  1. Did you the latest changes on the computer?
  2. Do you have any third-party DVD burning software installed on the computer?

  If it helps, try the steps and check them off below.

  (a) check that the DVD burner is properly connected to your computer and power, and that any necessary software drivers for the DVD burner are installed. You can check your hardware settings in Device Manager by following these steps:

  ·          Click Startand then click Control Panel.

  ·          Click hardware and sound.

  ·          Click on Device Manager.

  (b) ensure that the videos you try to burn are not corrupt. To see whether the videos you want to burn are corrupted, try playing or viewing with Windows Media Player. If the files do not play with the player, Windows DVD Maker cannot burn.

  (c) select a slower combustion for your DVD burner speed as follows:

  ·          Return to the Add pictures and video to the DVD page and then click on Options.

• . Treated AVI as Audio in Movie Maker and corrupt in Windows DVD Maker.

  I have a lot of. AVI files I want to burn to a DVD.  I do not have another series of. Notice to try with these programs to see if it's just them.

  Windows Movie Maker treats as Audio files, I tried to disable compatibility filters.  I tried this on two computers to Vista.

  Creating Windows DVD said me:

  I tried to convert the files with "Any Video Converter", but there is a substantial loss of the quality of .wmv and mpeg conversion.

  I tried "of Aimersoft DVD Creator' trial, but video lags behind audio when I play the video in this program.  The videos show very well "Media Player Classic Home Cinema".

  How can I fix these files. AVI or convince Movie Maker and DVD Maker to care for them properly?

  I used Freemake for one of the .avi files convert an .avi file. This increased the size of the file by more than 300% no change in quality.  Windows Live Movie Maker considers the new .avi properly, but not creating Windows DVD or Windows Movie Maker, they still refuse to import or use it as audio, respectively.

  I have converted the new .avi to .wmv with Freemake file and it seems that the quality is actually improved from the original. Windows DVD Maker will accept this new .wmv.

  I'll convert others, burn and return with the results for the benefit of anyone else who has this problem.

  Convert .avi .avi files then .wmv and burn with Windows DVD Maker have exceptional results.  As seen on TV quality is slightly better than the quality of the original .avi files on the computer.  Don't know what attribute this too, but I'm pretty happy.
  Sorry for the late reply, but it took time to convert, convert, burn and test.

  (1) you get an error message?

  (2) is this problem limited to only a specific video file format? Have you checked with different videos with different types of files?

  Step 1: Change Windows DVD creation settings and check if the problem persists

• Using creation of Windows DVD in Vista Ultimate (32 and 64 bit)

  When you create a slideshow, DVD maker allows you to add music to the slideshow but will play only the first song that you enter in the list.  Move the songs allows that one to play, no matter which one it is.  The slideshow works perfectly, but the addition of music does not work.  Does anyone have a "fix" or a reasonable work around this short of creating an audio streaming of all of the music and then add it?  Ralph W.   I have some other ideas, but it becomes more an environmental issue. Something (I couldn't say what) is causing interference with the audio. As this occurs only with online video/music and not anything ran computer laptop or DVD directly, this indicates that it would be something to do with the Internet.

  There might be questions about Internet bad signals via wireless or bad connections to Web sites. You have problems with streaming?

  You can also try to connect to your network with an Ethernet cable, to test. The question is perhaps more wireless streaming. Again, this could indicate some sort of interference.
  You can also test your router with the nearby. If you notice the problem disappears in some places but is apparent or worse in others. Check to see what's around, other devices may cause the buzz.

  Have you noticed problems in streaming video and audio on other capable network devices (iPhone, Desktop, etc.).

  The last possibility, again it goes back to poor/bad Internet could be the router itself. If it is older, then it might 'go. '

  I know nothing of the above are direct troubleshooting suggestions for the laptop, but two doing exactly the same thing is very rare. More often then not it is and indication that "something else" happening. The idea and the tests above could help determine what exactly will.

  I made a video of my Windows Movie Maker project and have tried several times to burn through my Windows DVD Maker with the burning of 7% max.  After that, it gets stuck.  However, my other several attempts were a result of burning of 1% and it stuck.  I've left overnight to see if it was the capacity but the next day it is still 1%.  I did other projects without problem.  It is only with this project.  I don't understand why it won't let me if I used Windows movie maker without problem.  The video was originally in AVI, but I was able to convert a 3GP using dvdvideosoft software. Then only, I have done a project using my Windows Movie Maker.  The full minutes of this project is 90 minutes, while the DVD that I want to burn it holds 150 minutes.  Can you help me?  Tried several things and can not find the solution.  I don't know that there must be a solution.

  I'm using Win7 x 64 RC

  the same clean "BURNER NOT FOUND"!

  1 - Go to the Device Manager "do right click in the icon my computer."
  2 - Select DVD /CD-ROM
  3. disable all virtual rom you like "farston Virtual cd or dvd driver image.
  4. it will be said, you need to restart your PC after a reboot, your DVD maker it will burn corect!
  and now im burning my DVD!
  After that finsh, you can re-enable the virtual DVD/Cd...

  I know its annoying whenever you want to create a dvd, you need to do this step! and if I find another solution, I'll post it here...

• Creation of Windows DVD, encoding of problems/gel/stops

  I am trying to burn a DVD video disc of dvr - ms files, but I had tons of problems with DVD Maker included in Windows 7.

  I am burning 2 files dvr - ms to about 1.75 hours of video each (3.5hrs) total on a DVD + r double layer everything goes well when I slipped the creation of DVD files and previews work very well.

  DVD Maker encoding start quite well until ' he reached about 80% of the encoding, then suddenly goes to 99% encoding and said that "year error occurred when burning the DVD. The burning process, even n start (my DVD is left intact) and the error message is not very useful. I have disabled all codecs (in the options), changed the media disc, even tried to burn on a virtual, also try burner on a clean install of 7 in a VM, still no luck.   Go I love Windows 7 but DVD Maker from Microsoft really needs a rejuvenation treatment technical for coding and the combustion process. It shouldn't be so complicated that burn a dvr - ms to DVD file, seriously.

  EDIT: It worked when converting dvr - ms to avi files, but now I'm getting burning problems. DVD Maker says "Please enter another recordable DVD" to a disc after burning (because he has got more capacity?), and 2 other discs have their last chapters not readable.
