MSN TODAY

How to make GAMES to appear in the title bar of MSN Today (Located underneath the BING Search box.)

You can go to my MSN. Then, in the upper right, select Add content. You can do a search for MSN Games and add to your MSN page.

Not sure if that's what you want to do.

  • can I get rid of msn today completely

Hi I managed to get rid of the pop up I was wondering short to a firewall and blocking it how can I get rid of the news feed/RSS feed that chew up bandwidth msntoday I tried a lot of things in my blocking host file, but nothing helped and it bites my bandwidth like no tomorrow.

Go to http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx and download and install Autoruns (which is a GOOD program superior than msconfig that comes with Vista).  Use the program to verify which starts at startup.  There may be a specific entry just for MSN today.  If so, delete it or uncheck it so it does not start at startup.  It is not fair to not show up when you open Messenger (as the above procedures accomplish), but it also will run in the background either.

Unfortunately, if that doesn't work the only way I know to do is to uninstall all Windows Live Messenger and then reinstall it without the option Live Today.  But there are probably less radical solutions, so you must contact the experts.

If you can't find with Autoruns or that does not work (and you are not willing to do the uninstall/reinstall process that I completely understand), then I suggest transfer you your question in Forum Windows Live Messenger to: http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.windows.live.messenger where people who specialize in Messenger will be more than happy to help you with your problem.

    I hope this helps!

    Good luck!

  • This isn't a question but a complaint. Your ATT place pop announced today seems to grab my laptop and freezes me on my MSN homepage. What gives?

The AT & T advertising popup blocking everything and just keeps buffering. In the meantime, I'm locked out of everything. But I am able to get out of my start page. But the same thing happens.

I have Google Chrome and IE on my laptop and do not have this problem using these browsers.

Mozilla is not a partnership with AT & T, and certainly, we do not display ads pop up on their part. It is possible that you have malware on your machine, or need to install an adblocker.

  • Problem with the password suddenly failing to authenticate with MSN

Hello. I use Thunderbird version 24.5.0. on a Windows Vista operating system.
I use a pop framework to connect to my email.

My problem is when I try to check my e-mail MSN.com of Thunderbird account, I get the error message:

"Sending of password did not succeed. Mail server pop3.live.com responded: authentication failed"

This just started happening earlier today after having worked well for a very long time. I tried a number of things to solve this problem, including empty them the saved passwords, then reset my password on MSN and then to try the new password and nothing did. If I connect directly from the web browser on e-mail MSN account, it works fine. As far as I can see the password and user name that matches the full email address is entered correctly. Thanks for any help!

    OK I solved the problem.

I looked through all the account settings hotmail/msn and found the so-called step 2 audit was active on the account. I do not remember to activate but I disabled it and everything works fine now.

Here is some info on step 2 check and mail apps:

I checked windows firewall, javascript, my plugins, wave of shock, cookies, etc and nothing improved. I have Windows XP, I have played a few games on the MSN site the other night and everything was fine. Today, it will not download the game.

  • What is the price of MSN Premium?

I used to get MSN Premium free with my Verizon account.  Verizon has sent a notice that it would be more free, but I don't know what is the price?

    Hi Pat,

There are two price plans for former Verizon with MSN Premium customers. The $59.95 package year gives you telephone 24 / 7 technical support and MSN Premium Internet software you receive today: great security software with McAfee AntiVirus Plus - MSN Edition and Spy Sweeper from Webroot® for MSN, advanced junk e-mail filters, guard pop up and several e-mail accounts.

Alternatively, for only $9.95 per year, get MSN Premium Economy Pack which includes the same integrated our browsing experience full of MSN Premium price but with the technical support provided through forums of users, rather than by phone. McAfee® AntiVirus Plus - MSN Edition and Spy Sweeper from Webroot® for MSN security offerings are also not included with the economic package of MSN Premium.

    It's: MSN Membercenter.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

This is a very common scam and I'm sorry that you set up by it.

You should get only your problems may not have completed. It can access anything on your PC such as the passwords, personal information. and bank details. Also, they may have left malware on your PC to continue the collection of information for them in the future.

What you do is entirely your choice and can rely on the information you had on your computer. Personally, I would like to do a clean reinstall of Windows and change all passwords *. I would also say a Bank, etc. everything that happened.

    * Do not change the passwords on a potentially infected computer or scammers can get your new password.
