(b) now go to this registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Mail

(d) right click above and choose export to save

  • I moved my windows mail contacts place and now I can't find them. I get the message the file MSOE. DLL could not be initialized. Windows Mail does not open.

I was exploring the information about "move your files and user files to another partition" I'm a little short on space.   I chose the location tab in my Contacts Properties window to have a look at the possibilities of some of my folders move to another partition on my computer.   However, I clicked obviously wrong, and now I got a message that the file MSOE. Under your username must be a Contacts folder.   If there is a step, and then either move the new Contacts folder to where he was, or create a new folder under the user name, and then see if it works then.  So if you have a username of 'Heather' contacts should be under C:\Users\Heather\Contacts.  Try and then see if it works very well.  Otherwise, you will need to create a new user and then try to get this to work.

Sorry, but the info was so 'goop gobbly' for me.  Y at - it somewhere that I can download the msoe.dll?

While you might be able to, two points...

    (1) not a safe idea.  Microsoft does not offer it more (they do not support OE6) and nowhere else - you take your chances.

    (2) most important - the file is not likely your problem.  Something else is probably causing this message.

You may need to remove (I suggest renaming it to RECORDS. OLD personally) RECORDS. DBX file.  If Folders.dbx is damaged, OE often stops displaying the files to the existing *.dbx files, and sometimes OE will simply refuse to start. Also a bloated Folders.dbx can OE run very slowly. These two problems can be repaired by closing OE and deleting Folders.dbx. Understand although you will lose the mail directory structure, all the discussion lists and all synchronization options and this message rules will probably have to be edited

There is another option where you could not lose the folder structure (will not be rebuilt) because you are going to import it from a BACKUP of everything what you do by renaming the whole store folder before you rebuild everything in OE - but I thought it would be more simple.

Windows Mail and it will introduce a new message store in a new directory of Windows Mail.
Note: If make you it work, then you can go to file | Import |
Messages and point to the old directory.

    Method 2:

It doesn't work, then try to delete the identity key.

    (b) in the execution type search regedit and press enter
    (c) go to the following location:

  • MSOE. DLL could not be initialized

I've recently compacted my emails in OE express and can't open my OE.  I get the message "OE could not be started.  The application could not open the OE message store.  Your computer may be out of memory or your disk is full.  For more assistance, contact Microsoft support.  (Ox800C013B).  Outlook Express could not be started because MSOE. DLL could not be initialized.

However, I read on another forum, and in trying to fix it, I can't find the OE message store folder.  Previously, I required a password for my OE.  I have compacted my emails to my primary identity and began to receive the "file MSOE. "DLL cannot be initialized... disc is full or not out of memory" message.  I discovered that I could connect to another OE identity.  I logged in the email of alternative identity, then trying to fix the main identity (which I just can't get in) I unchecked password required on the main identity.  My email is configured to log on as an identity main so now I can't sign off another identity to perform your instructions "with OE closed."  What should I do?

Last night, everything seemed normal. When I try to open Outlook Express, I get this message. "Outlook express could not be started.  The application could not open message store outlook express.  Your computer may be out of memory or your disk is full.  Contact Microsoft Support for assistance. (0x800700C1, 193) "after this message, the message above was posted. I bought and ran a program called FixCleaner with the same results. Folders.dbx is probably damaged.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

The path to the message will be very similar to this:

    C:\Documents and Settings\Your User of utilisateur\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\ {long string of letters & numbers} \Microsoft\Outlook Express

With OE closed, find the Folders.dbx file and delete it.  Another will be created automatically when you open OE.

    Note these possible side effects:

When you re - start OE, it will build a new index of all *.dbx files it can read and create a new Folders.dbx. However, understand that you will lose the mail directory structure and message rules will probably have to be edited.
  • nianlys.dll could not be found on Windows 7

I'm having trouble installing my application on a particular computer. I sent this request several times on a number of computers, but in this particular case, I get an error when you run the program-

"System.DllNotFoundException: unable to load DLL 'nianlys.dll': the specified module could not be found." (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070007E)

    • I made sure that nianlys.dll is present in C:\Program Files (x 86) \National Instruments\Shared\Analysis.
    • I made sure that libiomp5md.dll and LV110000_BLASLAPACK.dll, mkl.msm files, are present. nianlys.dll also has a dependency on nimetautils.msm, but I do not know what DLLs are included in this.
    • I made this program is installed by running setup.exe as administrator (as opposed to run the .msi file that is generated, see here).
    • I assured that the computer in question is aware of updates of .net framework via windows update.
    • I tried to reinstall the program several times, sometimes with a newly recompiled Installer.
    • I tried to add in the 64-bit nianlys.msm in the Setup manually - project this generates an error because the project's TargetPlatform property Installer is set to x 86. The 32-bit version is, of course, already present in the detected dependencies.
    • Interestingly, taking a copy of nianlys.dll to C:\Program Files (x 86) \National Instruments\Shared\Analysis and insertion in the directory that the program is installed in throws up a different error - in this case, the error is "an attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007000B) ».
    • Take a copy of the 64-bit version of nianlys.dll from another computer (default location C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\Shared\Analysis) and by inserting in the directory that the program is installed in throws a third type of error - ' System.DllNotFoundException: unable to load DLL 'nianlys.dll': a dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed. " (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007045A) ». It is worth noting that this .dll was present before installing the program on the machines that the program works, but is not * present on the target computer, throwing problems.
    • Taking the same 64-bit nianlys.dll and insert it in the location that it was found on another computer, C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\Shared\Analysis, do not resolve the original error.
    • Interstingly even more, I have tried to reproduce the error on a computer on which the program is running - remove the x 64 version of nianlys.dll get the original HRESULT: 0x80070007E error, while remove the x 86 version is a Windows Installer appear when you run the program.
    • On a computer on which the program works without any problem, windows Task Manager does not appear to indicate that the program is 32-bit (with the * suffix 32 on the name of the program), despite the platform target to x 86 value.

It seems all that there is a problem with the nianlys.dll used in both the x 64 and x 86, despite the target platform versions only being x 86. I'm really running out of ideas on this sort of thing I could try to fix this problem, any help would be most appreciated.

Okay, problem has been resolved - see the solution to the overflow of stack here. Basically, the program was running 64-bit instead of 32-bit, and as a result of the x 64 nianlys.dll and Associates x 64 dependencies were absent.
