• Help a SWF link to HTML pages please!

  Hello and thank you for your time , read this. I try to use a .swf for a navagation button in a Web site I've created, but I'm running into a bit of a problem. I need to know how to code the button (Flash) so that they link to my specific .html page. Is this possible to do with a realitive link? Thanks again for your time!

• Connect multiple FMS SWF on one HTML page

  I have 3 separate .swf on a simple HTML that are all connect with FMS on separate connections... Don't you think that there will be stability problems? or problems of connection... all .swf using the main.asc even. Ago no apparent problems so far just need opnion expertise... a side note is I also noticed an error in the logs of error that says sound detected a time stamp back when... recodring. whats that all about?... the app seems very well... using FMS 3.0

  You should have no problem having several .swf; s connections to the same app (or separate applications by the way).

  On the parking meter backwards... it's precious little be found on the subject, but my understanding is that it is a result of video packets arriving on the failed server. I find that, unless the warning is followed by other errors, it should not have a negative impact on the performance of the application.

  I have a model index.dwt I use for each page of my site, but in the different pages that I have another specific model for this page only. I can't apply the second model without crushing everything on the page.

• Can I use multiple < class p 'logos' = > tag with the same name in the same html page?

  I was told do not to use the < div class > tags too many times. I used them for the texts, the images, to clear the floats, basically, I built my website using multiple < div class > tags. So if I can not use several tags < div class > can I use the tags < class p > several times in the same html page?

  I restarted the site in order to write the code correctly so that I don't come from errors when downloading from the server, as I have with the above link.

  However, custom (and it's only a good one I think) are to use IDS to identify the primary container on your page.  Clearly you usually only have one header, content, footer, etc., area on a page.  This allows you to immediately identify where these rules apply.  Using a more generic class selector does not give you the same immediate locatability.  In addition to this, ID selectors have a specificity greated than the class selectors, which reinforces the rules cascade in the specific containers.

• Making a swf to wait until the rest of the HTML page is ready?

  I have a site with a common SWF embedded at the top of each page and then regurlar HTML graph/text content below it.

  I expect that the SWF file can be a little late for it load the rest of the page would appear almost immediately... and that happens from time to time.

  However, the only thing that I didn't expect and don't understand, is that sometimes the SWF will appear first and even start to play, but the rest of the page does not appear for a second or two, so I find myself with this SWF floating black film.

  Not quite sure what is now the back page, since most graphs are shared and common on every page.  There are a few embedded videos (with frames displays, so they shouldn't take too long to load) on some pages, which are probably the culprits.

  What I do not understand (plus, how to optimize pages), that's why the SWF appears and plays, if there is an item in the table that contains all the content of the page.  I thought that the tables displays only once all that is responsible... So, why the SWF would appear before the other items are ready?  I'm assuming that the other (not common) elements are not finished downloading... Although I am starting to suspect that perhaps that they are, and the delay is something else... like the QT embedded in "initializing" or something?

  Anyway, I don't think there is a solution here, but I will ask...  Is there a way for SWF waiting for the rest of the page to finish doing anything, it is that is causing the delay?

  Strange thing is it's the kind of random...  Sometimes it loads instantly... other times, either the SWF is floating on a black background for a second or two... or the rest of the page appears, and this is the SWF file that is overdue.

  Does anyone have advice, words of wisdom, or pieces of trivia that could be useful here?

  As far as I know, you can't really control how to load an html page.   Things find a route faster than others.  Requests arriving on the server and things delivered by any way they can.  Some things are made in the local cache, so there is always a risk that certain elements are readily available despite their size, and other tiny things get caught up in travel.

  Simple question is, how do I Center my swf file on my index.template.html page? One of my css definitions do not work. Do I have to use the basic html table element or what?. I also need to set the background image for my <>application but definition background-repeat will not work.

  Hi I'm new to DW/FLA, so this may be simple but I can't understand it. I have a swf embedded on my index.html page. It has 4 images on it, and when each image is reversed, it changes. I coded it through Flash successfully. In addition to the reversal, I need to have each image link to a separate html page (home.html, about.html, contact.html, etc.). I tried getURL, but as "home.html" is not www.home.com/home.html, it doesn't seem to work. This site is not live yet so I don't have web URL link to.

  Can anyone help me please with this code. FYI, the SWF is AS2.

  In Flash, you'll need to each image a link to your Web site absolute URL.  Where votre_domaine.fr is the name of your current web site.  And home.html is the default index page required by your host server.

  First of all, the size of the screen is never the same as the size of the browser to not use if
  you want to keep the proportions when scaling your files and do not distort the
  content. Keep in mind that the browser has its chrome all around, more grand, being on top

• Dragging several gif files to an HTML page

  I used to be able to drag 100 or more GIFs in a Dreamweaver html page empty (in the CS6 version) in a single action (directly from Windows Explorer to Dream weaver.   This feature still exists, but you must be in "Design" mode and no split or live view to make it work.

  you don't need javascript if you just want to 'read' the html code.

  reading the code html in flash is not difficult.  You can use the urlloader class to load an html page.

  the hardest part is the display which is coded in the html page.  you will need to parse the HTML (using flash/string array methods) and take appropriate action to display content encoded in the page html manually.

  2. it can depend, but ENCs, you are probably using the timeline, very probably, that you just need to put a stop(); command in the last image to stop at the end.

  To play again, your power button code must understand something like: gotoAndPlay (1);

  How the button code is depends on which version of Actionscript using your file.

  3. When you publish your swf file, I also Flash publish an html file (configure you publishing settings).  You can then take this html file and copy the embed code that it contains your page file html web.  You will have to perhaps include a javascript file, as well to make it work, and you can say that looking at the head of the HTML code Flash created... that code head must also go to your page file web html and the javascript file must be placed according to how your html code targets there.

  You might do better just to get the html page that Flash creates working first for you.  He could find how to move into your web page more easy.

  My opinion: the best way to learn Flash for yourself is to simply dig in and keep him home.  You will lose hair, sleep and your mind as you will, but eventually, you get used to that or you defeat.

  Hi everyone, I continued to find a solution and had no luck. My site has 5 buttons flash (tabs) to take you to a new html page. Whenever you access a page the button seems to have to re - charge to create a "white flashing" inside the cell. The background of the fla file is black and I the table cell background set to black, hoping that would help, but nothing helped. I thought once that a swf file is loaded it will not have to re - load. Swf files are the same on all pages. Any help would be appreciated.

  If you embed the same swf in each of your html pages, the SWF will load the cache of the user (if they have one).  but you will still see a momentary flash of white.

  You can prevent the Flash using iframes and load your swf file in one of the frames and to have the swf buttons directly changes to an another iframe (s).
