run Windows update and check if there is Visual C++ updates and update the same.

  But my software does not load automatically. I disabled in the msconfig.
