• MSN does not open.

  Sorry, left click the icon or right click on the desktop Start menu Internet Explorer instead of the standard that you will use to access your default homepage (MSN).

  You will see "in private browsing' and MyMSN linking options assuming you have configuration page MyMSN. If you have a MyMSN page, left-click on the link. Once your MyMSN page opens you can left-click on the icon home page of IE on the top of the page right in the header (it looks like a house) and should open your MSN home page.

  If you do not have a MyMSN page, try left-clicking on in private browsing, once IE opens in Inprivate mode left click on the home page icon in the upper header right and should open your MSN home page.

  I have no idea why the MSN homepage is accessible via myMSN and private browsing, but not directly from the IE icon on your desktop or start menu, I guess a MSN update last night has caused a conflict with IE 9.0 as IE works fine on all other Web sites.

  I just installed the latest update of the Bios for my Equium A210, as has been the first time results attempted this \i watched carefully and everything seems to go correctly but the laptop is restarted, it beeps and showed a checksum error, I chose the option to reboot with 'Default settings'

  Since that I got problems to connect to MSN Live Messenger and I wondered if this might be something to do with the Bios Update, it is also possible to 'come back' to the old Bios somehow?

  your question isn't really a related problem of the machine. The "Checksum Error" is normal after each update BIOS since the checksum of the BIOS which consists the BIOS settings and the version of the BIOS is not correct due to a modified version of BIOS.
  So, the next time that you update your BIOS you will get a "BIOS checksum error" again. Worry not Don t, it s nothing serious.

  With regard to your Messenger:
  1. uninstall the Messenger
  2. download the latest version from the MSN site
  3. install a new
  4. have fun

  Yes I have FIOS Media Manager installed, but I've done since the start of Windows 7.  For the first week or so it does not start on my download restarts.  It started with this Nov 3 update from Microsoft.  I went to downloads and there were two of them; Update for Internet Explorer 8 for x 64 based and updated Windows Defender definition.

  After you install these two updates on restart FIOS M.M. was live at startup and my favorite MSN have disappeared.  I disabled FIOS M.M., but somehow, he has been activated with this download.  I went on my drive external backup and recovered the Favorites but am always intrigued by this phenomenon and how it changed my registry.
