When I asked more information he gave me another Indian accented thickness - I asked a name remembered I was a newbie & would call her husband to return. Said his name is Tom Atkinson (didn't fit race) and gave me #(909) 647-9546-ask for Tom, the master of work TCE. It seems a similar problem has been reported in the past, already, for example here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/954186
Chances are that you have advanced security software on your computer that you're not using (banking password), which can eventually be removed from your computer (because it seems that you do not use).
I would suggest finding the control panel for your computer and removing Bank of your system password, if you know how to do this.

I have a thinkpad R51, and recently, I decided to reset to the factory settings. However, I also had installed linux and when I tried this it has failed and to restart, there was a grub error. As I was doing before, I put a CD in XP randomly and did a fixmbr, but this time, when I tried to restart the entire disk had disappeared. So now, windows no longer existed. Then I installed linux again and followed the instructions here: http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Rescue_and_Recovery to allow grub to access the partition rescue and recovery and tried again.
However, this time when I click on the "content of factory restore", all I get is a saying "the recovery of product feature ibm has been removed from this system"
Is it still possible to reset this top of the Tower, or I have to install my own OS as if he is not a thinkpad?

The complete error message that I receive is less when I try and install SQL Management Studio on a PC running Windows 7 64 bit running SQL Server 2008 R2. The only point is that Visual Studio is not installed then, how can I update something that is not installed in the first place. I was contacted by phone by a person who identified themselves as being a Microsoft technician this afternoon. After asking how much of my family's computers, they told me that our system had been compromised and that they would help us fix. After walking me through obtaining of Event Viewer, they transferred me to another person who was the senior technician (or so they said). I asked where they were from my number identified the call came from a number of British Colombia (where I live) and the installation was based in New Jersey. Unfortunately, the infection from the system has been resolved, as the higher tech hung up before that.
FYI, there are two main offices in our House, one running XP and the other Vista. We have also 4 laptops, XP, (1) Vista (1) and Windows 7 (2).

This just happened to me today, the person said in English that they were from Microsoft Windows to D.C. and I got the 2 refunds coming, one for 49.99 and one for 300.00. When you press on for more information, that they finally gave up. They wanted me to turn on my computer, so they could process this information. I never contacted Microsoft for anything, ever. Sounds like a scam to me.

Has been contacted by misrosoft technician and presured in purchasing anti-piracy program!
I was contacted by phone last night (Friday Jan 25), he identified himself as microsoft technical support. He asked me to allow him to have remote access to my laptop. He "showed" that my computer had been used by hackers to Packistan. He convinced me "stipid" to clean the laptop and buy online using my credit card a year anti-piracy software.
The wrong pollster, but he recalled to work even after I hung up. He was persistent while he eventually convince me. He did not speak English...
I was just scammed?

An individual strong accent probably (India or Pakistan) knew my name and tried to scare me giving him access to my computer (Note: your name and phone number are public and readily available documents). I played the game for a few minutes. He informed me that his company manages Microsoft software problems and called to warn me that my computer was being hacked. To prove that my computer has a problem he directed me to accomplish the following acts - press / hold the Microsoft key and press R. He asked me type eventvwr. At this point I asked the phone number and Web site - after the reception I ended the call.
The provided phone number was (786) 245-1265 and the website www.windowscare.us. I really hope there's a way Microsoft can follow the thief and put them out of business.
