  It is a big problem for us in the way we manage driver packages in SCCM, we use the terms with a WMI query in the TS to ensure that the specific driver package applies to the specific model.

  You'll want to do an additional control and watch the chassis Type.  The IOA has a Type of chassis '13' (all-in-One) so you can use this additional control to differentiate systems.

• Impossible to get Dell Optiplex 9010 to start using Windows 7 DVD

  I recently bought a new Dell Optiplex 9010 and I tried to re install the OS by partitioning the disk into two discs.  Optiplex 9010 is unfortunately not booting with DVD player. I activated the boot sequence in the WOODS at DVD, USB and hard drive, but still the same issue.

  Called dell customer service and they sent a new Win7 DVD and her we had the same problem, I'm lying to start with DVD player.

  Please start on the F12 menu and select the option to boot from the DVD drive.

  If this does not work, start with the BIOS and disable all options other start the DVD player and just keep trying.

  I have an Optiplex 9010 desktop computer with AMD Radeon HD graphics card nine 7570 and can't extend my desktop in my two 2412 M Dell monitors.  I can see the second monitor when I try to expand the display, but I get a saying that I can not save the settings.

  I enabled the multi-screen since BIOS and still nothing.  Uninstalled the drivers, reinstalled the drivers and nothing.

  Not even the AMD Catalyst software shows anywhere for me to make changes.

  I use a DVI splitter on my video card DVI output.

  My specs:

  Intel Core i7-3770 3.40 GHz

  Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit

  AMD Radeon HD 7570

  Marjoram, finally got it solved:

  1 used the AMD Cleanup utility (software catalyst never installed correctly, I have therefore had no access as a result of software).

  2 restart the computer in safe mode and uninstalled the Radeon HD 7570 from Device Manager

  3. start regularly the PC and installed the Beta of AMD driver as an administrator.

  After I did these steps, I had access to these two monitors (primary monitor connected to AMD video card DVI and secondary monitor connected via the onboard VGA).

  I could be lucky, but somehow worked.

• OptiPlex 9010 boot to USB 2.0?

  We had several dozen Optiplex 9010 s delivered recently, and we've seen mixed results, encouraging them to boot from USB.

  On all PCs I tested, I can successfully get to begin them on an external hard drive USB 3, but USB 2.0 drives fail.  We see the "Remove disks or other media" BIOS error when he tries to put control on the device.  The use of these 2.0 readers a Grub4DOS menu of start-up and works without problems on all previous Dell PCs we have in the House.  We have all kinds of bootable USB drives, some formatted with NTFS, some with FAT32, some to the FDD format and some like HARD drive.  We have recreated the MBR on the 2.0 disks over and over again, with the same result - their thin initialization on any computer, but only their counterpart USB 3 will start successfully on the 9010.

  So far, all machines have been on Raid-enabled"in the BIOS, but none of those I tested used hard drives of the AF.  However, one of my colleagues got a test computer with a drive AF to test his image, and that the machine starts in USB 2.0 without problem...  All computers involved have the same BIOS version and are set to Raid on, only the physical difference was the presence of the AF drive.

  Any thoughts?

  Hello!  Thanks for answering my question, but fortunately I had a Eureka! time this week.  All USB drives, I had tried from the same manufacturer and were all the same characteristics.  My external HARD drive worked fine, so I tried a couple of 512 MB disk to a third-party manufacturer, and they work fine, too!  It seems that the problem lies in the only brand of USB (they have a custom job, we ordered a few years back for new students).

  I can work with that, as I have a plethora of USBs lying around the office.  :-)

I downloaded a new copy and the problem was not solved.   Yes, I checked the compatibility of the chipset (since my i5 - 2410 m is HM65 and 2000 motherboard is HM76 HM76 in fact supports 2nd gen iCore)-it is even mentioned in this manual of g7-2000 equipment.

  It does not appear as if it will fit. Look at the pictures of these two systemboards, and you will see that the boards mounting holes are not the same. This would also likely that external ports probably don't line up precisely enough to adapt to the back part of the base of the laptop case.

• NB550D: speakers do not seem to be attached to the chassis

  I just got one of these today and I am impressed overall so far, with the exception of a single thig. Stakeholders do not seem to be anchored on the chassis. If I press the palmrest on each side, they collide (machine completely off). Or even strong typing are the speakers rattle away. A gentle shake of the case, open or closed will cause a rattle. Is this normal? Everything I read praised the quality of the construction of this machine, but it seems just cheap feeling. Any other observations of the owners would be appreciated. IM posting here because the thread must therefore, with speaker problems.

  To me that sounds like a HARD drive problem too, it seems that the HARD drive makes mechanical noises.

  But even that would be the speakers that you need professional help from an authorized service provider to swap parts. Guys can make an accurate diagnosis and to exchange the part. This is covered by the warranty, so it will cost you nothing.

  I used the book of images to create a book in iPhoto several times because the line between the pictures and the filling when I use 'Adapt to the chassis', is the same color as the color chosen for the borders of homepage and text boxes.  It is seamless.

  I just tried to use the book of images in pictures but the line between the pictures and the fill to 'Adapt to the chassis' is white, and not same color I chose for the page border.  It is, therefore, very ugly.

  Is it possible to remedy this situation?

• Satellite A110: I need to replace the motherboard and the CD/DVD combo drive

  I have a Satellite A1100, and my CD/DVD Combo needs to be replaced... also, I need to replace the motherboard by qualifying the connections that connect the CD/DVD drive is damaged.   How old is your machine? If you still have your warranty, so why not give your machine to a local service partner?

  So if you don t give something on your guarantee you can trade your coins. But to look for the pieces on google and you won´t get any help from toshiba (e.g. manual disassembly or something similar).

  I tried long before your request and I made my experience that if you want to open your machine your completely on your own.

  Hi, when I read the guide of the extensometer of wiring on a chassis cDAQ (http://www.ni.com/white-paper/7130/en) I found confusing fig 10 .

  What are the things between the chassis and the extensometer?

  The three wires go only one channel of the cDAQ chassis? (in Fig 10, on channel 0?)

  Why there are four terminals (CH + EX + QTR EX-) on the strain gauge, but there are only two wires coming out of my extensometer? What should I do?

  The 9219 will work.   You will need to use a measure of Bridge 2 son resistance measure quarter vs.  For more information about how to use the 9219 for 2wire resistance measurements, take a look at the 11 and 15 of the document specifications page

  When I opened today MAX, I saw the chassis figure 5 times!  I have only a single frame, and it is well plugged only USB port... why are 5 copies of listed?  See the screenshot.  I have never seen it before.

• PXI-1042 - switch LED green flashing when the chassis is disabled

  When the PXI-1042 chassis is off, the green signal LED power switch (I use the word "flicker" because the LED flashes irregularly and without full intensity) and the cooling fans will be starts randomly (sometimes one at a time, sometimes both).  When the chassis is on and in use, there is no significant difference in normal operation.  I understand that a flashing green light indicates 'air intake temperature exceeded the operating range chassis' (by Manuel PXI-1042).  I don't think that's the problem, because the chassis works very well when you use it.

  Everyone knows about this problem?  Is this a problem?

  My biggest concern would be there that it will not warn you when you are outside the temperature range. However, since it does not work correctly when the chassis is turned on, I don't think that there is a problem. Of course, there is no way to know for sure without sending the camera for RMA, but my best guess is that you'll be fine.
